2021 Tesla Model Y (windshield replacement)

Replacing the windshield on the 21 Tesla at my shop in Simcoe, follow us as we go over it from beginning to end.
Yes I called it a Model 3 at the beginning, I forgot what one we have here today, next Friday we are doing a Model 3, and today was the Model Y. so my mistake on that

Seen a installation when they leave the wire harness and mirror connected to the glass and disconnect it at the passed side foot panel and remove interior r/s trim ? Thinking about trying it tomorrow.

What are those wires for on the bottom of the new windshield, you didn’t show that part

That is for the heated wiper park area. Keeps your wipers from freezing in the winter, most new cars have them now

So you are not a fan of the modular parts? Do you prefer the cars with lots of fasteners? Or are all ADAS cars a pain in the butt? What is it that makes you say the Tesla cars are crap?

@rosslawrence4628 the build quality is very poor. I feel like I'm sitting in a $10,000 car retail. Interior parts don't fit together well. All around a very cheap car with a way over priced price tag

I don't know of any $10,000 new cars, but $20,000 will get you a cheap car. I agree, the model 3 & Y are cheap cars, as cost goes into the battery. It is kind of like buying a $20.000 ICE car with $20,000 of gas it is going to need in the future. Gas cars are cheap if you only need to drive a car for 6 months, electric are cheap if you need to drive for 6 years.
