    Been going over the video a number of times, and your explaining really has helped a lot. I like the video right around the 17 minute mark where your shooting the 3 ball explaining the thick and thin part using the 1 tip at med speed and fast speed I get it!!

    Jason Shaw's shot was a trick shot. His cue is touching two contact points on his bridge hand before he moves it, so he can return his cue to the exact location without looking.

      @Poolology101  Před rokem

      Yes, but that's a very difficult trick shot that is far more likely to miss the pocket than hit the pocket, regardless who's shooting it.
      Anyway, Shaw has more than just two contact points being used. He has his body placement and the position of his feet. The entire body alignment is set for the shot. He then raises his cue (extending his stroking arm out) and turns his head, then he brings the cue exactly back in line with his body and drills the shot.
      Two contact points on his bridge hand isn't enough to ensure proper alignment. His back hand and stroke arm have to go exactly back to where they were before he held the cue out in order to pocket the ball.

    You know the most important thing for me to remember when doing your drills is to FOLLOW THROUGH so all this english can happen if I don’t follow through the English won’t grip the road.

    Brian what kind of cue do you use again? I was just wondering how come you don’t use a carbon fiber cue. There must not be a big difference in the Deflection between your stick and the carbon fiber stick. I tried the Predator cue and in thought the shaft was to skinny and did not like the sound of it. I know I ask You for the details of your stick before but give it to me again. Your friend stephen

      I play with a Mezz cue, which has a low deflection shaft. I've tried a few carbon shafts and didn't find a whole lot of difference between them and my Mezz shaft.

    Around the 8 minute mark when your aiming for the 3/8 mark is your tip aiming med, or low on the cue ball? Thank you

    • @Poolology101
      @Poolology101  Před 10 měsíci

      Aiming about a tip of low left on the cb, and my cue is aligned for the 3/8 aim point (#5 aim).

    I have a great aiming system for inside if you would be willing to show me how to use outside better I promise you that you have never saw this before

    • @Poolology101
      @Poolology101  Před rokem

      It's really a matter of just knowing your cue and practicing english shots with it. I mean, the inside method/system you use may not work as well with a cue that has more/less shaft deflection. Same goes with using outside english. There just isn't a one-size-fits-all for every player.

    Brian how do we use the diamonds on the table to figure out if the shot is a 1/4 ball short or a 3/4 ball shot, or whatever the case might be? Does your ebook or whatever it’s called have this information, or do we need to buy the hard copy book? I use the old cue stick behind the object ball. I was just wondering if your ebook has this information in it. Ebook might be the wrong name for what I’m talking about, I just what something fast because I’m real lazy and like cutting corners!. If the ebook does not have this information I will buy the hard copy thanks steve

    • @Poolology101
      @Poolology101  Před 4 měsíci

      The ebook contains everything that the hard copy contains. It shows how to use the diamonds to come up with a fractional aim line.
      Here's an example to try: Place a ball anywhere between the footspot and the middle diamond on the end rail, anywhere along the line from the spot to the foot rail (except on the spot itself).
      Next, position the cb at least a foot away from the ob and line it up to shoot the ob straight toward the 1st diamond from the corner pocket (same foot end of the table). You can use the 1st diamond on the end rail or the side rail, results are the same.
      Now, with your cb-ob centerline leading straight to this 1st diamond, simply aim for a halfball hit and you'll pocket the ball.
      Here's the coolest part... It doesn't matter where the ob is placed along this line from the spot to the end rail (except on the spot itself). If the ob is anywhere on that line and you align the cb-ob centerline toward either 1st diamond from the pocket, it will be a halfball shot to pocket the ball.
      The book and ebook explains it all... The ob is sitting on a line 2 diamonds from the corner pocket. Let's give this line a value of "20". Now, the cb-ob centerline is pointing to the 1st diamond from the pocket. We'll give this diamond a value of 10. Since 10 is HALF of 20, it's a HALFBALL shot. Put the ob anywhere on "20" line, and if the cb-ob centerline is pointed to the 1st diamond away from the pocket, it's a halfball shot.
