- The Diane Beanie was designed specially for the Crochet for Cancer 2023 event.
I made this soft and light beanie as it’s great for anyone going through Chemo. It’s named in honour of my dear friend Diane, who is an amazing and inspirational survivor of Breast Cancer. I hope it brings comfort and support to others going through their own cancer journey.
Thank you for tutorial, I've been looking for this type of beanie pattern. I'll give a try.
Thank you. That’s great news
So nice. Caron Simply Soft is the perfect yarn for this. I, also, am a breast cancer survivor and wore many hats and beanies. Soft is good.❤
Thank you. Yes this turned out so light and soft. I’m really pleased with it. There’s so much to surviving breast cancer. So many invisible aspects you live with everyday that others are unaware of. Sending you love.
A couple of reasons I chose this design for the chemo beanie. I love this style and of course the name. My name is also Diane and I’m a breast cancer survivor 💕. Thank you for the pattern I will be making a lot of these for the cancer challenge 2023
Oh Diane. My heart is with you. My friend went through so much. There’s so much behind the scenes stuff the outside world never sees. Sending love to you and thanks for joining in with the challenge. ❤️❤️
I have saved your link.I will definitely make.Thank you once again. ❤️
Thank you 😊
The way you explain this is sooo relaxing! I hope you dont mind me, but I might just fall asleep listening to you telling me how to crochet this beautiful beanie
Wow. That’s interesting to hear. Maybe I should do videos to send people to sleep lol. I hope you managed to finish the beanie lol.
I am making this beanie for my friend who has gallbladder cancer. The circumference of her head is 21 will this pattern be too big or should I stop increasing at row 10 as you mentioned in the beginning?
All I can suggest is measuring when you’re finished row 10 and see what the circumference is then. I can’t really advise you as I don’t know your attention etc. If it seems like it’s going to stretch and fit a 21” inch head circumference then stop. if not carry-on. You are such a great friend doing this. What colour are you using.
Also there should be a link in the description below the video that takes you to the free pattern on my blog. Just to let you know.😊
I have clicked on the show transcript but it will not show me anything.
@@sidgildashatford2209 no that’s nothing to do with it. There’s a description under the video. It starts with “I made this soft and light beanie…” and it shows “more” where you click on more and it opens up with all my links
