I've been following your channel for a while now, I came across your channel when I was looking for chemo hats to crochet. I didn't have breast cancer but I do have Acute myeloid leukemia Philadelphia chromosome. Just making myself some chemo hats I changed the pink stripes to Orange. Thank you so much for making this tutorial it's very easy to follow. I'm also crocheting chemo hats for Moffitt Cancer center in Tampa Florida where I go and I will be donating some hats there....

(im just getting back into crocheting after about 20 year off lol) it says its a medium 4 yarn, 4x4 inches with a 5mm hook, and 18 rows....so I guess my question would be what size of hook could I use with this yarn to use this pattern, thanks so much

    • @SaraSach

Donna, I'm wondering if your count on Row 5 ended up being 60 and not 57. I've done this hat 3 times now and at no time do I ever get 57 stitches. I didn't have a problem with Row 6. It did come out to be 72. It seemed weird to me the first time I made it why all the other rows were an even number and Row 5 was an odd number. It fits fine but I wondered if I was the only one to have this same issue with that row.
