The whole High n Dry album kicks ass from start to finish
That's right...
It really is a masterpiece!
@@chrispaneesh5475 that's because Steve wrote EVERY SONG.
Yes! Their best stuff
I agree SuperBoomshack, and I think it might be my favorite Def Leppard album, just barely beating out Hysteria.
Imagine a def leppard where Steve lives, Pete stays in the band, Rick keeps his arm and every album gets harder and heavier! ❤❤❤😍😍😍😈😈😈🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yeah, a huge what if! The band was still big, but would rather they had stayed together....Pete and Steve were a great combo!
And no Mutt Lange drum machine crap on Pyromania.
Ahh my unrealized wish
That's a good thought lad. Thank you.
thad be cool, but nah i still have respect for pyromania and hysteria tho, it sounds so different yk, musical perfection, but I wish pyromania and hysteria's guitar work was a little more raw, but it just blows my mind to this day.
The best album they ever made. 🙂
AMEN or LIKEWISE! In my opinion, FORGET the rest, THIS, THIS, IS THEIR BEST!
@@AngelofAnguish I like the first three.
oh God yes
Sorry Their best album is Hysteria hands down! Seen that show in Indianapolis and my late fiancée loved me singing those songs in her ear before she passed away! Told her I will always love her. She’s been gone since 2004 and I still miss her terribly in 2024!
DEF LEPPARD
The best album they ever put out
Absolutely!but gotta admit that on through the night was damn good for a bunch of teenagers
High and Dry has to be one of the greatest rock albums ever produced.
Yup. Belongs in any vinyl collection.
the best they made, orig line up freaking awesome
I like On Through the Night better, but High and Dry is certainly an all time great.
Yes sir!
Nobodys fool
That nasty guitar is Willis they never could get that sound again
Pete Willis absolutely shreds on this album!!! Actually the entire band shreds on High-N-Dry...easily their best LP ever!!!
Killer Album. No Question
No hysteria was the best
@@johnlawsonsr1589 🤣
@@johnlawsonsr1589 There Their Sound changed. They found something We never Saw or Heard. X was entering into a New world and So were they, in the end Grunge and Whatever Ricky Martin was took over...... But they Kept punching and never went down!!! DEF LEPPARD IS the last of its Kind you wont see this again folks
@@johnlawsonsr1589 Its not close, this album blows Hysteria out of the water.
This is the kind of energy/power unleashed when you got a bunch of crazy teens rocking it out before they get over produced. Their first 2 albums were awesome.
3rd 1 was pretty good as well
@@salvatorerizzo8640 Nah . Thats why he said first 2,not first 3.
Pyromania was the beginning of the overproduced Def Leppard sound we are talking about.
@@Mars- That & Pete Willis fired!!
@@Mars- who's "we"? U got a mouse n ur pocket?
Old school Def Leppard is the BEST!!
One of the baddest rock songs ever made
The first two albums were their best.
DEF LEPPARD
Damn!!! Steve Clark really was the "Riff Master"! And Pete Willis's guitar solo was awesome, too.
well that's your opinion an tbh it stinks!!! they fired pete because he couldn't stay off the bottle!!! an they replaced him with phil collen who is twice the player pete was!!! pyromania was a great album an so was hysteria!! iv saw em live 3 times in 03/09 an 11 an they were brilliant!! they always put on a show!! just because a band evolve don't make them shit!!!
@@john3oy1984 nope hysteria and pyromania was total crap compared to their first 2 albums
They lost something after Pete, Pyromania was a really good album but it was probably just the last rockin songs they had in them after "the change." Their first two albums were magic, Pyromania did have some good songs on it, they as a hard rockin band died after that.
@@ibleedwhiskeyplanet1544 stagefright is pretty rockin
Yeah, stagefright is a great song, I love it. It was one of the songs that was both heavy and melodic, songs they ended up forgetting how to write.
See them in 81 touring with ozzy. Full band plus watching Randy Rhodes with ozzy was a part of history I'll never forget.
Lucky
You were so lucky man!!!...
Lucky!!!!
You experienced a precious moment in time my friend, kudos!
Pete Willis kicks ass! Man, what an underrated legend, on the guitar. Great riffs
Killer guitarist.
Pete's lead is similar to Angus's blues licks.. Saturday night on the run! 🎶🎸🎸
Hell yeah! 🔥👏🏻🔥

High and Dry is Def Leppard's, "Back in Black".

With a guitar solo that Angus Young would give a respectful nod to.
No, that would be Pyromania.
I know I'm old but High 'n' Dry is Def Leppard's best album.....prove me wrong
High 'N' Dry is the best
The MOST HARD Rockin' Leppard Album..
I'm still listening to high and dry 40 years later I've been rocking out to high and dry 4 four decades now CZcamsrs that's how good high and dry is people.

My fav album by far from them!

Southern rockers r listening 🎧 to Def Leppard, and that is what it is.rock on.make it happen 💪💪💪🥳🥳👿🤤🤘💪❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This album and every song in it is full of youth, piss and vinegar the way rock/metal is supposed to be. Can never get tired of this album.
DEF LEPPARD
'High n' Dry'... one of the best hard rock albums EVER!
Pete Willis was one lucky dude. Played in the band in their raw, early rocking days when he was young. Survived to tell about it. And now in the hall of fame. Who else can say that?
Yes, but he missed all that money they made. He's kind of like Pete Best. They had to sit back and watch their former friends get rich in their former band.
And still gets generous royalties from those albums, and also the new box set.
@@sydbarrett6762 Def Leppard Love The 1980's
He had plenty of writing credits on Pyromania and received copius royalties, kind of like John Sykes with Whitesnake's eponymous album.
My favorite Leppard album 🤘
Steamin Steve Clark and Pete Willis , awesome duo
They had a Certain Fill, Steve Clark was Melodic, Pete Willis had a More Straight Rock Approach..

Def Leppard Love The 80's
Man what a good song. It's only been stuck in my head for 35 years now. I think I've already commented on it already but so what. I just listened to it again and get an appreciation for it everytime I hear it. This is the best Def Leppard lineup right here. Steve, Pete, Joe, Sav and a 2 armed Rick Allen.
greatest album ever made. best line up this is DEF LEPPARD. no way it can ever be replaced ever!! :( leppards

Def Leppard is my favorite R&R band. Their sound influenced a decade and evolved classic rock, into a more modern, yet still kickass mega beast 😎
Southern rockers r listening 🎧🤕🎧 to Def Leppard ❤😂🎉😮😅😊, like British rock ❤❤❤😂🎉😅😮😊😊.
Great to be on the same bandwagon wheels! ❤😂
Back when Def Leppard was a real band!!
Their first 2 albums were their best in my opinion. This is when they really rocked. After these they got more commercial. And so did everyone else in order to satisfy the record companies and sell more albums. Don't get me wrong I love DL. But this when they really rocked. I was blown away when ON THROUGH THE NIGHT album ended up on my turntable as a teenage kid with a Japanese HONDO LP Copy in my hands. Still one of my all time favorite bands
dAM RIGHT! LIKE AN OUT OF CO NTROL Missile! Especially on Saturday NIGHT! H IGH AND DRY!

I'd say after Pyromania they went commercial. Those who lump them likely haven't heard their work before Hysteria
I fell in love with Lep when I 1st heard this song before it was popular in the US

The 2nd album I bought. Back In Black was #1. This album was so underrated here in the States.
Not in ct
Best Def Leppard album ever. And best Def Leppard time ever...
Dude, this is rocking. Imagine seeing this show? OMG what a gift to have had.
OMG, I really miss these days badly.
Steve was great. just like this song. I've been drinking all day. Boy, do I know this well
Absolutely was
I know a lot of people here think the band went downhill after Pete left, but I thought losing Clark was when they lost their edge.

The opening riff.......Steve Clark you are forever missed
Although I do agree with people when they say that the later Def Leppard material is "musically" superior... but this old stuff with Pete really captures the spirit of rock and roll. This is my all time fave Def Lep song.
Yep! It was Def Leppard's raw sound, and it was awesome. Pyromania and Hysteria had a lot of production tricks thrown in, that made it not sound like what you would hear while during a live show.
Mine, too. I can't quite master the whole solo on my Strat yet. But I freakin' love this song.
I heard Mutt in an interview say he had asked the boys if they wanted to make another High N Dry album, or more of a commercial type of album. Dang I wished they said another High N Dry album!
its Def Leppard doing an AC/DC song
Superior if you like over produced garbage....lol
My favorite album from them by far. Great hard drivin' rock start to finish.

High and Dry and Pyromania are the Def Leppard I know and love. I don’t care for Hysteria or anything after 1984. Great guys though!!!
if anyone can point the way to a time machine headed for the 80s i'd really appreciate it
Just Me I’m working in one right now. My plan is to go back to 1977 to California and start a rock band and be ready for the 80’s when Van Halen hits
The BEST! Def Lep never got better than this.
When Phil joined it got better
