I know these magnetic rowers are generally considered quieter than air rowers, but in this video the Hydro Wave sounded kind of loud to me.
So would you say the concept 2 is much louder than this? (I know it's only a guess but I'm just curious)

Hydros will never allow CZcams to be installed on their device because it takes away from their subscription model. That’s why I’m going with Aviron

​@@johngoodchild6949 if concept start making rowers with magnetic system I will buy it strait away. but for now it's to loud for small apartment. hydrow looks realy good and it's so quiet,but i hate that idea with subscribtion especialy when you have to spend 1700$ on it. someday we will canot go on the walk without subscription🤬

You skipped over the feel for the sound. Do you get more resistance the harder you pull, as on a air or water rower? That is the main question about the mechanism, not the sound. The other issue is setting up your own workouts, as in intervals and the like. Does the "just row" function support that as well as the Concept 2? I think there are a fair number of rowers would like to do a "follow along with a boat on the water" workout but who most of the time program HIIT or other interval based workouts, or distance based workouts, and what that full programmability you get on the C2. What about that?

The resistance definitely adjusts appropriately and feels very Concept 2ish - much moreso than a lot of the rowing alternatives!

They could've easily designed it to store upright. The display arm could've actually been shorter or even integrated into the primary structure itself. Not having a simple cam design for the arm release is silly.

hydrow has a mode to use it without the subscription. but they laid off 35 percent of the work force. the company may go public at 1 billion dollar ipo.
they have 200k subscribers, but they did not release how many machines were sold. i worry some of these companies are going go bankrupt and shut off the servers. then you have one mode to use the machinel
