    Here’s an idea Microsoft, just remove Recall full stop, because no Windows user wants it or has asked for it. Thanks for this Britec, I’m still on Windows 10 for now, but it’s good to know that there is software to disable Recall. Would it disable Copilot on Windows 10?…..

      Hi, I agree with you. The Recall feature should not be in our computers. It is a security risk and too big an invasion of privacy. And certainly, I also don't think that many users will use the Recall feature in Windows 11 take care and have a nice day.

    • @powerpc6037
      @powerpc6037 Před 2 měsíci +6

      Also most people have a laptop with only 500GB of SSD space. Having a "feature" installed which consumes/reserves 50GB of that precious space just to have an automatic search function with a database and thousands of screenshots behind it is just insane. And most of us will probably never (or very rarely) use it. How can you justify an unwanted search function to consume 50GB of storage? If people want it, they can still go to the Microsoft store and download it themselves. Why force it on every pc on the planet?

      True, they do like their bundled applications. But this has gotten exponentially worse since they introduced "Automatic Updates" in Win2000. They've slowly crept from providing Service Packs and use AU for security fixes to using Windows Update as a code injection mechanism to distribute everything from paid Apps to Advertising. Clearly an abuse of the original intent and of their users.

    I love how all these billion dollar companies keep shooting themselves in the feet. Microsoft, Adobe, Disney, Apple.... How do you have all this money and gifted employees, and yet you still make decisions like your 10 years old... Then there's us, the consumer. We still buy and use these products which support these bad, anti-consumer companies. The capitalist system is so screwed. Better than most, and definitely the best out there, but still screwed....

    • @Lord_Funk

      Yup, that seems to be the trend for corporations these days. Ruin their own brands and any IP they bought to incorporate into their brand. Disney with Star Wars, Paramount with Star Trek, BBC with Dr Who, Adobe with their programs, Apple with their anti-consumer and anti-repair practices, Microsoft now with windows and outlook/hotmail (well ever since win 8 really), google starting to do it with CZcams over the last few years. EA with I don't know how many game studios they ruined so far etc. The list could go on. They are so far detached from what their customers really want that they just don't get it anymore. Totally tone def. They rather impress some investors or share holders on meetings, or media, with the latest fancy fashion terms, like now it's AI, than satisfying their actual paying customers and what we want.

Then you can go into Windows Update manually and decide which update you want to install and which you don't want on your system. Setting your connection to "metered" makes Windows believe you actually pay for every megabyte downloaded and Windows won't download anything without permission this way. I believe you can do it using NTLite, but since it's an ISO customizer, you will need to reinstall the Windows. It'll take about an hour of work, but it's worth it.

    I am sticking to Linux. Windows apparently needs many tweaks and 3rd party installations to be what Linux is out the box. I am not ready for that kind of learning curve. I want my OS to be set it and forget it like Linux.

    Hi Bri I have a strange but annoying issue. I believe it's a motherboard issue but not sure how or if it can be sorted out. I have a Rog Strix B360I Gaming with the latest bios it works just fine with the intel I5 8400 but I have tried two different I7 8700 (non K) chips and both of them thermal throttle with minimal stress even just opening a web browser I currently have a Thermalright BA120 which should be more than enough to cool this chip. I tried out one of the I7 8700's in another board an old Asus H310 and it works just fine even stressed it with CPUID no throttling and barely reached the mid 80's. Core 01 always hits the 100c in the Rog Strix board on both 8700 chips really baffled by this any ideas on what the cause of this is and how to fix it will be greatly appreciated. I know you're going to say use the B310 but that will not fit in my case and I have another project in mind for that.

    Time to make a custom installer to make sure that Recall isn't in the OS at all!

  • @PPNStudio
    @PPNStudio Před 2 měsíci

    I seriously don't even want the code in the OS at all. It's too easy for it to be silently enabled during a MS Update. I
    MS needs to just offer it as an app via their MS Windows Store then only the people that want it can get and install it.

      Making lives easier? This guy is nothing but a fear monger constantly repeating the same information which is often outdated. But why stay current when you can get more views before you have to make a video stating that changes for the better have been made. Even then he blames others for spewing hysteria which he himself has done repeatedly for years. It's sad that people are so clueless that this guy can make a living off these garbage videos. This channel is nothing but a production mill of fear to get more viewing minutes. It's sad really.
