    After seeing and hearing all the top hits from the 70's. Hip Hop emerges with their own style of flavor by sampling 70's greatest hits. Old school music never dies and brings new school of hip hop a new chapter of what real music from the ages is today.

      Have you actually watched this video? Check what Havoc, DJ Premier and J Dilla do with some of the samples. Chopped up like mad and completely reconstructed to make something brand new. Try to copy a J Dilla drum pattern and you will fail. He takes single hit drum sounds and plays them without any swing settings so they completely bounce slightly off. So difficult to do. Try to find some of the really obscure parts of music that DJ Premier decides to chop up and rearrange. 99% of people would just skip past it and not even hear anything worth sampling. And Havoc messes with samples so much you can’t even recognise what they were even if you know where the sample is taken from.

    • @DJFurio
      @DJFurio  Před rokem +1

      A lot of these samples were from 90’s tracks. No internet with an endless supply of obscure music to stream and download. You really had to dig and listen to records back then to find samples.
      A lot have been blatantly used without changing them much agreed. Some have been replayed to sound like the original to avoid certain sample clearance issues. Dre did this a lot.
