Cause in popular culture (especially in French bases), we all think that easyJet has no layovers, and ensures the crew is back home every night. I'm glad to learn that it's not always like that
When you have a home standby are you able to go anywhere and do anything? Also what is the time period from when you get called off standby you have to get to the airport?
I wouldn’t personally because sometimes they may only give you 90 minutes to get onto your aircraft from your house, the time period varies but it will never be less than 90 mins
Thanks for the cabin crew insights! With standby - if you're on standby until, say, 12:00 but don't get called until 11, does that mean it can only be an hour or does your standby period get extended to cover it?
If you’re called off standby you are no longer on standby and your roster will be adjusted to a flight, it could be for any duration because once you’re called your standby times aren’t valid anymore. The times you’re on standby are the time from and to that you could be called, not necessarily the time you would work from and to - hope that makes sense!

Unfortunately I don’t know the answer to that, I came into the company on permanent so I don’t have any personal experience 😩

What’s the difference between cabin crew and a airport team leader?
I’ve never heard of an airport team leader but cabin crew are on the plane ✈️ anybody to do with the airport are completely separate

Depends on the job, every job everywhere has a team leader. In the airport could be a security team leader, dispatch team leader, cleaner team leader,but yes how Megan said cabin crew job means the person who attend passengers into the plane at all time.
