Thank you for making this video. This is the most comprehensive one on the entire CZcams. Dealer quoted me 1800, I watched your video for a couple times and replaced it myself in three days.
Why do they have to make this so difficult 10/10 will never want to do this again lol

Hey bro your video was great. It substantially saved me a lot of time And money not using a mechanic. I originally brought it to a mechanic who said he couldn’t do it because he could not evac R134yf and blah blah. So I figured that was nonsense and completed the job myself. And clearly the condenser and refrigerant does not have to be removed.
And guys, If this video saved you time and money, send your thanks with a few $$$.

Just used this video to replace the fan set on my Trailhawk 2015.. The desert sand here in Abu Dhabi got into the fan gears making them stuck. This job is a bit painful, but it can be done yourself. Thank you for this video.

Thanks so much for doing this. As if it's not difficult enough without worrying about the camera at the same time. I had some trouble getting the bolts out of the cross member for the under engine cover panel. I used a 3/8 impact and none of them broke but they were slow coming out so I was concerned. Never Seize going on them when I put them back in, good anytime you have a steel bolt going into aluminum (galvanic reaction and all that).

    1. Thank you for this video it gave me assurance it’s something I could do myself and was real helpful.
    2. I did this on our 2015 3.2L and it is indeed a pain in the a**. I did have to drop the front bumper because the plastic pieces on each side are different than what are on this 2014. Bumper goes back on pretty easily.
    3. I broke one of the bottom feet bracket things, luckily a dealer nearby had it. But beware.

Great video I had my my 2017 jeep Cherokee Latitude radiator replaced under warranty with only 9K miles on the car there was a manufacturing problem with the radiator, 5 years later with 60k miles on the car I had to replace it again this time I did the work myself and as I was doing the job I had seen how sloppy a job the dealer had don ( broken parts and loos screws)

    • @alanlane3869

Exactly why I’m doing it myself. Dealer work that I’ve looked at for this ‘14 Trailhawk is just a mess. Missing screws, unsecured retaining clips, etc.

Replacing the Electric Radiator Fan on 2014 Trailhawk, 3.2. Minor differences in the Trailhawk. Wow, what a pain to just replace the Electric Fan. Why, Why, Why design this way!!! But, your video is some reassurance to what I am right now in middle of. I am stuck trying to work the fan off, Looks like I need to remove the bottom bolts like you did for replacing the whole radiator.

I think it's engineered to discourage most people from doing the work themselves so that they're forced, Jeep hopes, to go to the dealer. I'll never own another one. Wanna buy a '14 Cherokee Trailhawk? I'll cut a helluva deal!

Thanks, good video. When I’m putting the new radiator in, the compressor doesn’t match up exactly with the bolts on the radiator, seems like one of the compressor fittings is hitting the bottom bracket of the new radiator preventing everything to line up. I’m thinking of cutting away a little bit of the bracket. Have you ever seen this before?

What is the function of the dielectric grease applied in the o-ring? There is a second o-ring in the upper radiator, do you recommend lubricating that one too?
My car has been leaking form the o-ring in the top of the radiator, I’ve replaced the o-ring (without applying lubricant) but it hasn’t stopped the leak.
