Thing I find funny is a felon can’t own a .22 but the blunderbuss is perfectly fine lol
being a felon and having a buncho of blackpowder guns is such a vibe tbh like a pirate
What a fun project. I know some kits aren't as "fitted" as that one is. Glad it wasn't too much extra work!
Yeah it wasn’t too bad! It wasn’t the first time I put it together, but had to make sure that it was video ready!
Just picked up this exact kit for S's & G's. This video helped my decision to purchase. Cheers!
Awesome to hear! Hope it treats you well!
Pretty cool
That belled muzzle makes loading powder and shot a snap compared to other muzzleloaders
Exactly why the navy in the 1600's developed it. Easy loading on roaring seas
I would make pre measured paper cartridges with everything u need wrapped up in paper so u can either just toss it in or dump it in real quick in the field. Or u could have teach part inits own lil paper pouch to dump in pre measured amounts
Love this content.❤
Thank you friend!
Great project! Can’t wait to see the final product at some point :)
I had no idea you could put these together yourself, how cool! Really love the idea of staining the wood
Looks fun that’s my next gun
Love it!
I'm looking forward to seeing how you brown (or blue?) the barrel.
Will have to stay tuned! Lots of different directions I could go!
Lot of it on yt. Go check it out. Cold blueing is the easiest.
And NB’s? Fuck yeah! Instant sub
Welcome aboard!
Fun little thing. I'd bet it would be even better in flintlock version (for that pirate feeling). Lol
I did think of that! Would be fun!
How long did it take to put together the blunderbuss from start to finish?
Around 45 minutes. But I put it together before the recording of this video. It’ll take about an hour and a half to 2 hours right out of the box. You’ll need to shave some random pieces of the wood to make everything fit snug.
@@SaintAndrewTV thank you so much man! You're awesome! 😎👍
@@SaltineCracker006 no problem, friend! Glad I could help!
Niiiiice Andrew! Showing some love to the blunderbussy I love that, my dad had one of these when I growin up, very nostalgic. Awesome video as always brother
Nice blunderbussy there i wonder if it can mow down a whole line of infantry?
I doubt it haha!
0:21 no, the title did that...
I wish they made a nitro fire blunderbuss
I think that might be alright on a camping trip where hunting isn’t exactly the main idea
“A blunderbuss?, Is this a joke what year is this 1850😡”- John Marston
I remember that cutscene to this day!
Ohh ye of such little faith.
Go to Mexico
@@alexs5744you’ve been hanging around cattle and killers too long!
@@Flyingchicken717 You got the compassion of a mass murderer and the intellect of a cow patty.
Love this!!! That’s such a cool and interesting piece, we want to start providing accessories for this type of gun at our trading post but it just isn’t a popular enough of a gun :/ such a bummer because the blunderbuss is so cool
im thinking of making one completely from scretch. just not sure how to approach the barrel
All very good. Might I inquire (generally) where in Arizona -- as I am often in the Tucson area?
I’m currently in the Phoenix area! But moving to a more rural setting soon!
I have the same one!!! They ended up sending me a trigger and hammer that won’t catch on, so I’m struggling with testing to figure out how to fix that, got any recommendations? Awesome video though brother, a joy as always
Please please please dress up like a zombie Cowboy when you shoot this! Undead nightmare irl!😂😂
Deal!
The targets should be turkey silhouettes for Thanksgiving.
That’s a good idea!
Yikes!😵 When you dropped the hammer on the weapon, I felt a disturbance in the force... A bit of old gunsmith advice.. Never dryfire a percussion firearm. Bad juju.😡
That said, I'll be watching for continued progress on the weapon.
Have fun in the big wide open spaces in the desert.
Your old amigo from Texas,
Wade
I wasn’t aware! Thank for that information! No need for any bad luck on the old timey zombie killer! And I am looking forward to letting this thing rip! Thanks for stopping by, Wade! Stay cool!
@@SaintAndrewTV Not a problem. An accidental dry fire is not too bad. However, a few more can batter the cone of the nipple to become damaged. It's how we learn right?😁
Oh, don't forget to sing Happy birthday to Doc Holliday! Born August 14, 1851. 🎂🍻😁
@@anangryranger well I appreciate the knowledge! I’m new to percussion weapons, so any advice is good advice! And I knew that August was a wild month for birthdays. Doc, brother, and grandmother! Everyone ages in August!
How much do these cost?
Hey I have that same Annie Oakley Action figure! Unopened of course.
And oddly enough, bought it way before i was a gun owner too.
Where did you get yours?
@SaintAndrewTV I worked at a Salvation Army back in 2013 in Central valley California. Saw her and paid $2.
@@spookymulder945 got me beat! I got mine at the Garst Museum down in Greenville, Ohio where they have that Annie Oakley exhibit! I paid $10.99!
Smooth or rifle barrel?
Smooth bore!
@@SaintAndrewTV thanks
Saw a few adds for it but it never said. With what it is I thought smooth but with it being 54 was not sure
Do you have a link where you bought yours?

@SaintAndrewTV thank you sir I do appreciate it?
Totally should do the Kentucky rifle their really no good videos on how to do it
I do want a black powder rifle! Maybe I’ll invest in that next and film!
@@SaintAndrewTV I look forward to it if you do ,since you already have the blunderbuss you should do a video on how to clean it after watching your video I had to go shoot mine and realized I don’t know a good way to clean it lol
I wish it was a 75 caliber…
Now stick random trash in the barrel and shoot it
Sticks and rocks!
All muzzleloaders are not labeled as a firearm thats how i was able to still deer hunt years sgo sfter u had got myself into trouble but that was long ago
