I AM HERE FOR MY DODGE RAM TRUCK FAMILY!!!!
I LOVE EVERYTHING!!!! ATOTALLY AWSOME BUILD!!! THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I LEARNED A LOT!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
nice work it came out great!
Thanks!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
You're welcome!
Great job.
I hope you don't mind a fellow old dodge guy throwing out a comment about these dash boards.
These metal dashes fit right into an 85 dodge also .
I figured multiple years would be interchangeable....I want something nobody has
Great work! I am trying to do the same for a 2004 Ford F150 Heritage Old Style. I am doing all electric Autometer tach, speedo, water temp, fuel, voltmeter, oil pressure. Also, regarding the gauge mounting bevel , I think I will cover with black vinyl rather that paint.
Great video looks sweet please show the calibration of the speedo
Thanks! I plan to...
Very nice work! Where did you get the high beam, parking brake and turn signal lamps?
I thought I linked to them...guess not...I got them from Amazon
@@MoonBuiltGarage Could you link them if you don't mind?
I have a 2005 chevy tahoe , I was wanting to install a custom auto gauges
Do you take on any jobs? I need help making a custom Instrument cluster for a b700 1993 ford bluebird school bus. Awesome video!
Not really...I hate wiring....I do electronics in my "real job", and I only do it when necessary. It's not really that difficult, just take it one wire at a time, and plan it out ahead of time
What gages did you use for replacement? I need to upgrade/replace my 1993 W 150
I went with all Autometer gauges
What type of wiring connectors are those? Do you have a link to them?
I used weatherpack connectors. I usually find most of the connectors I use at theelectricaldepot.com
Is it possible to make one of the dashes like the whole housing for the cluster from scratch ? I’ve been looking for one and their all like 400 dollars 😢
I would think so...but that's well above my skill level
Probably too late to ask, but if the old dash is in decent shape would you consider selling it... I have an '80 D200 I'm fixing up, somewhat sentimental to me and I can't find one anywhere :(
My old dash parts are pretty rough. I did a video where I repaired the gauge enclosure (the plastic piece that covers all the gauges and mates up to the glovebox) and the glove box. My original gauges don't seem to work that great, and some of the clear plastic face-covers are pretty rough...that was why I decided to just redo the entire thing. I do still have everything, but I'm hanging on to them just incase....that and I'm kinda a hoarder when it comes to original parts for my vehicles
any chance you would do another blank dash insert for sale?
Not really since each would have to be custom fit to the enclosure to ensure proper fit, but its really not that hard
78 ramcharger - same dash so was hoping you had a pattern
What did you do with the Speedometer cable ????????
Removed it since I'm using an electronic speed-o...the 46rh uses a sensor like this: www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=2415544&cc=1097175&pt=10634&jsn=905&_nck=ZExt1ysfqhqWnq%2BEvUNdS3Txyey60IDtnjPWF5UU9J0BWQv7pvqZbh%2BYrdIIoJ2QMq9prrkIerbFMqky5nGcn4teOg9r2Sw3%2BPr1CNOXFqQFzxO1xi2naIVVDqptp38yXkE5m0eM5QCA%2By15xTcreiyKbrkDUxw8lE4179Lt3ZG9FpQ%2BdspnPWI8ptrLkN74Y61q3cM1G6skuK0Vq52FSE8Kyvzr8KA4wfOb1xvAwuqueeNgKPoIS5%2Bao4tprdoKHe14C9D9YIJ7qMJ2p15pirV2RGw5FPxEDg6r%2FloVVSSiuXlnbf8TPHyy7mJX%2FSIr
Maybe lay some textured leather or vinyl over
That was my original plan that lead to the rebuild....but that roll-on texture I used turned out a lot better than I thought it would
Could you share the dimensions of the cluster? mine is totally broken
Couldn't if I wanted to. I ended up building an entire new dash. But...get some cardboard and start laying it out...
