Besides all of his great projects, the thing I like is he shows how the project works first. Then he shows the way he builds it. The man is an artist as well as a very creative craftsman. One of the best woodworking channels on you tube.
Seriusly how does this guys brain work? How he see things that others don't???? I wish i knew this guys Chanel when i used to work on my dad furniture shop way back
Thank you for your social awarness that you post first how the jig works and what is good for...its a sign you care about people's time...considering also the high quality of your work ,i'll say japaneese?!
i have the same makita sabre saw as you, and i've always considered the sabre saw the most useless power tool i have-- to be deployed only when nothing else will work. you solved the problem with sabre saws by by making a blade guide that prevents bending/twisting during the cut, converting it into something like a scroll saw but with a wider blade and straighter cut. of course depth of cut is limited here, but this is a problem you solved with your other jig saw table by mounting the saw 90 degrees, which allows for unlimited depth of cut, (for example, to cut a hyperbolic cosign curve along the edge of a 2M board). excellent idea and execution
Very clever. I would just change one thing. To use transparent polycarbonate instead of aluminium for the material guide/sawblade protector. With that you get excellent view of the cutting point.
This is the third time I've watched this video. I think the jigsaw table is a great idea. A bonus is that the sawdust vibrates off the surface of the material for a clear view of the cut line. Also, could you please tell me what brand the clamps are that you used in this video? The ones that are offset with tigjtening knobs on the side.
Nice work JSK! I like it except for having the blade exposed at the top. You need to make a cover for the tip of that blade as it's an accident just waiting to happen IMO. 🤔🤔
If there were a couple of holes for bearings on the board on front and backside of the blade they could be used with a template . Of course one would need different holes for left and right side cuttings, unless the holes were instead grooves where bearing axles could move from left to right. For tight and sharp corners it wouldn't work either.
VGvG
Hello, first of all a really great channel with many suggestions which are very interesting also to rebuild mad what you build everything is fun to watch you I had a question what is that for a green Table saw looks interesting.
I consider you a role model for me in a simple and inexpensive way of thinking with great results, but this tool must be quick to remove and install instead of four nails. You can add a piece of wood over the saw’s entry path to be tight and then close it only with the small moving piece to benefit from the freedom of the saw with a battery
JSK koubou channel..japase or korean...terimakasih ..anda banyak menginspirasi..ilmu anda berguna buat semua orang di seluruh indonesia..khusus nya saya...mudah2an anda sehat selalu...dan bermanfaat bagi semua orang...salam dari saya ...your subcriber...from indonesia...you can translate my language ..
Blue thumb strait away. I will look at this tonight because I can not at work, but I can see that you have build «une dinguerie» or, «une dingze» in french slang.
Ahh! That's the interesting thing about this design . . . You can't see the points, because they're obscured. All other designs are so similar in the respect that the points are very visible indeed.
Just what I'm looking for! One question - is that alum extrusion arm strong enough to make the scroll-saw attachment, using a compression spring on top of the arm to keep the scroll blade straight?

There is Clickspring for metal, and JSK-koubou for wood. Truly inspiring...
wow, just wow. a treat to watch. The accuracy, the attention to detail, the simplicity. Amazing! 💯
The precision in all of your work is truely amazing. 👍
Genius ,everything this man does is truly amazing 👍
Couldn't agree with you more. I'm always amazed by what he does.
Usted sigue siendo mi héroe, maestro. Felicitaciones y un gran abrazo desde Perú

So clever! I love your patient and precise attention. You truly are a master at your craft 🙌🏼
absolutely perfect! ... as always ... 👍👌👌👌
Excellent work, dude!!!
Maestro extraordinaire!
I really like the idea of making the same thing but with a sawsall & use it for circle cutting also.

Nice work as always. We shared this video on our homemade tools forum this week 😎
good work! my inspiration.
Bravissimo come sempre 👍🏼✌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

It is a joy to see yout innovations. The plywood no problem but the aluminium profiles I'm finding hard to source.
Just what I was searching for: compact but precise.
Truly inspiring.
Simple, yet amazing 👏

Really great job! All your vids are very inspiring! What kind of connectors for the aluminum parts do you use? Didn't find them.

I thought I needed a cover for safety.
It wouldn't surprise me to see a tool company produce a similar version of this for the public. 👍
Thanks for sharing that!
Trabalho Fantanstico!

Brilliant !
excellent !!! 👏👏👏👏👍👍
Made beautifully👍

Nice, if I made one I would place the arm off to the side coz I'm always cutting long lengths 👍👍👍
This is just one idea.
I think it's a very good idea to devise ways to make it easier for yourself.

I am happy to be of service to you.
Excellent where do I get detail drawings?
Keep it up .
What is the drill bit used to drill the holes for the hinges?
Very impressive build.
They're called vix bits, or just self-centering bits. Pretty easy to find with a quick search :)
Very good 🙂

I have purchased various parts for prototyping, so I don't know the cost.
I think you can probably make one for $30.
You need cool tools to make cool tools more cool. Now, where do I start? ☺️
Blue thumb strait away. I will look at this tonight because I can not at work, but I can see that you have build «une dinguerie» or, «une dingze» in french slang.
Now I have saw… this is once again something amazingly brilliant
Where do you get all this hardware?
Good evening 🌙😃 Good and good 😆😆👍️
There is still room for improvement.
Lielisks meistars!
What brand of corner fastener do you use for the aluminium extrusions?
This is Misumi.
Please see my plan for details.

@@jisakukobo Oh I see, thanks! Seems like it is a nice feature some Makita jigsaws have.

At least, I have confirmed that it is stronger than a wooden arm.
