As of Nov, 2020: Chick-fil-A had an average order accuracy of 94 percent, making it the restaurant chain with the most accurate drive-thru service according to Statista

Every step you take that’s different from the original circle changes the radius of all future things you do even if you accidentally start walking in a circle again. • @powerforu94
      @powerforu94 Před 3 lety +5

      It's the same tip for every demon. Understand what they are and "just do it more often".
      Yeah, yeah I know, but it's easier said than done.
      Know that you will not want to do it, that you will resist, that it will be hard, that you will procrastinate, find excuses and run away. Especially if you're lead Oe like me and bad with planning and schedules.
      Schedule in time to do them every day/week/whatever. Start small. Consistency is key.
      More specifically:
      Examples for Blast last: Make posts, comments, youtube videos, do a presentation, put yourself out there in some way. Share some info on what you're competent on or have an opinion on. Focus on making one single point, especially if PCSB or CPSB so you don't end up rambling on and not saying anything.
      Play last: Schedule people time. Spend 1hr each day speaking with somebody. Go for a walk, do some sports, expend energy. Do something for somebody else (especially if you're also savior Di).
      PS: in typical blast over sleep fashion, I do not follow what I preach :) . But it's still the right advice.

Sometimes obligating yourself to a task that requires you to be more like your dual really helps. Also, specifically if you are demon De, I've found that having other people counting on you to pull through and get it done really helps give you the motivation to not chicken out and drop the ball or give up like you might otherwise, because you will be afraid of disappointing them.

You DON'T know everything. You ARE on to something amazing, and I hope you continue this research and developing your THEORIES. But jeeze, keep your opinions out of your science!!! It destroys your credibility. Be human, of course. However, there is a STRONG difference in 1. expressing your feelings and views (which everyone should do) and 2. tearing down others with your callous words and narrow minded opinions. Not to mention, they have no empirical data to back up their claims. I know they’ve typed plenty of people. Why not include some of that data to help explain these claims? Double deciding Fe savior here, and here's my take. *Get the order right!* 😡 That's priority number 1! It's the most basic thing at a fast food restaurant. If you get it right, then you prevent a lot of awkward or difficult interactions for your customers _and they will be satisfied!_ That's what they came there for in the first place, their specific order of food! What Dave & Shan are calling Fe in this case, is lacking substance. (It might be Fe, but it's not getting the job done, for them at least.) Appropriate Fe for the situation would be to properly accommodate the customers. The shared value of your establishment is impacted much more greatly by good service than by a seemingly pleasant catchphrase. Having to say the same thing over and over might take the Fe out of the interaction too. It involves no situational emotional awareness. You're kinda just a lemming at that point, falling in line and doing what all the other lemmings do. That being said, getting the order wrong is the fault of the particular workers in your restaurant and may not have much to do with upper management who develop company policies.
    About that company policy... They don't get your info wrong because they have to say a specific thing. If it's required, then it would quickly become automatic for the employees and wouldn't be something they had to consciously think about. And thus it wouldn't take up mental space.

    • @cyberneticbutterfly8506
      @cyberneticbutterfly8506 Před 3 lety +1

      I agree, I think all functions have a shallow version of themselves.
      In your case here it's like an Fe user valueing people's feelings, but not actually properly inferring what is the right move to make people feel better.
      Similarly a Ti user valueing to use logic but never having learned it will do lots of bad logic all the time.
      *OBSESSIVELY* from another types viewpoint.
      Actually good Ti would be to both value being logical and actually fucking being logical, which takes knowledge cause there just isn't any replacement for knowlege in thinking.

But fortunately I was able to get in contact with a career counselor and they are still working with me to help me figure things out. I now have a clearer understanding of what jobs I would like to pursue that would not completely cripple my Fi. It’s also good to have someone with you to help keep you on track.
      As for Te specifically, as a feeler if you go overboard with it and do only what the world wants you to do, you will only hate it even more. You got to first set up some goals for yourself and then prioritize those goals, which will involve both Fi & Te. Fi so that you are working towards something you care about, Te so that you can measure the progress. And again, having someone there to keep you on track will help with the Te part. I hope this helps, take care.

I've complained so many times, and they will stand there socializing with me, trying to be friendly for hours. But I don't want them to "make me feel better". I want them to physically fix the problem so it stops happening over and over and over again. It's a shame for the pies to break and crumble whenever I have to pick them up for clients. I've tried using different bags, boxes, carriers, etc. But with Corona, accessibility is non-existent... And it isn't my responsibility. If I owned a bakery, then I'd make sure that I physically had pie trays, boxes, cutters/knives, etc. It doesn't make any sense to me.

      S = concrete ; N = abstract
      You can tell the difference by how they talk. An S will speak by telling stories and facts ("this happened and she said and he did"). An N will tend to omit stories and details and rather talk through generalizations and using abstract words and metaphors ("things been like this and the meaning is that").

    A version of an INFJ here.
    Thanks for the observations.
    Here are some different perspectives and some probing questions.
    Could it be possible that behind the scenes is an owner/manager/cook that can probably be narcissistic-sociopath-psychopathic, and this owner/manager/cook has been and is threatening the employees?
    Is it possible that the employees who don’t behave subservient and submission are abused?
    Were the Fe employees hired because of their tendencies to behave like this?
    Are those who are working in the front with the public reacting as described because they were traumatized by the abuse given out by narcissistic-sociopaths-psychopaths behind the scene at the restaurant, and prior in their lives?
    And or are they abused by narcissistic-sociopathic-psychopathic customers?
    These are just some thoughts.

      Hey reader warning: A long text is imminent but I believe it'll be an interesting read. If you're not that interested in psychology then just ignore my response, its okay.
      My interpretation (so outside of OPS system also):
      T and F are functions that judge relationships between information. Applying F on a pen and drawing will make you associate things, its an abstraction method. T however looks at the most concrete properties that can be observed and match it to principles. It is a generalisation method. Neither one can produce any information whatsoever. Those are other brain functions. F can very well be about effectiveness. T can very well be about well-being. But T is never about values and always about how things connect. F is never about how things are related to each other, but how they're valuable to other relations.
      Fe is focused on values of others, whether they're justifiable or not. It doesn't look at how it fits in a larger picture. It keeps adapting to persist high value. Te looks at the reasons things or people move for. Te tries to connect everything so value can be persisted by action of self or motivating others. They aren't the values themselves, but the justification of values. They're quantifiable observable principles. Fi is all about the values of the self. What justifies you doing anything at all. Something motivates you to help others, whether it is selfish or not. They don't have to fit a specific context. They're the high values Fe users look for. They're intense experiences or patterns associated to intense experiences. Ti looks for consistency. Ti doesn't care where information comes from and whether it fits a bigger picture. It does care that the individual components that make up a principle are consistent.
      None of these functions can produce new information other than telling if anything relevant for your attention/cognitive processing. If none of the functions call out relevant information, the subconscious will try to pattern match the sensory with long term storage memory in our brain.
      As you can read in the narrative of the description above, Ne and Ni are non-existent. That's because Ne and Ni is the aforementioned process of negotiation between judging functions, and memory. You do have an Se, which are your senses. But any reasoning in the mind, or the conclusions of that processing is by default Si. That's because S represents concrete information that is observable in some fashion. Se represent the senses, because they interpret the world around us. We need our memory to make sense of the sensory. If you don't know what a tree is, you won't recognise one when you see one. There's Se as a process which focusses on justifying conclusions using observable .. anything. Si is the memory from within, which is both our active memory, as well as long term storage.
      This story tells you that we NEED all functions just to be a normal functioning human being. It tells you that some conclusions are completely out of reach for people, because they don't have the wisdom to tackle the problems they're dealing with. As if you're letting a baby-sized robot drive a car. But hey, you don't see the robot driving so you'll just assume its a ghost/driverless car. If the possibility that a robot could automate anything crosses your mind during that time however, that unlikely conclusion is still plausible to make. Due to wisdom gaps like these, which are normal since we can't know everything, they're irresponsibly applying cognitive functions without control and understanding whether it is applicable or not. They'll justify it by saying its their personality, rather than tackling their real demons; bad habbits reinforce a physical body that in turn reinforces bad habbits. First cleanse your body and make it stable. Then you truly relax and let go. Then you tackle your habbits until its gets too intense. Then you repeat the steps.
      If you have read this, I'm curious to what you think of it. Sorry I couldn't make it easier to digest. The material is still a bit fuzzy in my mind. Please do leave a message. If you found this message insightful, please leave a like. I'm just curious to how many people would respond to this.

    @heatherbryant4197 Před 3 lety

    I've no experience with Chil-Fil-A, but I have experience in the restaurant industry, and I can tell you there are multiple points at which your order can get fucked up:
    1. Customer (we had to call them "guests"): believe it or not, sometimes people forget to tell you details of their order, like substitutions, and then insist they did later.
    2. Person taking the order: Did they ask all the necessary clarifying questions? Did they repeat the order back? Is their handwriting atrocious chickenscratch? Did they quote an inaccurate wait time? Did they quote the wrong prices?
    3. Person entering the order: Do they know how to use the computer system? Do they know how to enter special requests so that the kitchen makes it properly? (Often there is a language barrier, and certain English phrases, like "substitute x in place of y" are confusing to non-native speakers)
    4. Technology: Is the computer system working properly? Is it intuitively designed? Is there an option to press to tell the kitchen to wait until you explain what to do before they start making it? Does your key card work? Is the printer in the kitchen low on ink? If there's an app for your restaurant, is it glitchy?
    5. Kitchen staff reading & making the order. Can they decipher what you meant? Do they have all the ingredients needed, and if not, do they decide what to do on their own or ask you?
    6. Person giving/delivering your order: Do they double check the order slip? Do they do a visual inspection first? Do they remember last minute extras the kitchen doesn't prepare like sauces? Do they check the order/table # to make sure you're not getting someone else's order? If it's to-go picked up in person, do they go over the order with you before you leave? (I always ensured they knew everything I put the bag & how to differentiate items. This also ensured I got a good tip)
    Managers: Do they intentionally understaff to save money on labor costs, causing overworked staff who make more mistakes? The store who meets corporate budget is often the one with the shittiest service. Did they train their employees properly? Are they available to supervise and talk to guests? Or do they disappear into the back office or outside to have a cigarette? Do they chew you out for giving away too much complimentary stuff?
    It's like a game of telephone. If anything gets miscommunicated at any step along the way, your order can get messed up. This is less likely if the person taking your order, entering it, making it, and delivering it are all the same person, but that's rarely the case.
    And yeah, they force you to say stupid scripted phrases that some marketing PR genius at Corporate determined was the best thing to say according to some focus group. But we have to say it to everyone. We got "secret shoppers" twice a month, so you never knew when you were being graded, and you'd get reamed for forgetting to say one thing to one person one time.
