What's sad about the December to Dismember match was that Heyman actually WANTED Punk to win the match and the title because he knew Punk was the rising star and was quickly becoming the new face of ECW. However, Vince was highly against the idea and opted for Lashley to keep the title. If you look closely after Lashley won the match, you can see Heyman facepalming

To this day his elimination in the 2014 rumble is still sad to watch, 50 mins in the match just to be gently pulled out by Kane.

the rivalry between punk and hardy was one of my favorites of all time. both wrestlers were extremely talented, had a crowd reaction every time they came to the ring, and had a great career.
I initially didn't like Punk for how he would constantly retain his title against John Cena using underhanded tactics and always cheating to win. However, after looking back at the PipeBomb, and his old ECW days, my perception of him changed. Back when he was in ECW, I liked everything about Punk, from his attire to entrance theme. He soon became one of my favourite wrestlers ever after his match with Brock Lesnar, which is my favourite match ever. CM Punk is a legend, and is also an inspiration to me, and is the reason why I watch AEW weekly. CM Punk who the first person who made me believe that I can be "The Best In The World".
He was my Favorite in WWE he was the one who introduced the Shield to the world and his Championship run was awesome, he's still my favorite to date

The ref asked punk, while he was lying on the ground, if he's okay and they also told him that kane could take him out of the match but he didn't want that and wanted to continue. Kane still took him out without punk knowing that it was gonna happen and that's what got him angry and why walked out.

I think it made sense for Cena and Rock to headline wm28 but didn't need to have another rematch. The Rock could have won the rumble and challenged CM Punk to a match a mania while Cena fights the Undertaker.

The thing about Punk's heel turn on The Rock, that entire full heel turn could've been easily avoided. They should've just placed him in the same position back in 2011 where he blurred the lines of face and heel. That way he can keep his white hot run and still have his reasons to feud with The Rock (stars getting undeserved opportunities). It was pretty obvious they just wanted to squash his run. WM29 should've been a triple threat match between Punk v Cena v Rock. That way they can one up WM28 and not just do a repeat and devalue the "once in a lifetime" match promo. They just really had it against Punk.

I don't understand why people keep saying that Punk was underrated in the WWE. His career there was full of championships every single year. Yes, some of his championships reigns finished in odd ways but it doesn't change the fact that he was always part of the show.

Looking back at the 2014 RR, it's interesting to see all the wrestlers still going today, and how many split between WWE and AEW.
It’s funny because I remember him specifically for ECW and I missed his peak. I quit WWE from 2008 to 2018 due to Cena being shoved down our throats.
