- Ludwig the Accursed is easily the best boss in all of Bloodborne. We also go up against Micolash, The Amygdala and Mergo's Wet Nurse.
Bloodborne is a 2015 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony for the PlayStation 4. Bloodborne follows the player's character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian-era-inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease. Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings

this series so far is like :
jack - "i have done this so many times , it will be easy " = gets one shot or dies in a stupid funny way
jack- " i have never done this " or "i don't know how to do it 100% of the time " = gets It first try

Do you realize how hard souls games are? You could be the best player in the world but if you made one mistake you would die to even just the common enemy's
@@panstan4952 yeah I see that and that’s the hilarious part my guy 😂
He just sets himself up for his own subconscious moments of pure ..... "WHAT" made
47:15 About Arianna and her pregnancy, there was a prophecy (found in Byrgenwerth) that said "When the red moon hangs low, the line between man and beast is blurred. And when the Great Ones descend, a womb will be blessed with child". The Great One that got her pregnant was Oedon, and considering the chapel you sent her to is the Oedon Chapel, that could have facilitated the whole thing (since Oedon is formless there was no physical sex, but Arianna didn't consent to it). The product of Great Ones impregnating human women are Celestial Children, which indicates Arianna has special blood (Oedon not only uses blood as a medium, but he and his followers always seek "precious blood"). Also, the reason why Sister Adella can potentially kill her is because of Arianna's blood, since it's implied Arianna is a descendant Cainhurst Vilebloods (for example, she wears the same kind of dress worn by Cainhurst nobility, and the description of her blood says "A member of the old Healing Church would know that her blood is similar indeed, to precisely what was once forbidden", which also is a reference to Cainhurst blood).
Wow. The lore is so descriptive. I love going through these kinds of comments!
Great stuff man! Awesome to hear some extra lore from the comments
The faux Iosefka also gets impregnated, doesn't she? Or am I remembering that incorrectly? I get my lore mixed up sometimes.
@@ailynevensen There is a chance fake Iosefka was pregnant because you can get a Third Umbilical Cord from her (as seen at 1:22:25), but there's no hard evidence of that in the game. Also, since the description of her cord only mentions Willem ("Provost Willem sought the Cord in order to elevate his being and thoughts to those of a Great One, by lining his brain with eyes. The only choice, he knew, if man were to ever match Their greatness") , that seems to imply the cord was originally his, but fake Iosefka stole it and consumed it in an attempt to ascend (which seemed to be happening, since she mentioned how she felt eyes starting to writhe inside her head). You can also compare that to the desciption of Arianna's child's cord, which does mention her pregnancy: "Every Great One loses its child, and then yearns for a surrogate, and Oedon, the formless Great One, is no different. To think, it was corrupted blood that began this eldritch liaison."
Isn't Arianna like the cousin of Annalise Queen of the Vilebloods, and that is the reason her blood is special?

My favorite thing ever is how Sean doesn’t get overly angry when he dies, he just laughs!
Thats because its absurd he died. Hes a legend at this game and the idea of failure is madenning because i knows he'll just beat it right after.
The game's still fun even when things go horribly, horribly wrong -- the trick is being able to laugh at your mistakes and failures, rather than let them bring you down. Sean's _mastered_ that.
Whatever do you mean? He's never died in this series. Not a single time.... ever. 😊
Comes with having many hours in soulslike games. They beat you down till you love it. lol
Past a certain point with these games, those kinds of deaths are just really entertaining. You kinda just sit there like "yes that tracks. I kinda deserved that one" laugh it off and go. I've been doing a SL 1 run in DS3 just to change it up, and I'm at the point where literally every enemy one shots me. I can't do anything but laugh.

He is my favorite CZcamsr for a long time as well. He's so kind. We love his personality and it's a joy even if we don't really like the game he's playing.
Actually these games are so annoying if you have no experience with them at all, but once you get used to them and realize what's actually dangerous and what's not it becomes a lot less annoying and you starr enjoying it alot especially when you focus on learning from your mistakes. They have a learning curve, bt it's sure as hell a satisfying one. The things Sean is gushing about all the time are also some of the things that make these games worth it. No other series gives off the same vibes as these games.

I love Ludwig's roaming beast eyeball during the transition to phase two. He's frantic like prey yet calm narrating his attachment to the sword. Almost as if his soul or inner self is far removed from the monstrosity we do battle with. In many ways, he is already dead.
41:50 - "Hello there"... "General Grevious"

Yeah! Well… I’m much older, so I feel like I’m watching my son. 😂 But I get you. And because Seán mentioned he recorded Bloodborne before playing Uncharted with Tom Holland, how much do you wanna bet he finished it in one day?
I absolutely love Ludwig for one simple reason. He's transition from a meat-and-potatoes Bloodborne beast into a skilled swordsmen. It's such an amazing transformation! He falls down a beast, and rises a man.
to me it’s the best boss fight in the game, it may not be the most mechanically complex or satisfying but nothing will replace the feeling when you watch that transition cutscene for the first time
Tbh, I was pretty surprised that he died that much. It took me 5 tries to defeat him on my first play-through, so I was really disappointed that Jack was really struggling with him when he played the game more than 20 times all the way through.

Fun fact! They're called the Shadow's of Yharnam because they "shadow" Queen Yharnam (the tall lady in the white dress). You always meet the Shadows before you ever meet her, both in the actual Shadow's of Yharnam boss fight and also before the Wet Nurse fight. They're pretty much her bodyguards.
Less her bodyguards and more her prison guards, as they are more or less explicitly aligned with the School of Mensis. I have never seen any bloodborne gameplay before in my life, but jack's playthrough has made me realise I absolutely adore the aesthetics of this game. Visuals are completely my style.
The attention to detail in this game is so insane! The carriage has ribbons on the doors. That's how you raise and lower the windows in a carriage! The fact that they included them means they did their research even on things that don't matter as much!
That’s FromSoft.. people always talk about the difficulty or the combat in Soulsborne games, but the real reason people love them is the insane attention to detail and care they put into their worlds and design. The games are a breath of fresh air in the current gaming economy. I wish more people would experience these masterpieces, but I’m also happy that FromSoft doesn’t compromise in their vision to make challenging games. It makes the discoveries and exploration even more rewarding because you have to work for it.
Actually, the Queen is WHERE the name Yharnam comes from! She was a queen of the Ancient Pthumerians, the inhabitants of the Chalice Dungeons that are supposedly buried under the City of Yharnam, and were closed off by the Healing Church because their explorers kept going mad from the things they'd seen. Queen Yharnam was impregnated by a Great One, but miscarried or something, and died shortly afterwards, hence why she's a ghost. And even if that wasn't why she is dead, it would doubtless be because this all happened CENTURIES before the City of Yharnam existed!
Wasn't this as they failed to inpragaganant a human what inspired them to *SPOILERS*

It's an elegant dance between to hunters, her mix of speed and delayed attacks feels so perfect to me and the more you damage her the harder she fights, the music to me really hits hard as well and when that second phase starts you can really hear in the song how hard she's fighting, pushing herself to her limit to prevent you from finding the hunters sins buried in the fishing hamlet I think it's truly a beautiful duel
I wasn’t sure if I would watch this Series but I’m SO glad I did, Bloodborne is my new favorite souls game ( coming off of sekiro) and you playing it was my inspiration to play it around 14 times, thank you So much Jack!
1:08:16 Dude literally came out of nowhere. That comedic timing is perfect.
This series has definitely been the highlight of the year so far
I literally love watching your play throughs!!! They have helped me through so much of my depression and through my challenges in life you have made me into to person I am today you have seen me through some of my worst days but I always came to you and you always made it better I love you Jack!!!
hey, I've never been able to play many video games, but through you I can really enjoy them. Thanks for this series as well as previous and coming ones. I'm also very glad you showed us your favourite gane, that's really sweet and it's so fun to watch!
Watching this feels like I'm watching my big brother play a game and he's teaching me about it so when I play it won't be as hard, which is an experience I've never had lol.
Jack you have no clue how much this series has already taken over my life I've been waiting all day for this 🙏🏻
for real
Honestly, pancakes. Same. The moment i saw this was up i clicked on it.
@Savetion 👑 haha very funny man did ur 4th step dad teach u that
@@bogdandrgn242 they’re bots just report and pay not attention
@@drbeans9639 dunno this sad fuck has videos and replies to people on his channel
I would love a longer series of this. Just like a full appreciation where he does the side quests and looks at the lore. Just a lore run. Hes so good at this game that he could totally pull it off
i like how genuine this playthrough feels.
"You were at my side, all along" This still sends chills down by spine and I haven't even got this boss yet.
I highly recommend playing it
What was the sword he was using
@@lordice5842 holy moonlight sword
@@lordice5842 The Moon Light Greatsword. It is a weapon that is in every game From Software has made ever since the 90's.
I’m gonna agree with another person that commented, I’d love to see Jack play this again but use/play around with the other builds. He really loves this game and it makes it so great to watch😁
Fully agree, but perhaps at a later time, after a few months have passed
@@fernando47180 No, immediately.
@@nayuki-rn What needs to happen immediately is Elden Ring, and once that's done, I feel like a break from Souls games might be needed, since Jack's channel is of the variety type
@@fernando47180 Oh Yeah, that would be cool. For the record I was mostly joking lol
@@nayuki-rn ah, fair, haha
I honestly love listening to someone being passionate about something.
This series scratches that itch quite nicely.
On Micolash: You can actually glitch him out outside his room by standing far enough far away and just pegging him with poison knives.
On Ariana: She's the daughter of the Vileblood Queen.
ON THE BOWBLADE: the bowblade is *so* much fun if you have the right build for it. it's actually perfect for farming winter lanterns because you can attack from a distance and limit how much frenzy they'll give you!!
AND ON FRENZY: FUN FACT. IF YOU GET FRENZY AND ARE HIDDEN/SAFE. STOP MOVING. Moving will keep your frenzy meter going up! Not moving and waiting will actually let it go down. Also, low insight will give you better frenzy resistance!
hehe.... pegging..
im mentally 10 years old
On Micolash if you get him to go into the big room and go above it and shoot him you can go to where the closed gate is and he'll walk towards it and you can just kill him but watch out for the auger of ebriatis cus that'll still hit you
God seeing Jack just rip and tear through every boss that I painfully struggled with is so freaking impressive. Also the tips are legit helpful man, it finally got me back into playing again
8:03 “I always find that that music sounds like Star Wars.” Well what a coincidence, that boss reminds me of General Grievous!
It makes me gleeful to see such a popular creator have this game be one of his most passionate.
Ludwig's no doubt the best because of his design, both aesthetically and soundwise. He's a grotesque creature with both Blood and Eyes, therefore being the "perfect, idealized" hunter, at least from an in-universe perspective. Plus, his music... DEAR GOD HIS MUSIC!
It starts out seeming like all the other eldritch abominations you fought prior, an atonal drone of dread, but then he regains his sanity, whereupon the music does adopt a tone, it becomes more epic and orchestral as befitting a noble warrior, and this reflects in his suddenly fighting like a man rather than a beast, using his sword, firing off arcane moonbeams in an AoE attack. One youtuber I watched mentioned that Ludwig is a reference to Ludwig von Beethoven and his Moonlight Sonata, which makes sense as Moon imagery (with its connotations of ocean tides and madness) prevails in this game.
Well no the ocean stuff is based off of lovecraftian themes. It could be an overlap but im sure that wasn't inspired by beethoven
