The Eurovision Song Contest 2024 is just around the corner, and the countries' rehearsals on stage start on 27 April.
1st rehearsals (30 minutes)
Before the 1st rehearsal each country gets instructions on safety, the dressing room area is presented, and there will be an In-Ear Monitoring Rehearsal backstage.
After the 1st rehearsal each delegation goes to the Viewing Room to see the recording of the rehearsal. Here any changes on visuals, camera work, choreography, etc. will be discussed. After this, there will be a Makeup Consultation.

It seems like we are witnessing the rehearsals of an Olympic competition, where all the artists work hard with their staff of dancers and musicians to give their best, to give joy to their nation and offer a beautiful show to the European public! Well done and congratulations to everyone!!!

Surprised to your reaction to Poland - this is completely expected IMO, quite literal and I think pretty bad. They tried something over the top, but it just doesn't work and the song is weak. The only shock Poland can give here is qualifying for the final, but I don't think it will, it is a safe NQ along with Australia from this semi.
Also pretty surprised about the staging for Moldova - to me the outfit and staging is the most elevating from what we expected. I think they will again qualify against all odds. And to add Iceland to NQs. Portugal, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan will fight for two spots in the final.

Everybody who says that Poland won't qualify is so delusional. How can you be interested in Eurovision and don't know that Poland would have always qualified if the system had been like this year - the televote only except for 2021? Poland has Germany, UK, Ireland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Iceland voting in the semi where huge diaspora lives. Poland gets high points from these countires every year. It has never had so many "firends" in the semi. They would have even qualified in 2018 when he sang out of tune and the song was really weak and they didn't have so many "friends" then. Also, there were 18 songs in the semi, not 15. Luna is 100 % qualifier unlike Cyprus and Ireland. Bigger coutries with diaspora like Poland are much better at the televote and small ones like Cyprus and Malta struggle.

Ok - let's spell it out. The Ride didn't ok The Tower isn't that crap but it is between two surefire Qers Ukraine and Croatia - her vocals aren't great and she could be really shown up by Ukraine. It's an airy (if you like it) or wimpy (if you don't, like me) pop song and didn't Polish people want The Witcher instead? I don't think it's impossible The Tower won't get enough points - she doesn't have Gromie's fame or Tulia's uniqueness or ethnic quality even dispora has its limits although voting for basic trash like Solo means I could be wrong but Bayba was in a weak ass semi last year. It's a stacked front half of the semi not all of the songs will make it - if Ireland NQ instead I will not be a happy bunny.
@@EmoBearRights Most of Polish people abroad didn't even know about the preselections this year or any year. It's only eurovision fans bubble. Last year Polish people really wanted Jann and diaspora still voted for Blanka. And gromee wasn't well-known among the casual viewers. Besides, Blanka didn't just qualify, she was the third in her semi. Luna is going to have two backing vocalists behind the scene and pre-recorded backing vocals just like Blanka did. It is allowed since 2022. And it's going to sound good. Her staging is edgy so it will stand out. Cyprus, Ireland and even Portugal and Slovenia are much more likely not to qualify. Slovenia usually struggle with the televote even if the song is good like this year.
@@EmoBearRights Personally, I think that both Poland and Ireland will qualify and Cyprus won't.The song is generic, the stanging is very simple and she is first in the running order so she will be forgotten. NQ: Iceland, Moldova, Australia, Azerbaijan and Cyprus.
@@thefloatingmadness It would be uniquely unusual if six songs from the first half Qed but this semi is equally unusually very very front loaded so it's not impossible. However if Ireland and Poland Qed it could mean Serbia don't which would be sad. I think my priority for want is Ireland over Serbia over Poland but I agree there is a real possibility of a statistical upset and they could all Q especially with Iceland and Moldova being non events and Azerbaijan having a rare misfire with their staging.

I love Cyprus her vocals are good it may not sound good in the clips but when you focus on the vocals yourself it sounds pretty good and this is her first semi final and she has shown that she can sing while dancing, ramonda's staging is similar to the NF one with a better outfit it's good, Luktelk is ok NF staging again, Ireland not my cup of tea it staging looks cool and the staging fits the song, Ukraine great staging good voices great outfit not much to say other than that, Poland her vocals weren't as bad as i thought it would be the towers are nice wish she could look like her music video i prefer that outfit, Croatia NF with a different outfit not bad, Iceland MOTHER HERA!!!! she slays the vocals like always wish her back vocals were with her 'dancing' with her, Slovenia great outfit dancers are nice final move is cool! great vocals, Finland please NQ it's not my cup of tea and it embarrasses me to see a clip of it please i would prefer anything over this in the final hopefully croatia takes all of their possible points, Moldova better than the NF staging we get to see her and her only and the alignment with the LED screeen is really nice and her vocals omg, Azerbaijan looks kinda underwhelming for such a bland song not much movement theres a rock but feels like an NQ, Australia better than i thought the harmonies between the 2 electric fields members are nice zachariah's vocals are great as always, Portugal IOLANDA she killed the high note it's the NF staging with the hair down it's kinda underwhelming but i hope the vocals carry it, Luxembourg great stuff apparently its not the full outfit so I'm hopeful, her dancers are nice and her vocals were pretty decent.
