  • See how to install your S2 KRX clutch kit (primary weights + spring). Video was shortened up as much as possible to help speed install time. Make sure step 1 is to remove your plastic outer clutch cover. Thanks for watching!

Just an FYI for anyone NOT changing primary spring. - you can replace the weights without removing the top plate or clutch housing,

Is there a reason why you wouldn't lube the pins while you have them out?

Certainly a bit of anti seize or high temp grease LIGHLTY on the inside diameter of the weight will help against corrosion. This can however attract dust, so if often riding behind others creating dust, use caution.

Good video. Question, is the AA spring stronger than stock or weaker?

Thanks! Our spring is stiffer than the OEM primary spring to help give more belt grip and weight grip at higher RPM's

Three bolts in secondary not needed. One bolt will work.

Agreed, one bolt will normally work but it's easier on the threads it to use all 3. The secondary spring in the KRX is very stiff. We suggest all 3 bolts to make sure you don't strip one of the threads. Thanks!

I had a shop install your kit but they did not do the spring no in 1st gear on take off the rpms go real high before it fells like the belt grabs could this be why?

No, this would not cause high engagement of the clutch. The OEM spring should engage as low as ours. Make sure the clutch is assembled correctly and that the weights are moving freely on the pins. As per our instructions, a small dab of high temp grease should be used on the weight ID where the pin goes into. Thanks!

I see some kits don't have a spring....is it necessary?

Hey! Yes we suggest the spring for proper tuning or the weight setup we give won't be accurate. The spring provides quicker back shifting of the clutch so when trail riding you will get better primary clutch response when in/out of the throttle.
