Yog-Sothoth is the key and the gate, the opener of the way to realms beyond the ken of mortal minds. He is not a being of flesh and blood, but a cosmic entity that transcends space and time, existing in the interstices between dimensions. He is the guardian of the secrets of the universe, and the source of all knowledge and power. He is also the father of abominations, spawning horrors that defy description and sanity.

The grand daddy of the outer gods itself. Also my favorite other than azatoth because he was mentioned in my favorite cosmic horror story the dunwich horror. It mentions two of the cosmic children of yogsothoth wilbur whately and his more abominable brother the titular dunwich horror. It mentions that the old ones wish strip the earth of plant and animal life and drag it away from the solar system to some namless place for some nameless purpose.

​@cosmicandbodyhorror I forgot to mention that the dunwich horror mentions that the earth fell from some phase of being vigintillions of eons ago and that's why the old ones are intent on stripping it and dragging it away from the solar system of matter.
