    • @PIBRACINGCHANNEL

      With a Jack-stand but when I took the head end everything of it is lighter and you can let it rest on the mount but preferably the jack-stand.

  • @BEERSnGEARS
    @BEERSnGEARS Před rokem +1

    06:01 how did you the that off. I couldn't tell what you called it, but it's like the lower half of the block, or an upper oil pan. Mine won't come off, I don't think it's just the silicone holding it. I got the oil filter nut off, dipstick tube out, bell housing bolts off for that piece, I got a block of wood and broke loose the side by the timing chain, but it's not coming off. I'm working on it in the car still with the transmission still attached. Like you did

    • @PIBRACINGCHANNEL
      @PIBRACINGCHANNEL  Před 2 lety +1

      You have to detached from the silicone, that it is a pain, and then you have to wiggle it around and in the transmission side it is a pin that is not doing to let you take the pan out. The only way is to get a grinder and cut it. As soon as you cut it the pan will fall down. Then I installed without the pin. If not you will have to take the engine out.

      Check for compression to see if it has a bent valve. If that is the case you have to take the head to de Machinshoop. Anyway I wold take the head to the Machinshoop for cleaning and inspection.

    hey man i got a p0014 code, camshaft bank one. do you think it could be just the cam solenoid

    • @PIBRACINGCHANNEL
      @PIBRACINGCHANNEL  Před rokem +1

      Most of the time is problems with oil starvation so the solenoid is clogged or something. If your oil change is over do, change the oil first with the correct viscosity oil and tested. If the problem persist you will have to take the valve cover of the engine to check if it has sludge acumulación and if you do you will have tried to clean as much as you can including the solenoid. If none of that works then change the solenoid.
