F15 has better thrust to weight ratio, payload, ferry range, and higher top speed. It's one of the handful of aircraft in the world that can actually increase speed going vertical. I agree, the F15 is a queen amongst queens…& the F16 is a beautiful, sleek princess. Unfortunately, time and progress make their mark…The F22 & F35 are the future. But the F15 & F16 will always have a special place in my heart.

@@JayKay-on2gr Most developed countries are choosing to purchase F-35 and F-16 Viper nowadays. That's a very competent combo. Look at Israel, Greece, Japan, S. Korea, etc. While Vipers are affordable and economical to maintain, the remaining budget can be allocated to the more expensive F-35 which demands a lot of infrastructure and training.
Whether or not one is better than the other, we can all agree that both these aircraft are amazing

The way the F-16 just rips across those high speed turns looks absolutely amazing. To think civilians will have access to demilitarized F-16's is mind blowing.
The amount of time and effort to get approved would take years or even decades depending on who's asking to get one. Extremely protected aircrafts as well, too soon to tell tho

I would say the F15 probably has because in its original variants it was designed strictly for air to air combat whereas the F16 was used in air to ground along with its air to air capability.
That's right, as originally designed, the 15 was to be an air superiority fighter, while the 16 was to be a multirole fighter. Ultimately, they both ended up doing both air to air and air to ground missions, but to ask which one is better is asking if an apple is better than an orange. If anything, they can certainly compliment each other when used in tandem.

F-16 is probably the most dangerous fighter to go against it's small hard to see and can turn on a Dime because of it's fly by wire system though F-15 is more powerful but it's a bigger target that's why it was called the flying Tennis Court i give F-16 edge in close air combat maneuvers but beyond visual range F-15 get the edge

here's the thing, with modern upgrades going up against 1st world militaries there's no such thing as beyond visual range hardly anymore. a good pilot in an f16 is more dangerous in a air to air fight. f22 is the only aircraft out maneuvering an f16 barely. not an f18, not a f15 nothing else.

The twin-engine of F15 are so powerful that an Israeli jet fighter has flown and landed with only one wing after a collision with an A-4 Skyhawk.
The wings really are just their for initial lift, after that it turns into a rocket, the engines keep it on the proper velocity vector.

@@kylesmith9048 No, but the engines are so powerful that whatever vector you are on you can stay, even without wings. You still need to use control surfaces for all vector changes, but once you get on the proper vector, the engines are all you need.
The F-16, for example, still need its wings to stay upright.

They're building brand new F-15EXs for one reason and one reason only, because it's the greatest air superiority fighter in the world and they're not going to let go of it! F-15 first took flight on July 27th, 1972 and it just celebrated it's 50th anniversary on July 27th, 2022! The F-15 has always been my favorite fighter. It dominated the world's skies until the F-22. That being said, the F-16 is a thug, the Honey Badger of the air and lb/lb, $/$ the F-16 has been and will remain the king. Especially in a dogfight. If you can only have 1 fighter, you'd be crazy not to take the F16. The stealth fighters are good, but they are high maintenance headaches without a massive military industrial complex behind it.

They fire the same aim-120 missile lol... Bvr is gonna be who gets the missile off first. F15 might have the edge in missile energy because of its higher speed but i guarantee you neither is gonna go on close enough to the wez cause they'll both die.
Closer they get the more advantage goes to f16 and within visual range with hmcs in the f16 can just look and lock the sidewinder on. Not sure if f15 has the hmcs or not
Moral of the story is they're both badass and can crush any other enemy planes. The f22 and f35 would absolutely crush the f15 and f16 let alone enemy planes. Don't fuck with the us air force.

f16 at low altitude can our maneuver any aircraft. the f22 pilots say the f16 with the right pilot is the hardest to kill. 2 different jobs. oh and you can field 7 f 16's to 3 f 15's. combat records prove the f16 is the best money spent for an aircraft in the WHOLE US military. more munitions dropped successfully than any other fighter aircraft. please think of that list:

What 2025 in service u r talking about. The F-15 maybe and that's a HUGE maybe. The F-16 was upgraded to the block 70 Viper designation. Except stealth, it's almost as good as the F-35, it is called 4.5 generation now. With the new AMRAAM and radar capabilities along with it's communication capabilities even with foreign aircraft (rafale) it will be in service even in the USA until 2045 minimum.

The F15 is better because the F15 was build on the idea of every single pound dedicated to Air To Air capabilities.
The F16 was a jack of all trades.
Than the F15E proved to be even better at ground to ground than the F16.
Being able to fight its easy to the target, bomb it and fight his way out again.
Nah, the f-15 built for different purpose, the f-16 is much more maneuverable than the f-15, also the f-16 has better turn rate, he can pull more G and he has sharpers turn which is very useful in a dogfight, while the f-15 is faster, had better climb rate and better in air to ground fight, in a 1v1 fight between those two aircrafts the f-16 has better chance to win

F16 is better than F15 in Maneuver, Dogfiht, Air Air Combat, But F15 is superior to F16 in Speed, Service Ceiling, Bomb Capacity, Thrust Power, so F15 is one or two clicks better than F16
F22 will just put these to shame.
I hope the 6th gen fighter can at least come close to the f22 while also being a reasonable price.

I know it's very subjective but I find the F-16 to be the most beautiful looking fighter ever designed. But the F-15 is beautiful as well and very nostalgic due to the Transformers lol. My favourite character starscream was an F-15. Eurofigher, Rafael and Gripen are also very beautiful and all share a similar look. but yeah, subjective
