Absolutely hilarious. Despite already knowing most of the stories, it's always a joy to listen to Harry (re)telling them. Massive love and respect for Harry Redknapp. I've listened to the same clip on repeat for quite a few times now. Every time it puts a smile on my face. It made my day!

As a Forest fan, Harry was the reason I gained a soft spot for Tottenham. What an absolute legend.
I used to rent a place in the white block of flats, practically in the carpark of Bournemouth's stadium.
Harry, with his Bournemouth connection used to bring most his teams that way for summer friendlies. Before Bournemouth were prem. You think they're a small team now, they were tiny back then. He was spurs at that time.
Anyways......When most the crowd had left the stadium I went out to the local shop (nightmare going anywhere before and after matchtime.) Driving there was pretty much one way in, one out, and saw Harry stopping his car to talk to a couple of 14ish year old lads. Didn't realise it was Harry till the window was wound down.
He didn't just stop and sign, he saw their Tottenham shirts, asked where they were from (London based spurs fans) and started to tell them the nearest train station. Where is best to get off from the stop. If you get on at pokesdown station it may not give them a direct train. Etc. I was shocked how much time he gave these kids. He obviously got this every day of his life at that time.
I'm an Arsenal fan. That lives in Bournemouth. This guy has managed every team I'm supposed to hate. Apart from Bournemouth.
I never forget that though. And I don't think he's a great manager. Not for nowadays.
A good guy is a good guy though. It's important to tell these silly stories. He deserves respect and he's genuinely the reason I try not to get too over the top when I'm thinking about rival mangers/players.
Football is more than a game, but it isn't an excuse to be a prick.

Harry's biggest joke was when he shafted Portsmouth for Saints and promptly shafted Saints for Portsmouth. That is of course if you're a Saints fan like me

I have a story about HK . In his 3rd season at Spurs , they were linked with 3 or 4 top stars on deadline day , Harry is driving in with his range rover , reporters stop and ask him which of them he expects will be done , he said " i don't know how many , but i one of them is a top , top player " everyone thought that player to be Mendes or Moutinho , in fact the top , top player was the veteran CH from Blackburn , Nielsen .
Was that Harry's fault? Tottenham truly needed some good transfers cause they were title contenders that season. Summer they got Brad Friedel for free, paid 5 million to West Ham for Scott Parker and got that Emmanuel Adebayor loan from Manchester City. All three terrific players but cost almost nothing. Then January window came and Daniel Levy gave Harry two more players... Louis Saha and Ryan Nelsen. I get it, Levy probably wanted to wait to the Summer cause Eden Hazard deal was almost done. End of the season Tottenham was 4th but 'cause Chelsea won UCL it meant Tottenham lost their Champions League spot to the reigning European champions. Eden Hazard said later that he waited outcome of UCL final before signing Spurs contract... Well... He ended up to the Chelsea too like Champions League football...😮 Tottenham was so close back then to become huge club. That season Premier League managers voted the club they loved most to watch and 75% voted Tottenham's playing style most appealing for the eye. 25% that didn't vote Tottenham? Probably London based club managers....
