    Just that wiring nightmare sends my anxiety threw the roof lol and alone would stop me from such a swap, maybe i will just stroke the 4.0 and add a supercharger to hit v8 numbers haha

      I get that I've always had a knack for wiring but in this case it isn't too bad if you stick with the wj fuse box. I'll do a vid specific to that

      seems like stroking a 4.0 would be a nightmare

      @@DakotaJaegle It's cake for 4 grand you can buy the whole stroker engine or for 1200 you can buy the kit just Google it And a custom tune will cost about 500

    I like what you did with the overflow bottle, moving it and changing the style gives a bit more room for mods than what the factory junk has.
    I'm currently setting up and gathering parts for a 350 vortec swap on my WJ, going old school since I already have the engine and the current 4.0 in it failed just before Christmas.

      He'll yea man. I'm not an elite at I'm a big advocate of do what ya can with what ya have. If you have a 350 then that's the right engine. You will prolly have to set it further forward and down than I did for Dissy clearance but you also may have an easier time with exhaust on the 350

      @@breadboxracingand4x4 I'm actually switching to a 700R4 with manual 231 or 241 TC to get rid of the TCM, trying to backdate the drivetrain to a more reliable and manageable system as much as possible.

      @Breadbox Racing and 4x4 I'm not looking forward to doing mounts though, you made it look easy. Between the layout and the birds nest of wiring I'm wondering how mad the engineers were when they designed these Jeeps.

    • @breadboxracingand4x4
      @breadboxracingand4x4  Před rokem +1

      the video makes it look easy but in a way it is. the hard part is the measuring and positioning of the engine. you have to juggle alot of variables for that. once you have the engine sitting where you want it (i use wood blocks and wedges to put it where i want and hold it there. then the vehicle usually shows me what mounts are going to have to look like.

      I just downloaded vcm suite from their websight as started exploring the menus and finding where stuff was to be honest. There are some good guides for doing specific things like removing secondary O2 codes and EGR and stuff tho

      supposedly you can make it work. but because of choices we made a year and a half ago now i wont be able to use the jeeps dash. im currently working on adapting the chevy cluster into the jeep and making a 3d printed bessle

      You can make everything work like factory with very little work, just make sure that you don’t cut any of the stock harness, mainly just have to run power to the oem jeep fuse box in the engine bay and it will work as intended
