Raising Pigs: Pasture vs Permanent Pen

Ever thought about raising pigs? Want to know how to raise them? In this video we talk about the advantages and disadvantages of raising pigs on pasture vs. a permanent pen.
A permanent pen provides the peace of mind that your pigs are secure and won't get out as long as you provide them with their basic needs. It does take time and they will do damage to the area you keep them in.
An electric fence system gives you the freedom to put them wherever you need an area cleared but does have an upfront cost. Also, an electric fence is a psychological barrier. So if they get spooked or their needs are not being met, you could be chasing pigs. And from experience, I will tell you that is not fun.
