- Things happen on the homestead that we can't possibly be prepared for. But somehow you get through it, and then you are prepared in case it happens again. This week we had a loose pig get into one of our chicken tractors and eat our laying flock. So, instead of putting chicken in the freezer, we put pork in the freezer! So, I have 99 problems, but a loose pig ain't one!
