@Malcolm Reynolds That's BS. You can find a job in every city in the US if you actually want to. Also the cost is living is 4x cheaper in a smaller town or city. For some reason that always gets over looked. Rent/mortgage aside, you can get the daily lunch special at this little bar in my hometown for $6.50. And if you don't want the whole thing you can order a half for $4.50! Try doing that in LA, good luck, you'll spend $18 on just a burger n fries. @Malcolm Reynolds Dude, every city with at least half a million citizens offers great career opportunities. You do not need to live in a 15 million people metropole in order to have a decent wage and a fun job. Why would you? Texas has also big companies and is way cheaper than California. In Germany, the Netherlands or Belgium you can live in nice beautiful cities with amazing companies, but half the living costs of LA.
I grew up in Bay Area CA. I drive for Lyft. I noticed the farther people are from San Fransisco, the happier people are. Im sure that goes for most big cities.
It wasn't so bad in the past when prices were affordable and there was breathing room for the average person financially, but as a fellow person born in the Bay who has family from the Bayview neighborhood of SF dating back generations, it saddens me to see what has become of the Bay. I wouldn't mind the tech sector being here so much if they shared the bounty with the rest of us. Also the NIMBYs who oppose any new affordable housing that will let people actually contribute to the local economy that they love to use. Now people are being forced to other areas where they complain about the massive influx of Californians when in reality we are the first wave of people being displaced which creates a domino effect.
ggstatertots so it wasn’t like this before? Im in my 30s so I can’t really judge how people were in the 90s because when you’re a kid you can’t really understand this stuff. But now that I’m older I can see how things work now such as the economy. Wish it wasn’t like this but I can’t be mad because to me business is business I guess. Home/apartment owners will charge rent to maximize profit. If I was them, I’d probably do the same.
@@ErrolBeats lol I'm actually in my 20s but I have deep roots here in SF. My grandmother would tell me stories of how Bayview was a working class neighborhood with all different kinds of people living there (I have Mexican ancestry) but there were also Filipinos, blacks, Chinese, Italians, Maltese, Irish, Samoans, Tongans, Armenians, Palestinians, etc all in one neighborhood exchanging foods, having get togethers and what not. Carlos Santana would even practice guitar in my grandmother's basement when they were teenagers and my family is the one that made the mission style burrito which is commonplace everywhere now. That culture of the Bay is now overshadowed by the newly emerged tech sector/culture and the actual locals with roots here barely get to express that especially now that many have been forced out due to the sky high cost of living. It makes me sad that people can't afford to live where their family has been for generations.
San Francisco in the 90s was amazing. Still expensive as hell, but you could roommate up with two or three people and still live in a bohemian paradise. It's changed now that the techies have taken over. Still amazing weather, though.

BV Seattle, San Fran, and the Emerald Triangle on the West coast.
In the Midwest Kansas City is cool. Not a fan of St. Louis and Chicago.
On the east coast I love Boston and in general the more smaller rural areas all over New England are cool. NY is cool for what it is, but I have no desire to live there.

@@ErrolBeats lol I'm actually in my 20s but I have deep roots here in SF. @@collectorduck9061 he passed away in 2016.
I doubt it. Though he may be happier, and it’s not like celebrities and comics won’t fly out to another state to do one of the top watched podcast that exists.
No we aren't, it's gone. He doesn't even do live podcasts anymore it's all been pre recorded since about April, R.I.P JRE
Denver is getting crowded fast. Every year it’s getting worse on these highways
Kansas City would love to have you as a resident Joe! And your boy Johnny Blaze is here.
1:19, The eyebrow raise from Joe when he finds out a piece of valuable information pahahahha
25,000 cant be correct. I'd believe 2,500 but 25,000 a month is alot!
@@euphoricyeti10001 maybe in the past few months but definitely not average of the last few years
He raised his eyebrow cause 25,000 people per month sounds like horseshit (which it is). Their most recent census was +80,000 over the course of a year.
Nah it's true. I live in Denver and the highways here are now stop-and-go bumper-to-bumper at all hours of the day.
Wee Fozzie Biy shits cleannn 😂😂😂
New York is the same way. You REALLY get to see how crowded and disgusting the people are here when you ride the subway.
Visited NYC genuinely thought everyone was nice but then some guy threw up on me in the subway at 3:00 PM and he wasn’t homeless.
New York is fucking awesome if you want to live in suburban boring death go for it but don't talk shit on the cities that is where all the good shit is too.
There are good people in New York city, and parently your not one of them New York is probably glad your gone and I say good riddance to you to
Stephanie S nope and the MTA employee that was on the ride didn’t do anything either. Probably because he’s a unionized government employee.
*Never* had a bad experience in NYC and I exclusively get around on the subway.
They all say they're going. None of them ever do. He's just like the rest of them.
I live in LA. I'm leaving next year and I'm counting down the days. I hate it now
Joe is actually leaving...to Texas I believe.
ahpacific smart man
Actually looking to move to LA to expand business and personal ventures. There is a ton to do in Los Angeles with Golf, shows, parks, beach, mountains, and so many more things. If your wanting to experience those things you must plan traffic accordingly.
All those places are shut down by that goof ball governor...you can't do #$%# now and when you can it's way too damn busy..
You've been wanting to move for ten years. my god.
yeah nothing is worse then the guy always saying he's going to move away
Who can blame him? LA is like a third world country right now.
@@JoeyCentral let's not be dramatic I live by juarez Mexico .. it's not even comparable
@CIA operative Unless he holes himself there 24/7, then I'm sure just passing all that filth is enough to want to move out.
Move to Chicago, in 20 years you may have the whole city to yourself
If you survive that long. Better to wait 20!years, then move there.
Are people rapidly moving out of Chicago or something?
@@alyxskyler The population is declining, it is not an exodus by any means, but for a joke CZcams comment it is true enough.
@@MrJamberee The perceived "dangerousness" of Chicago is mostly the result of Fox propaganda about the home city of a recent black POTUS. They are nowhere near the top of the lists of "dangerous" cities on a per-capita basis. The bad rap has made them more conscious of things though, and crime rates are actually dropping. I can dis Chicago, I'm from around there, but I gotta clear up the myths.
@@paulpeterson4216 actually Chicago has more crimes then some countrys
Born and raised in Los Angeles , I moved away 30 years ago. Best thing I ever did. My stress level disappeared and I am much healthier now. I now live in the Santa Ynez Valley, population about 20,000. It's great.
Was in Italy pre-Covid for a few weeks. It makes you wonder why you live in the US.
Too bad Italy as corrupt as fuck.
