    An interesting detail about her power is that she almost had a food fullbring. The food that her father made her was pretty much the only thing she had an actual attachment to, but before the “attachment” could fully manifest, her father died and the meals stopped. When she managed to escape, one of the first things she found was a meal ingredient which she ate, but it was sour and rotten, completely halting whatever “attachment progress” she had.

    Considering how Aura only relies on her base abilities to manipulate matter, the potential for other Fullbringers are almost limitless. If they organized like the Quincies did and had some system of institutional knowledge regarding techniques and powers, the Fullbringers would be a menace. Considering Ginjo's grudge against the Soul Society, Ginjo and the Fullbringers could have been recruited into the Wandenreich. As hosts of fragments of the Reio, Yhwach should have been interested in them.

      I always felt that Quincies and Fullbringers should have more of a connection than they seem to.
      Whether it's adversarial, cooperative, or even a friendly rivalry. Their powers are just similar enough to make them comparable, while still being different enough to make an interesting contrast.
      In my head canon, I'd have them filling a role similar to Quincies, essentially protecting the Human World from the dangers of the Spiritual. They'd be technically allied, but definitely not friendly.

    • @Alacaelum
      @Alacaelum Před měsícem +11

      The capacity to quite literally insert himself in the past of.. well, anything, and alter reality as he sees fit... yeah... his ability gives me shivers.
      I do think it has limitations pertaining energy cost and activation conditions, i doubt i doesnt have any, but Tsukishima clearly knows how to use his ability well.

    • @lesliekilgore648
      @lesliekilgore648 Před měsícem

      as an anime-only all i have to say on Tsukishima's Fullbring was... human memory doesn't work that way. at. all. he isn't inserting himself for real, for real, into a person's past... just their memories of that past. he isn't a time traveler, going into Orihime's past and REPLACING her brother... becoming part of Ichigo's Human Team alongside everybody else... he is just falsifying a few memories.
      well. where would he put himself? everywhere? daily school life of Ichigo's friends? did he make Orihime's meals? did Tsukishima replace ALL her memories of her brother with himself? how about their parents? how did he change their conversations around Orihime and her brother taking her and running away from their parents to save her and himself from their abuse and neglect? why would Orihime have developed her spiritual power if not for her brother's death? how would Tsukishima change that fact?
      if Tsukishima DIDN'T do all that? change ALL her memories? it wouldn't work the way Studio Pierrot MADE his Fullbring work. then you have to add in all the GIANT GAPING PLOT-HOLES Tsukishima created by inserting himself, a 'normal human' into Ichigo's Human Team, fighting alongside them, going to the Soul Socity to rescue Rukia, going to Hueco Mundo to rescue Orihime, all those plot-holes would have to be filled 'somehow'.
      no one human brain and mind, Fullbringers ARE just mutated human beings! no matter the woo-woo spiritual supernatural stuffs... could absorb and change PERFECTLY a whole OTHER human being's memories. human memory just does NOT WORK THAT WAY.
      then, the story has Tsukishima do this to ALL of Ichigo's friends AND family? even a former Squad Captain Soul Reaper and the head of a Shiba Clan branch family Ichigo's father?
      if how Studio Pierrot's portrayal of Tsukishima's Fullbring is manga correct? Kubo-sensei SERIOUSLY pulled that one outta his rear-end and his editors at Shonen Jump should have stopped him and had him change it. because as i watched those episodes in English on CartoonNetwork all those years and years ago when they were first broadcast in the US? i totally called bull-crap on that whole idea of his Fullbring and how it supposedly worked.

    • @BasedlordYama
      @BasedlordYama Před měsícem +2

      @lesliekilgore648 Tsukishima's fullbring isn't just falsifying memories, it's full reality warping. He wasn't just putting himself in your memories, he is fully recreating your past, and his fullbring will also bestow him with the knowledge and ability to fulfill the role he inserted himself into. When he became byakuya's master, his fullbring gave him all the knowledge of byakuya's abilities because, well, tuskishima taught him everything he knows, and he can just speak this into existence on the fly. It's a pretty stupid ability.

    I think by attachment, they usually mean a connection between an object and the attachment to the world around you. Ichigo's badge relates to his pride and joy of his role and friends.
    Im guessing for Aura's sake, while she could develop a mental attachment to items, theres not a substantial connection to the world through them since she was completely sheltered

      Even if the scale was impressive... she was just enhancing the already existing properties of the "matter" in question, she didnt give any other special effect to any of her attack.
      A fire attack was just that... a fire attack no matter the scale or form it took.
      It still impressive as fuck... but the Fulllbring true potential is the capacity of affecting "something" at their core and using it as a medium to do much more, if she could do that using just the basic ability of fullbring... just imagining what she could do with a conceptual ability is scary.

    Personally, I love Aura. Her character comes from a place of trauma (like several other characters in the series), but in a completely different way than we are used to seeing. Also, to say that Fullbringers have been "criminally" underutilized and underappreciated is an understatement. From the use of their powers to the use of each of their characters, Fullbringers really have only received the bare minimum amount of love in the series. Thankfully, Aura's presents changes that.

    • @Alacaelum
      @Alacaelum Před měsícem +3

      And their concept as a whole is SO COOL.
      They are the first "completely" human faction of this world, sure... Chad and Orihime are fullbringers, but even them didnt get much on spotlight front after a certain point, and there was a lot of abilities that we discovered with the Fullbringers reveal that we never seen them using.
      The idea that the can reinforce their bodies by manipulating the "soul" of anything around them or using it to allow superhuman movement was so cool.
      I think that Kubo was REALLy burntout during that time, not like we already hadnt seen the sign in earlier arcs, but... you could see that he wanted to make new things but simply couldnt muster the strenght to develop them after a certain point.
      The Fullbringer arc actually has a very good story, the twist in the half way point got me by surprise and it got better, but... it came maybe a little too soon, we should have seen more of them in action, maybe hunting Hollows or something else.
      See how the normal world interacts with these people that have special powers.

    I have a fun theory based on your video (didn't read the novel so I might be wrong): Fullbring is born from a hollow attack and harnessed through attachment. But in Auren's case it seems she was sheltered to protect her from people that wanted her for her power. Assuming the basement was empty and that she knew she was being protected because of her power, could it be that she grew attached to her powers itself? This could in theory create a feedback loop or kind of a "power^2" depending on how attachment and fullbring powers relate to eachother. But it could be a combination of the part of the soul king she has + the fact that she grew attached to her power (and, given her personality, what she could do with them) that she managed to become so absurd in her abilities.
    And parallell to this, if "attachment" is the key concept here and she is attached to nothing, could this create the inverse and that her power manifests (in part) from others attachment to her? Kind of like a god that's only as powerful as the anount of worship they get. Given her cult of personality, it would lend more credence to her being this powerful if Xcution has 700.000 people thanks to her.
    This is all just speculation and/or headcanon based on this video, please don't take anything as fact!!

    It is pretty well implied in the books that basically anything no matter how slight could become what a fullbringer attaches to. Aura speculates that because her only comfort in life for years was her father's cooking she likely would have attached to food as her fullbring had he not disappeared when he did. Even then, it may still have been her attachment had the first thing she ate upon getting free not been rotten.

    So sad to see that, just because she has no killing intent, Orihime gets forgotten as the Fullbringer with the most broken ability and the potential to be one of the strongest beings in Bleach if she was trained properly. Never forget that her ability is to REJECT EVENTS. If she's strong enough, her Santen kesshun means your attack literally doesn't exist. If she's strong enough, her Koten Zanshun means whatever it hits are ostensibly erased. Since Ywach is the one who provides the qunices their Schrift and is the son of the soul king and the full bringer powers almost similar to Schrift and come from the soul king, I feel like it not a stretch. • @mastertucker
    @mastertucker Před měsícem +2

    With the unoriginality of the 'control and shapeshift everything' I felt too when I read it, though loving the concept, I went and did an OC with the opposite mindset, as in what if you leaned into the item attachment and usage aspect of Fullbringers instead with the Soul King's Saketsu's vessel.
    What I came up with was a huge homage to Kamen Rider.
    While the character's normal fullbring was something basic, a wrist charm or pendant to turn into a bladed weapon, I then picked on the idea that Fullbringers can have multiple Fullbrings. I went a bit wacky and imagined what if a person could reach out and reveal/grab their own Soul Chain, and if it is the Soul King's Chain of Fate could it in of itself be Full-...Brought? into an item itself - the Rider belt or Driver. The idea would be it's ability would be to don the user a suit in conjunction with the bladed weapon (if anyone is a Rider fan, think Saber's belt) to form a base powered form like Ichigo in his Soul Reaper body or what have you.
    Lastly, there's the fact that Fullbringers can share powers with one another. I went the next step up - what if specifically the vessel of Reio's Saketsu could even use other people's prized possessions as a secondary Fullbring - but limited to creating items that could be placed in the belt to power up the suit with others' abilities. Namely the character would gain friends of the other types of characters to form their main cast (Shinigami, Quincy, and an Arrancar) to which they'd gain an item from to turn into the objects that go into the belt that could replicate or more accurately, represent, the powers of the characters in a fashion mimicking the other races, ending in an all three powered on Fullbringer final form.
    As for the objects themselves, I picked snow globes (no real reason than it's a random collectable around my house lol). So I imagine a Fullbringer with a bladed weapon, who then grabs out at an invisible chain, Fullbringing it into a chained belt that the sword fits in. "Henshin!" We have a Bleach Rider. Their trusted friend tosses them their treasured possession when needed - boom, it morphs into a snow globe with a unique inside in it, to fit into the belt for an upgrade form. Call em Soul Globes.
    My wanting to share that idea aside - All that to say Fullbringers have a lot of potential and as amazingly cool as Aura and her situation as a well written story was, yeah they kinda took the less original route there - not that my idea is oh so super special awesome just that it's interesting that they went out of their way to pick the 'can do anything' option instead of really digging into the specific abilities of Fullbringers. Though with Aura's less original deal, the Fullbringers being criminally left alone in the TYBW arc, and the fact that even with Ichigo his Fullbring got like relegated to just a sliver of leftover power attached to his Shinigami powers that don't do anything, Fullbringers really got shafted in general throughout the whole story. They don't even feel like an equal 4th race like they should they feel like an afterthought or a mistake rather than a natural being like say the Quincy, who are also a biological anomaly of humans but still treated way more like one of the main core races of Bleach. And Aura feels like another step on that route, as if no one really knows what to do with Fullbringers as the 4th core race.
    Her story was amazing though, agree big success. I can't wait for the Tokinada video too.

    I love love LOVE Aura. She’s an example of how Bleach can have genuinely interesting, in depth, and beautiful female characters without just making them a joke or eye candy. The fact that Hikone, despite her not physically birthing them, was still her child she created is also another wonderful metaphor for chosen family and adopted family. And then we continue it after she passes where she ends up in Hueco Mundo with yet again, two of my favorite characters in the series. Both of the former Espada’s are loving, caring, and protective women who look out for each other and those they’ve chosen to protect. Their aspects of death are sacrifice and lamentation as well, which is also perfect reflection of what Aura embodied in her last moments while saving her child. She sacrificed herself for Hikone and had to lament on everything she did in her sacrifice. It was a beautiful ending to her old life and a hopeful beginning to her new one. It makes me hope that one day we get more from her character. Even if it is just a brief update.

    It's actually not that hard to condition someone to not form an attachment to anything. Say one day her dad wants to teach her to read. He brings a book and then when he's done teaching her, he takes the book. The next day he decides to see how much she retained but instead of bringing the book he brings her a piece of paper and pencil to see how much she can write out. Then when he's done he takes those items. The next day he comes back but with a different book. And so on. So she could never really form an attachment to a certain object because the same object was never around her for long enough. Not only that but conditioned her to never form attachments because it was going to be gone soon anyway.

    it should be said, even if she did have some objects in the basement, those objects would have to be there long enough to develop that attachment or have something else like some memory that makes her grow attached. Added to that theres also her becoming apathetic and "empty" through her time locked up, so she might not even have the emotional capacity, at least at point in time to grow attachments as she would likely just go through the motions.

It is the reason she is able to leave, and afterwards, it is the main connection she has to her family and her past, and since her growing connection to food was halted, could an attachment to her own Fullbring have formed without her realizing?

    Not only the whole pluses can become Hollows thing so Chains of Fate existed back then, but considering the all of Bleach's souls sort of teeter on that part of the body it makes sense. I mean you either have the chain, the saketsu pressure point, or you're a Hollow, there is no inbetween as these three aren't three equally neutral from each other states. So it wouldn't even make sense for him not to have it just because he's a deity. Not having it means Hollow, not having the chain just means a pressure point. I mean if you didn't have that you'd just have a blank space - like the saketsu already is - but not a pressure point there.
    Really it doesn't make logical sense to assume he'd have to not have one just because he's a deity. If anything the soul's power coming from that point it'd make Reio lesser for not having one rather than mysterious and godlike.

    I'd like to think every 'race' has a super power.
    Hollows consume and evolve. Much like zerg they regen, have the largest numbers, and focus on their own bodies.
    Quincy's are like alchemist. They convert things to their own power. Hence why when they kill it's removed from the cycle. Because they changed the person they hit. Remember the Hueco Mundo arc. Arrows vibrate and turn what they cut to energy to use.
    Soul Reapers wear their power. They are similar to the in-between of Hollow and Quincy. Where they can cast spells, grow they're bodies, and have powers in objects. This is why Quincy's can take their power and they can hollowfy.
    Full Bringers aren't souls or really manipulate or change souls. They are more like plea to the souls of objects. Think of a paladin receiving blessings. Where it's the world you are up against, not the person.
