  • Will O'Callaghan was joined by two-time All-Star Anthony Nash on Tuesday's Off The Ball.
Fresh from witnessing Limerick a fifth All-Ireland title in six years, Anthony broke down the five key areas he believes separated the dominant Treaty men from Kilkenny in Sunday's decider.

They are an awesone. Awesome team,
    What a team they are.
Some bitter people cant handle it,
Thank god most of the country appreciates the mental toughness and skills and coolness of these players under pressure.
Never seen a team like this.
    Phenomenal Team
    Well done Limerick
You deserve your success with all the injuries that team have had in the past two years and you still find a way to win👏

Nice to see P.Casey moved into the middle more often given Nash's comments. His feet could open up more goals. Watching back the wind held the ball up on long ball.

Five valid points and well argued .I can't help thinking though that there was another key factor on Sunday which was barely mentioned anywhere. KK, I suspect, if they had it all over again would love to have won the toss and play against the wind first half like LK did.All that ferocious intensity would have been much better employed stopping LK from building up a big half time lead, given LK never looked like getting a goal, would we have seen such a purple patch from LK early on?.
Second half, KK could have hit long range points themselves but even if they tired a bit they could always lump it long to Cody and expect to get goals.
As a Limerick man, I'm very glad this scenario never got to play out, LK always find a way to win but it might well have been a lot closer.
Never forget the influence of Diarmuid Byrnes either, we almost take it for granted now that he keeps the score board ticking over day in day out no matter what the occasion. And of course the rain held off which I think did us no harm.

Split season is only fair for club players...For too long everything revolved around county squads only....huge gaps in between club games and county players not being allowed play with their clubs. Farcical system.

Kiely jumping up and down like a kid trying Ecstasy for first time. So you won an athletic competition because all your players are 6 inches taller than the opposition and handpass the ball around like Kerry in 70's garlic football. Get a grip! Oh yeah and then climb up the steps to Mister Moneybags! Limerick... the Bank of England County.

Ah cop on. Limerick have one fifth or maybe one sixth the hurling population of Cork and about one third that of Galway. Also remember Limerick had a four in a row Munster Final team in the Thirties, which also won a record five National Leagues in row and all that was long before the McManuses were even heard of in Limerick.
BTW what is your problem with tall players. Should all hurlers be under 6 foot tall? Big KK physically teams blew teams out of it for years and Tipp did so in the Sixties, but they are The Big Three and everything is grand. Anyway Sean Finn, Mike Casey, Cian Lynch, Darragh O'Donavan and Peter Casey are all under 6 feet and they can all more than hold their own

@@peadarocoileain902 nothing against Limerick. Delighted for them when they won the first one, and maybe second one. But really doing it 5 times in 6 years and all same pattern...teams can live with them and outhurl them in early part of matches but then towards the end of the matches they get steamrollered! Big players should get tired in an athletic comp but Limerick don't... they look fresh at the end. Hope we are not looking at something dodgy here!
These big hurls as well favour the strength training athletic types... Limerick scoring amazing scores from out the field with just flick of wrist... Hurley sizes must be looked at, not much skill if sweet spot size of a novel! Anyway, over to you David Walsh.....

And no offense to any of the other players and counties because we know how much players and families put into this unpaid sport that makes a lot of money.
Anyway, there is just something about this Limerick team that can switch to a higher gear when needed so let's hope God willingly gaago doesn't ruin one of the fastest and brilliant games ever.
