  • 👂🔊 Get ready for a deep dive into the world of hearing aids that's bound to get your ears perked up. 🎧🌟
We're the ones who get a buzz out of hearing aids - yep, you heard that right! Not everyone shares our enthusiasm, but we're hearing aid nerds, and proud of it. 🤓 These little devices are our jam, and today, we're shining a spotlight on three incredible contenders. So, let's dive in!
First off, we're vibing with the Oticon device. These Danish wizards are working their magic to bring you top-tier hearing solutions. 🇩🇰 One of their latest gems, the Oticon Real, caught our attention. I mean, who doesn't love a name like "Real"? The best part? It lives up to the name. The sound quality is smooth as butter, delivering a natural vibe that's like music to your ears.
Now, let's talk tech. Ever felt that the artificial vibe from some hearing aids was a bit jarring? The Real tackles that with finesse, offering a seamlessly smooth and round sound profile. Think of it as your audio bestie, embracing your senses with a comfortable, familiar touch.
Oh, and the AI magic? Yep, they've got that covered too. Their deep neural network zaps away pesky background noise, letting your voice take the center stage. 🎙️ It's like your personal sound editor, and we're here for it.
Mic placement, you ask? Unique and thoughtful. With side entrances for sound, these devices consider your ear's anatomy, your hair, and even your glasses to offer a tailored experience. It's all about you and your audio journey.
But wait, there's more! Chargers that look like little spaceships - say hello to the Oticon charger. While it's not exactly our favorite design, it does the job and charges those rechargeable batteries like a champ. Easy, breezy, and foolproof.
Remember the old days of overcharging anxiety? Those days are gone! Just pop your device into the charger, and it's smart enough to keep things in check. No more battery stress, just peace of mind and fully charged devices when you're ready to roll.
And here's the icing on the cake. These devices are solid, built to perfection. And with a scratch-resistant microphone placement, those pesky scratches when you touch the device are history. Less noise, more clarity - that's what we like!
So there you have it, folks. Oticon is hitting all the right notes with the Real. And as we wrap up, a quick reminder - when it comes to hearing aids, one size doesn't fit all. Each of these gems, Oticon, and the others we're about to explore, have their unique charms that cater to different needs.
Stay tuned for more auditory adventures, as we delve deeper into this symphony of hearing tech! 🎶👂

Just got a pair of these hearing aids. I have moderate to severe hearing loss. After wearing them for twelve hours per day for the first week I could not believe the difference in my daily hearing. They are expensive but like everything in life you get what you pay for. I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone needing hearing devices.

My hearing loss is 71% severe to moderate (78 dB and 80 dB)....Now I'm using Oticon hearing aid with 12 channels but it's difficult to understand the conversations since loss percentage is high.....Will the hearing aid you mentioned suit for me?

I am not an audiologist so I cannot answer your question. I suggest that your speak to an audiologist who recommends Oticon. hearing devices.

I have an Oticon, have had it for four years now. One problem I have is when people are behind me and some way back I can hear them over the conversation of other people just sitting opposite me! Is it possible, using the app to effectively change the direction of my sound received? I have an iPhone. Is it possible if I lay it on the counter and pointed towards the person in front of me that I can minimise the sound coming in from behind and prioritise the sound from the person(s) in front?

I started wearing hearing aids in my 20s.. I ignore the warnings in my earlier teens , and ended developing tinnitus in my 20s.. imagine taking college courses online at home, and hearing nothing but a ringing noise. eventually I got use to it... I need to wear my hearing aids more.. .

I have watched dozens of videos about hearing aids. I learn about technology, looks, chargers, the wire, placement of microphone, on and on. What I want to learn is how closely the sound I hear approaches that of normal hearing. Isn’t that the whole point?

Great question! A hearing aid will never restore perfect hearing -- technology is no match for our original equipment -- but they can come close. There is a test called "real ear measurements" that allows us to verify that the hearing aids are restoring as close to normal hearing as possible. This type of test is often part of an initial hearing aid fitting or part of follow up care. Hope that helps!

If one has profound hearing loss, is this a hearing aid you would recommend or is there one you would prefer.

Dear Doctors: Please help me out. I live in Los Angeles area, and today I got a quote from a local audiologist for the Oticon Real 3 mRITE/mBTE for $4800 a pair. Upon returning home and did some online search for the price, I found the price is about $3200 a pair. I understand that the price depends on various factors, but could the "various factors" make a $1600 difference?
Am I being scammed? Could iot be the online quote does not include something that the $4800 do? In other words, is it normal for a quote from an audiologist to be higher than any price online? Thank you for your time.

      @hearingandbalancedoctors3275  Před 6 měsíci +1

Thanks for the question! I do not believe you are being scammed. Online prices often do not include service (the fitting, follow up care, counseling, etc). The service associated with a hearing aid varies from clinic to clinic but can often be anywhere from $1000-$2500. Bottom line: the price is probably fair

@@hearingandbalancedoctors3275 Thank you, Doctor. As you know it is really difficult for us patients to gauge these prices especially on equipment like hearing aid devices. However, based on your advice, now I feel better and relieved.

$6K/pair at a local hearing business yesterday. My hearing is normal at low frequencies then goes over a cliff to a profound loss between 1500-1800.
