Flat screens , and Gameboys and many other items came down in price , because they were an item that people wanted , they were not essential to life as we know it . But that EV battery on the other hand is something that you will need to make your daily commutes , unless you intend to walk to work or the grocery store , and they know that , and that they now have you bent over a barrel . If you think that they won't stick it to you on the price of a replacement battery , just you wait and see .

We knew from the beginning in 2020 that the EV push would fail. I'm still driving a 1996 JEEP Cherokee with 389k on the 4.0L engine. And I own it outright rather than taking on a $50,000 electric car.

I do not own an EV. I believe the rush to force EVs on us is wrong. Someday the problems with EVs will be solved, but that will not happen in my life time, I'm 74. Same way, I operate a farm and all my equipment is diesel, not electric. I could never afford to transition to electric. So when you use corn oil, corn flakes, tofu, soy sauce, or plastic bags (made from soy) diesel made it possible. Thanks for your support!

Not even then, our entire electrical grid has to be revamped and supported by nuclear or coal.
We haven't even started doing that yet and the green climate Nazi's are against coal and nuclear plants. 90% of cobalt and lithium is mined by China in the Congo with child labor. Then what do you do with those huge batteries when they're spent? We're nowhere close to going electric.
Nahhhh, EV's are fun toys. And useful for short trips and short pleasure trips. Everyone that can afford 4+ cars should own one! But they are not practical at all for regular people!

We had power outages for about a week last year, how would we charge an EV when the power grid isn’t always reliable. Also, Solar panels require power from the power grid to work
