Nice playing ! Jack is a hit what a nice guy and world class musician. Nothing beats a vintage mandolin 🙏😘
Nearly 100 years old. That's insane!
they both sound lovely, but the 1925 sounds really sweet and bright to me.
Great episode. Jack is an amazing artist
Holly crap mando monday on Wednesday and two big guns. Thank you thank you thank you.!
But use a D18 on the next on please. I am a bluegrass purist. Hahahaha
Nice sounding L5's in ridiculously great shape. Hank would be proud Nick and Jack.
Can't overlook the irony of the biggest guy in the store playing the smallest instrument - and doing it very, very well!
Incredible instruments...outstanding players...Norman's Rare Guitars!
The 1925 fern is a tad Brighter. You would have to play those carved instruments for few weeks for them to open up. They’re all museum quality condition. Nice picking fellas
Beatiful guitar and mandoline they are my dream
Astonishing...I can not conjure words...wow!
Thank you, really enjoyed that. I love good Blue Grass and Country (not the crouch grabbing country, but traditional country). Can't imagine what the LLoyd Lohr is priced at. You ought to watch Rosa String Works when Jerry is building a Mandolin. Absolutely fascinating.
This was Great Here, WoW, Keep on Playin Man, Can;t Get Enough of this, I hated to hear it end, Cousin Figel
😎 Jen, Jack, Nick !!! Thanks ⚓️ NORM 🎸
Well done gentlemen!
Fantastic! I took up the mandolin a couple of months ago. Amazing instrument, powerful, expressive.
Cool old mandalins and guitar. Nice Hank music. Great job Thanks for Sharing.
That mandolin, sounds magical along side that guirar...you guys did an excellent job. Great playing and singing...was it the Hank or just the magic in those instruments?
This is the first time I’ve ever heard an L5 and F5 together. Lloyd Loar knew what he was doing; they’re a perfect match. String bands are missing a trick by not using the combination.
I wish I could've worked a deal to get this sweet early Fern, but didn't work out, thanks for trying for me Norm and Jack but I told a buddy of mine so he bought her! God Bless!
Great sound guys! BTW, was that Norm's ride in the background at the beginning of the video?
This was amazing epic instruments! I wanted them to cover a few more hank songs!!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏 Bravo
Those instruments belong in a museum.....
Made to be played
In an Steele vault, inside a temperature controlled safe. Only to be opened in 500 years. Or, it can be played. Tough decision.
Both are fantastic, the Fern if a true 25 would more than likely be a leftover Loar so carved the same, its a bit brighter but it does have an aluminum saddle and no Virzi! The Loar has a Virzi so it has more overtones to my ear but I love Virzi's and 2 of my Loar's have them.
The Loar doesn’t have a Virzi. It’s pre-Virzi, so it’s better!
Also, it’s a bone saddle on the Fern.
@@jackryansullivan6038 Thanks for correcting me, I don't know why but for some reason I thought that one had a Virzi-I di the Virzi's myself. Bone brightened up the Fern a bit, I'd love to hear it with the ebony. I had a 26ish Fern that was awesome as well, what # is the Fern and how much $ as I didn't see it on the website yet. Thank you, God Bless
How much is the 25 Fern? I couldn't find it on the Normans website?
Loar, hands down
HEY Y'ALL 🇨🇦✌️
Instruments like these are why people who just hate on Gibson really don't get it.
Yeeeee...haawwww !
👍✌🤣OUTSTANDING 👍 💯🎵🎶✅
Whats the name of the song?
Lemmo flicks the pickup selector, and it's always great flavors.
But Jack, here, changes mandolins, MID-SONG!
Interesting, man. Very interesting.
{]B^{D}
where is carlos guitarlos he would sound nice with these beauties. BRAZO.
👍✌❤😎
So Jack the list of stringed instruments you don't shorter than the ones you do?
I grew up in a small town with nothing better to do!
The Loar sounds better, but that could just be fresher strings.
The lloyd loar wins in my book
Saw the price tag in that acoustic and went …..
as far as I see,y'all are both country boys.
Play more strong that guitar please
Sounds like irish music
Lemos great but Jack should do gotd more versatile and a better sale's man, time for a change
Laying here looking at the ceiling
Someone lays a sheet across my chest
Something warm is flowing down my fingers
Pain is flowing all through my back
I try to move my arms and there's no feeling
And when I look I see there's nothing there
The face beside me stopped it totally bleeding
The girl I knew has such a distant stare
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
Then I looked straight at the attendant
His face is pale as it can be
He bends and whispers something softly
He says there's no chance for me
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
Life is flowing out my body
Pain is flowing out with my blood
The sheets are red and moist where I'm lying
God in Heaven, teach me how to die
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
I remember
We were flying along and hit something in the air
