  • For those who want a boat specifically designed for fishing, the 360°Angler sits comfortably between the bass boat and the kayak without compromising space, comfort, accessories, storage, stealth and the ability to get to those skinny/shallow waters the big boats can't. The Angler has gear tracks for rod mounts, comes with rod holders, has hull storage for rods and tackle boxes and much more.
    Length: 13'4"
    Width 48"
    Weight: 140 lbs (w/o seat & drive), 170 lbs (with seat & drive)
    CAPACITY: 500 lbs
    CONSTRUCTION: Rotomolded Polyethylene, anodized marine grade aluminium.
    ABOUT THE FLEX DRIVE
    Jackson Kayak has designed a patent-pending prop-driven pedal system which allows for hands-free forward and reverse propulsion for kayaks. Named the Flex Drive, it consists of a daggerboard-protected tri-prop propeller which, combined with unique articulation of the prop system, gives the Flex Drive increased performance over other drives and helps keep the system clear of obstacles and easy to clean. Jackson Kayak’s Flex Drive System can quickly adapt from deep to shallow water navigation without having to move the main pedal drive unit.
    The Flex Drive is easily deployed with the flip of a lever, has adjustable pitch prop blades and a 12:1 ratio. An interchangeable electric motor-driven head unit is in development as well for release at a later date.
    Come check us out at OKC Kayak (220 N Western Ave) or Tulsa kayak (411 S 1st St) to see this boat in person and try it out!

    How does it turn while pedaling in reverse? I demoed a Coosa FD and I was disappointed by the rudder control as well as its inability to turn when going backwards. The rudder control looks much nicer on this boat!

    I really do like this Blue Sky 360..........but it's not "the only small fishing craft this stable". The Twin Troller X-10 is every bit as stable, if not more so. Two 220 lb men can stand on the same side tray of the Twin Troller, and it will not capsize. I own a Twin Troller, and it really is everything they claim it to be, and then some. But as I said, I really do like the Blue Sky 360. If the Twin Troller didn't exist, I would jump all over the 360. Mr. Jackson did a great job on this craft.

    • @oklahomakayak6984
      @oklahomakayak6984  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the twin troller until now. I suppose I was speaking for the boats that we have in store! I will definitely check out the twin troller though. I think the boats are just in a different category more so; which goes to show that the bluesky is really stable if it's comparable to a 2-man boat!

    • @howabouthetruth2157
      @howabouthetruth2157 Před 5 lety +1

      That's ok, a lot of people still don't know about the Twin Troller X-10 ( or they simply refuse to believe what they see & hear in all those videos ) because it is manufactured, marketed & sold "factory direct only" through the parent company: "Freedom Electric Marine". The Twin Troller is now going on 11 years of being available. (I am NOT affiliated with the company, I am only an extremely satisfied owner. This boat ROCKS in so many ways. ) So "advertising", marketing and information is "slow to get out" due to 1 small company, that has a manufacturer in Indiana that can crank out as many Twin Trollers as needed to meet future demand. The fishing community simply has to catch on. Kayaks have tons of market backing & exposure due to RETAILERS all over the nation. It's a shame that many kayak owners or guys wanting a high-end kayak get so sore about the Twin Troller. Don't get me wrong, I really dig several of the kayaks that are NOT priced up above "$3,000"......like the Hobie's. The Blue Sky 360 is an exception of course, for obvious reasons. I just wish people would understand that when a man or a team invents a boat like no other, that is a true game changer, and flat-out better.......then that man or team has THE RIGHT to make those claims. But guys everywhere get all bent out of shape. It's childish. Check out all the real owner reviews on the Twin Troller website. Many bought high-end kayaks BEFORE they discovered the Twin Troller. And I'll give ya 1 guess what they wound up doing. I will be doing perhaps the best "3 part series" review about how I rig my Twin Troller within the next 10 days or so, on fellow Twin Troller & friend's youtube channel: "Lunker012". That is "Gerry". He bought a Hobie PA14 first too. We have arranged for him to post my videos on his channel soon. I "invented" the best "modification/accessory" for the Twin Troller to date.......and I doubt it will ever be topped. It's that good. It takes the already great Twin Troller and makes it far better. What is it? I can't spill the beans until "the big reveal" on my videos as mentioned. Most TT owners will want to make themselves one for their boat too. I will be including measurements & instructions on the "device". Every video & claim you see about the Twin Troller is 100% accurate & true. I've owned mine for nearly 2 years now. LOVE IT. And I've owned quite a few boats in the past including 2 different bass boats. You are a nice & honest guy. I respect that and just subbed your channel. Seriously, thank you for being kind & civil.......without "attacking" a Twin Troller owner like so many do. Tight Lines!!!

      @howabouthetruth2157 Před 5 lety

      UPDATE: I have the video series completed for my Twin Troller and my "killer invention" for it. But posting the videos is being delayed a couple weeks, until Gerry gets back in town to post it on his youtube channel: "Lunker012". So for anyone interested, keep your eye on his channel. It may take him yet another week to get settled in back home, and then post my video.

    No close up of the prop when doing a review. No close up of how the drop down prop works. No close up of how the rudder works either. How shallow can it pedal on the water before the prop hits the bottom. Will the prop get stuck when used in the grass? How well does it track? No close up shots of the prop or rudder and no under water footage. Never mentioned the price. I’ve heard it runs about $3500.00 is this true? .

    • @benharris9395
      @benharris9395 Před 4 lety

      This boat is great for salt or fresh water, if you use it on salt water just make sure to rinse off everything with fresh water when you are done to help prevent corrosion. The drive head is self contained and was made to use in salt water and not get salt water into the mechanism. Great question, let us know if you have any more.

    How about doing a video in saltwater in waves can it handle that

    • @oklahomakayak6984
      @oklahomakayak6984  Před 5 lety

      Unfortunately, there is no saltwater anywhere near us, or I would be chasing bull reds inshore or some other massive fish offshore. As far as handling waves, I think it would be ok, but not exceptional. It does sit kind of low so you might get some splash over when launching in surf. Once youre launched, I think it would be great out there if it were choppy because of how incredibly stable it is. As long as youre ok getting a little wet I think it would be fine. Like I said though, I cant get it in saltwater so i really cant give you a 100% for sure answer!

    • @oklahomakayak6984
      @oklahomakayak6984  Před 5 lety

      There's no specific child seat that I know of for the boat. However, it would be really easy to strap down a cooler (like an Orion or yeti) that has some padding on it for them! Also, the boat does go in reverse, just pedal backwards. That is one really nice thing about it, hands free reverse!

    My review:
    1) it's for one person.
    2) Can't take G/F or dog.
    3) Seat is too high.
    4) It doesn't look fast.
    5) Doesn't look suitable for rough water.
    6) If the pedal system breaks down there is no other way to get back to shore. It's also too heavy, requiring a trailer. And, the price?

    Outboard motor on back would make this thing fly. Dude who gave review is on crack it's a catamaran not a kayak. Other thing good about this catamaran is you can take each side off and throw it on the roof. Options are nice. And he must of never been on a real boat there very stable.
