Thanks for all the information. Very helpful!
Awesome benefits of humidifier, very informative video, thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much for your knowledge sharing !!!!!
I got my AC guy coming next week. I’m doing a steam humidifier, auto shut off switch for my drain, cleaning my coils, and putting the light for killing allergies or something.
My wife suffers from bad allergies, and I was told this was the best thing to do
Great
Great video
Great video!! Thanks!
you did a good job thanks
Good stuff, I have a smaller home, 2100 sq ft. I'm getting a steam humidifier. We have flu overload in this house over this last the winter!
My house is at 11% we have two in our home but aren’t connected. We just brought the house about 2 years ago. Time to get these systems going
Winters in Colorado are a killer. Getting one of these
Great video. Wish you were closer!
Great video.. but you should list the "CONS" as well..
I don’t believe there are any Cons
@@fireiceheatingandaircondit4363wouldn’t there be a risk of mold building up in ductwork, even more than usual with the normal A/C condensation and sweating?
Thank you for the informational video
Our pleasure!
Excellent Video. Please make more such videos where you compare different products and list pros/cons. Thank You.
Is a carrier 2 or 2.5 ton less efficient when it in the dehumidify mode?😊
Thank you for the presentation. Does any of these work with air-conditioning? In peak summer also, the AC can make it very dry. Thanks again.
No, and air conditioner works because it is removing moisture from the air. Adding more moisture adds more heat.
the humidifier can help feel my house warm on winter cuz feel cold no matter the heater is on is hard to the heat pump stops and the aux heat turn on to help
Excellent video
Thanks for watching
Great presentation! Thanks for sharing.
I have four (4) geothermal units and a Reme-Halo LED on each of them; my son has severe asthma and uses a nebulizer throughout the day. My nose bleeds sometimes due to dry air, would my home 5500 sq ft benefit from the steam whole home humidifier? I live in the Central U.S.
Yes, or one of the standard bypass humidifiers like the Aprilaire 600
I have an old home in Western PA with radiator heat, about 2,500sqft. What are my options?
Portable room humidifiers from Lowe’s or Home Depot
Do the other 2 types go through the ducts too, or do you have something that air doesn’t have to blow along with moisture?
All go through ducts to distribute through the house
Is the aprilaire 300 the best unit for a double wide with the air hander being in a room with a grill in the door for the return( being it has no return duct)?
Also would i just install it as a seperate sytem and not even tie it into the air hander?
Thanks
No
Good information, I have a small condo what kind of humidifier would I need? Live in Illinois
Aprilaire 600 if it will fit
I have baseboard heating and central AC live north NJ my house is 5000sq and bi level is it possible to have a steam one install
Should be possible
Do you worry about mold in the ducts? Calcium buildup from tap water?
No
Steam humidifier in a home with water softener causes salt and calcium buildup. Am also told humidity will sink to lower floors. So, a whole house (mine 3500 sq ft) humidifier should be installed in the attic. Our floor plan has limited space. With these considerations do you have a whole house humidifier recommendation? The last recommendation given to me was to wall mount in the closet and run a steam line to the heat pump air handler in the attic.
A bypass humidifier tied into your ductwork, maybe the Aprilaire 600
Hello. Can a whole home humidifier be installed in a home with radiator heating
It needs a forced air fan and ductwork to work
Which type would you need if you have radiators? Thanks
Doesn’t work with radiator heating, so a portable from a hardware store one is your option
@@fireiceheatingandaircondit4363 thank you. Is this the case even if we have ductwork for the Ac unit in place?
You can add a humidifier on that system, but a humidifier works much better on heated air rather than just circulated air
@@fireiceheatingandaircondit4363 thank you!
Our local heating and Air Company (Roanoke Va) quoted us $2500 for a whole home humidifier! WTF! Our house is less than 2000 sf!
Wow, a whole home dehumidifier would run that, but definitely not a humidifier. Time to find someone new.
I'm interested
If you live in the Columbus Ohio area, we’d be happy to help.
Is that price real? Today I checked with a company and they want me $2200~3000. My home is only 3000sf
That price is very real. Did they quote you the humidifier and something additional for it to come up that high?
I was just quoted $2800 for a Trans steam humidifier. A lot more than I expected. Everything online says $1000.
a steam humidifier will cost more than a $1000 with install. On average the Aprilaire 800 will cost $800 just for the humidifier. Then you usually run a 240vac circuit, plus you will need additional parts for installation. After that it just depends on the cost for labor. ($150/hr give or take).
Ron Howard
The Aprilaire 500 will work up to 3000sqft, not 1500.
Thank you for the correction
You are not saying at what percentage of humidity maximum that each humidifier can maintain for each size home which is the most important information needed to choose which unit is right for our application.
Too many variables to take into consideration on how well each individual house can hold humidity.
those kind you fill with water and mist comes out , will make a gas stove produce a red flame and make carbon dioxide
We recommend whole home humidifiers
