- Track Bower Lake (version A) from Fable II recording sessions is one of the many beautiful themes composed by Russell Shaw for this hit video game. This is in my humble opinion one of the best video game score ever.
Score selection available on CD and digital release from label Sumthing Else Music.

I can hear my dog barking from my distant memories. He's calling me, he probably found some rare treasure in the ground, maybe even a condom.
This comment reeks of the humor in albion
Thank god "used" uses a difference mechanism in games than to real life.
jajajaja on the path to brightwall there is a place where you can dig and find that condom, good reference
This was the last thing I played my grandmother before she died. We didn't think she could even cry anymore but there was that one golden tear from her eye. Special song.
The uilleann pipes get me every time.
Looking forward to Fable 4 in 2024! Hope some of the old music is there.
I can't remember the name of the music but our music teacher tried teaching us about pieces of music that overlap and continually play, she had some classical pieces.. I didn't take no for an answer. Played this on the whiteboard. I got an A+.
Was this on flute or violin? Props to the teacher for recognising the masterpiece
"Yer tha most sorreh excuse forra hero oi eva saw!"
Thank you Russell Shaw for this incredible soundtrack for all Fable games!
Absolutely beautiful
Classic loved listening to this around this time November and December just got threw listening to it epic
We got Lost Chapters, Anniversary and Fable 3... come on bring Fable 2 to PC.. best one!.
This theme is the true theme of season of autumn 🍂
This track always reminded me of Black & White ost, which makes kinda sense since it's another Lionhead game..
i just hope our next addition to the franchise ... will capture atleast 50% of the magic it did back then... so many dissapointments in recent years....
You can tell the composer loved the theme of The Shire.
curious what you mean? seems like potential for a music rabbit hole for me :)
More like music of Scotland, than the Shire
@@crestfallenknight7983 Uillean pipes though afaik, so it's just generally Insular Celtic/Goidellic peoples. The sound of magic IMO.
