Great riding! Thank you for posting. One thing I noticed compared to the other riders is that Mr. William's bike is almost silent at full lean or while turning. I get the impression that he is IDLING through the tightest section. I suspect he also has the clutch all the way out at these times to KEEP feeding power to the rear wheel. Does anyone know if my guess is correct? Anyone have a better view, or sharper eyes?
I don't know if idle is enough power to the rear wheels to be honest. I was taught, 1800 rpm is home. I suspect that Donnie Williams is better at throttle, clutch, and brake control so it sounds smoother. I could be wrong, because I am no rodeo rider and certainly don't know all the tricks.
After 46 years of riding , I thought that I was pretty good . THEN I went to a Texas Police Motor Officer Rodeo … Ha ! I am an amateur , at BEST ! If I had the time/money , I’d pay to go to one of those schools that are run BY a motor jockey and “ try “ to learn those skills … I have my local PD practice once in a while and I’ve always wanted to watch .
What grabs me most is how classy he handles the bike. It's like he's training it, telling it what to do, with elegance and finesse
