Lmfao. “The Diddler” 😂
So long as Batman doesn’t spend the entire movie solving riddles to find 243 trophies so that he can face him in a final battle.
Arkham knight
@England’s Guard Knight
Despite that, it was extremely fun getting to punch the hell out of him as Batman and Catwoman.
I got Arkham Knight for Christmas last year and it took me at least two weeks to collect the trophies/solve the riddles.
Beating Riddler in that final boss fight was the most satisfying moment in my gaming career.
Does anything happen in Arkham Asylum if I solve everything?
Finally a actual terrifying and menacing version of The Riddler we have been waiting for years. I like how he’s being compared to the zodiac killer, definitely giving off horror mystery vibes.
Maybe even a bit of Jigsaw too.
What about the BTAS Riddler?
@@osmanyousif7849 leaks confirmed your prediction!
Yea definitely
Yeah though I do think his outfit could have been a bit closer to the comics.
I like how menacing Paul Dano sounds as the Riddler
Getting Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow vibes, I can't wait 😃
@@thorbat I agree. Kinda creepy.
PC Principal His voice sounded creepy. Lol.
@@thorbat Even sounds like Tom Hardy Bane, the way he says justice
I think the villain in the batman movie kould be huah or riddler I think it's riddler he's the one who talk like that
This defines Riddler’s motivations. Gotham is a corrupt place. There’s corrupt politicians, corrupt policemen, etc. Yet, people decide to just ignore that and they turn a blind eye to these people. Essentially, Riddler and Batman want the same thing. The difference between them being, Batman only searches for the “criminals” and not the people behind these crimes. But what makes Riddler the villain in this, is that he goes way to far with his methods. I’m so looking forward to this movie!
Like in real life.
I think he knows Batman is Bruce, and this is him accusing him.
Crazy! And yet, I get the same suspicion that he knows he is Bruce Wayne too.... But according to the Arkham Asylum trilogy, Riddler is an extortionist. But in this movie, it looks like he is both a serial killer and an extortionist.
@Max Frankow Good theory. Also, in the comics he figured out Bruce’s identity, so it is possible.
eh i believe the whole corruption buster theory for riddler is crap- i believe it is all a scheme so he can finally prove he is smarter than the batman- like riddler has always tried doing.
“It may be cruel poetic or blind. But when it’s denied, it’s your violence you may find.” Is another one I like from the riddler
Justice. The answer is justice...

A round of applause for Paul Dano. He was legitimately terrifying in this. I'd say he was the real star of this film.
Naw collin farrells penguin was the best part of this movie
@@cn3719 I dunno. Think of it this way. When Penguin is on-screen you're thinking one of two things: "Goddamn, that's Colin Ferrell!" or you're entertained by how eccentric and sassy he is. When Paul Dano's Riddler is on screen, you are immediately filled with a sense of discomfort or anxiety because he is so unhinged. Even when he is unmasked and you see his dweeby babyface, you still think: "Shit....this guy? This dweeby looking guy is this psychotic, unhinged, unpredictable, SAW-like serial killer????" You see how dangerous he really is despite his appearance.
@@cn3719 He’s a great actor, but I actually forgot he was in the movie, so no.
robert pattinson was the star. dano didn’t steal the show like Heath did. This was a batman movies focused on batman. The dark knight was a movie that was focused on the villains.
Finally i found someone that says that, i think the same but when i say that to my friends they say im crazy
Bribe. The answer is bribe.
And this film was ABSOLUTELY incredible.
10 grand per month
what are the cases
$10.000
That was not the question
that film sucked ass if you watched the other batman films but yea ok
I'm amazed at how well they made the riddler terrifying. He's usually considered not very threating in the comics and games. I mean they had Jim Carrey play him. Nobody took him seriously BUT that's changed now
I guess you could say he gave them a REAL CHANGE
Always found that funny because Riddler is the most realistic serial killer of all of Batman's rogues gallery, as this movie pointed out sharply. There really was an infamous attention-seeking serial killer that left puzzles at his crime scenes to taunt police and detectives, and this Riddler is clearly based off him
“Nobody cared who I was until I put the mask on”
@@lolstalgic9602 Professor Pyg and Mr Zsasz are also scarily grounded.

Agreed.
He sounds bad without it
@@batman-sr2px that’s kinda the point
Sorry Jim Carrey, but Paul dano is my riddler
i personally prefer the FOX "Gotham" Riddler.. he made me appreciate and like the character alot more than i already did
Lol Carrey never was my Riddler. Now the guy in Gotham was great.
Of course he wasn't riddler, he was too goofy for that. Yet it was so jim carrey style. That's why he's the best part of the movie
Already better than Carrey lol
@@asafakiva1619 Ironically, Joker in Batman The Animated Series seemingly more goofy than Jim Carrey Riddler considering that Joker is more comedian than comic books and the movie.
Paul Dano's performance was ieerly disturbing almost to the point of uncomfort, especially in regards to his online cult and the temper tantrums he'd randomly throw when things didn't go his way.
For sure. Such an unsettling character, and when it’s revealed that he’s just a harmless looking nerd... that’s kind of even more frightening. Like in the original Halloween, when Michael Myers is unmasked and he’s just... a guy. It’s that *anyone* could do this. They don’t have to look intimidating or threatening under the mask. Anyone could potentially be as unhinged and dangerous as the Riddler, even the people you’d expect nothing from.
Now I'm understand why Matt Reeves decided to go for Zodiac Killer route for The Riddler, because an actor like Paul Dano wearing a classic Riddler outfit from comics is very out of place and not compelling for his character's motive.

tomerart right it’s just kinda catchy
@@jacobolson6145 that's what i mean it is catchy and memorizable from Dano's Riddler, that's why I think it could be iconic
The fact they made the Riddler a terrifying character was so awesome. And for a thriller investigation/action kind of movie, he was the perfect villain to create the dilemmas Bruce was cracking his head to solve. Paul Dano and Robert Pattinson were absolutely amazing in their roles.
The character was really weak, bland and non-threatening.
@@PROVOCATEURSK Yeah, I would like to say its because he doesn't have any natural powers or attributes but then I remember the dark knight joker and how good that movie was, honestly, this movie seemed a little overrated
God. I love Paul Dano. What a great actor. He already seems like he’ll be an absolutely terrifying and menacing Riddler and I can’t wait
Zodiac Killer
Coming here after watching the Batman! His performance was phenomenal. He stole every scene he was in
Paul Dano was amazing in this, he carried the film for me
He was silly
@@batman-sr2px True, after his identity was revealed, he became quite cringe. But I think that's intentional. I've always seen the Riddler as a character that tries to be intimidating but only comes off as a lame nerd, so seeing the same thing here speaks volumes of how well his performance was.
But I don't think the commenter is necessarily wrong either. Before the reveal, when he still wears his mask, the Riddler was genuinely terrifying, which makes sense. This Riddler was based on the Zodiac Killer, so it makes sense that before the unveiling, he was made to be frightening.
So essentially, before the unveiling, he was a terrifying killer, and after the unveiling, he was a lame nerd. I personally just love that.
*-"If you are justice, please do not lie..."-*
*"If YOOOOOOOOU are justice, please do not lie..."*

Bro this riddler is terrifying. From a ridiculous not taken serious villain. To a guy as serious as flooding a whole city and making endless riddles and having his own gang.
Actually, it’s more like a cult. And that’s even scarier
Dare I say it, this Riddler might be even more crazy than Heath Ledger’s Joker.
It's very rare to come across a riddler who feels like a real threat and like a serial killer. Most of the time he sounds like a nerd with a punchable face. In this movie however, riddler actually feels like a threat. He feels like someone who you want to stay as far away from as possible and I love it
Paul Dano definitely understood the assignment

Which is why The Riddler is true justice. Why be scared of that?
@@tmcttf8087 he ended up wanting to kill the whole city at the end of the movie, I don’t think that’s true justice
@@tonydordevic1757 Did he say he wanted to kill everyone? I thought his goal was just to take out the government amid the chaos created by the flooding
@@fett716 His goal was to collapse the government and create an "ideal Gotham" which is actually just an anarchy. If he's telling a bunch of people to gather rifles and trench coats up a ceiling, you know he doesn't just mean replacing the government. He seeks to PUNISH the government, and if you've seen Arkham Knight you'd know exactly what "anarchy" would do.

Me and my teacher talked about this movie his whole class period and he said something I couldn’t agree more with,”this riddler is similar to the zodiac killer, he is not someone to be taken as a joke but a serious killer” and that is why this riddler is fkn scary compared to the rest of the riddlers.
Just saw this today. Don't understand why people were talking so much crap about this movie - it was boring and slow, blah, blah. I thought it was excellent. Truth is people are so dumbed down and desensitized with short attention spans and zero patience they can't appreciate a good movie anymore. It was a long movie but I enjoyed it.
Batman was very cool, Catwoman was cool too and very sexy. And the Riddler was a very good villain with some horror elements. And how could you not like the vengeful tone in his voice ? He was seeking justice too but was misguided.
