I think it’s a lot better for the game’s health that they come in under-balanced rather have over-powered
Shame it will probably take about 5-6 years for any buffs to come their way.
Without OP, how WG take money from players?
It's not balanced, they don't really have mobility
I think its a lot worse for the game's health that they come in as useless and you can only play the several years old lines most of the time. The chinese bz line is useless too, i bet they will ruin the new japanese heavies too. The only tech three that is useful and was added recently is the italian td line.
@@Loudnose it's cause of the wheel turning angle if they had at least 15 or 20 degrees they would be able to do more
My oldest uncle drove the tier 6 tank (staghound/hummer) in 1948/1949 in the Dutch West Indies. So that has to be in my tank collection. Nice video Quickybaby
thank you for uncle's service, even though i assume hes a brit and im an american
@@bigtimemegaproductions he is Dutch. After WW2 ended in Europe lots of conscriptie young man where send to the Dutch Indies to fight the Jap, but they already surrended, so they came in a chaotic situation where indepence was declared and lots of European people who hardly survived the Jap camps where killed. It was tough but the most surprisingly was when after 40 years he went back to visit his fallen comrades on the Dutch graveyard he met his old opponents and there was a lot of respect and concept. He understands why they want to be independent, they understand that the Netherlands want to keep the situation as it was before WW2. And that the Dutch not only profit from the Dutch Indies but also invest a lot in infrastructure etc. As always the normal people have to fight the wars of politicians.
@@bigtimemegaproductionsMore likely Dutch.
I’ve found the 5-6-7 enjoyable to play, slightly different play style, a bit more cautious and the line isn’t over powered which is good
Historically, these very considered to be "ligh" vehicles, the fact that they are classified in the game as "mediums" is somewhat strange.
Not when you take a look at the real-life AEC. The thing’s bloody huge.
One thing they really need to fix is the sparks from the tires. I don't know about you, but I have not seen rubber spark when moving around.
oh yes, agree!! Rubber and grass = sparks in WG logic 😂
I think with better camo and traverse speed, or I guess degrees of wheel turn to make tighter circles, and better terrain resistance they would be more pleasant to play and not overpowered but still lack an identity. Im going through the Staghound now, and the Cromwell is my most played tank. Glad you brought up that it does everything the cromwell does...worse.
I'm on the Staghound now, and definitely felt more competitive in the AEC.
Hopefully not only tier 10 but 8 and 9 as well. Your input when grinding those is valuable to me at least. Love hearing bout the strength and weaknesses about each vehicle. I may not always agree but that is what makes it great.
Give 'em hell on the battlefield!
AEC is similar to tier five T-34 with 57 mm gun - 112 mm pen vs 189 gold pen
no
I really enjoyed the AEC and i m excited to play the tier 7 !
pretty cool tanks! excited to see the 8-10 tiers video
The FSV does look like a cool tank, kind of reminds me of the T71 (back when it was just the T71 and had the DA’s turret and CMDB’s hull) which was a tank I went for when I first started playing world of tanks
QB if you get into a nice matchup and don't need to fire gold, you can use the comsumables slot to change how much of each ammo you need, not just the consumables
He knows
Literally said this in the video! ~But only with field mods... not useful for grinding the line...
I am at tier 7 and the 5 had a learning curve - then I decided to take the line up as a challenge. It is slowly getting better but you have to be a very cautious mid range sniper. I explained it to my friend as the Titanic trying to turn.
dont try to turn plan your route like a udes 03 back or forwards
Its a shame, as in real life the AEC, Saladin and Staghound were very nimble, for sone reason WG didn't bother to watch the hours of video footage of them driving, lazy addition to the game imo.
I agree 100%@@johnfarscape
Definitely true - @@dekksherton6824
Hey Mr. QB i Really enjoyed this line, very fun to play.
Started at tier 6 yesterday. Tier 6 is a very cool tank. The Speed is pretty nice, and I build for boosting view range and increase turning. The gn is ok. I had only one game on tier 7 so far.
They are fun to ply so far
Biggest issue I have with the British wheeled MTs is that when you lose you wheels there is just a "whoosh", but your commander says nothing. The deflate sound can be hard to hear when there are other noises around.
QB failed to show that you can't handbrake in these wheeled tanks.
You actually can handbrake in them. You have to hold W, one of the turning keys, and the space bar. It's not like a normal tank where you let go of W or space. Also, the wheels have to be at their maximum angle for the handbrake to work. Do it correctly and you can spin 180 in half a second.
It’s hard to find that balance between having a few things better than most others and having too many things. This line gives us a reason to carry and shoot HE ammo again at least.
If the historic ones could turn as tightly as they actually could in real life it would help, the Saladin has 4 turning wheels, and can pretty much turn in a circle, all of the British Armoured Recce Vehicles had to be manouverable enough to flt down tight countryside roads, they never would have had a wider turning circle than an oil tanker.
I've been grinding these and I really enjoyed the tier 5 AEC. Tier 6 doesn't feel much better (especially when I end up on a tier 8 lobby) but I'm having fun. I'm looking forward to the tier 7 I also really enjoy that there's crew xp bonuses going on right now for the "roll Britannia" event thing so I've already started my my third perk. Made me want to grind the French tire tanks since I don't own any french tanks (been grinding for about a month) The wheels really bring a fun aspect to tanking for me! I hadn't played WoT since like 2016 and it's been fun getting used to all the new stuff in the game that wasn't around back then. (I don't remember premium tanks being pay to win but oh well)
How can you see your equipment in the middle of the game like you have?
Still grinding the Staghound so not having fun yet! Pleased to see the FSV might be more interesting to play.
2:35 it feels pretty similar to the t-34 with 57 mm, alpha dmg is 85 and I've got the reload down to 1.86 sec
These are all described as "sniper" in WOTs garage summary. Thus the great gun handling.
i've waited for this, let's see...
Whenever I see the ellipsis, I know what your thinking QB😂🎉
I only take the T7 to test because of the best camo of all the line with a spotter setup with exhaust to play sneaky.
Good rate of fire, good pen, but 5° of depression, and it turn like the titanic...
I am using exhaust system on the tier 7 and its great.
NIce title! Why would I not watch this video then? Plus I'm grinding the T5 xd :)
I'm at Tier 7
good job
Staghound in real life was a very good armoured car and equipped with a American 37mm. Some were fitted with the Crusader turret with 6pdr.
The AEC : first Game 2030 Dmg 😮, its brillant !!!!
Hi fellow tankers, how can you enable to see the equipment during the battle?
Pretty much what I thought was going to happen, with the FSV sch A and Saladin being the most enjoyable of the bunch. Shame Wargaming made them generally so mediocre, as it will likely takes years to see any adjustments.
Even though I’m drunk. In the woods but still have service. Yes I saw a QB video turned the truck on for battery and watched this video.
DEDICATION
I somehow loved the t5 i did exhaust optic and vents and the pea shooter was really fun somehow somehow i never once did below 1.5k with it haha
I’m just going to say, for now I am only grinding to the tier 7 because it looks like a lot of fun and I want to try and Mark it as high as possible.
They could save the line just by adding a speed mode like on the ebr
QB what is the name of the mod you are using to see equipment in-game?
Woo, lets go!
The tier 7 is so cute 😊
What was your team doing at the end of that last game? Half of them are sitting in base with no targets in range
QB you should try changing rammer for LNE, it really changes the line
I will with a second build after field mods! Currently grinding so no access!
Fun fact about the Staghound is that it's actually an American-designed vehicle but was produced under lend-lease in UK in large numbers while The Americans lost interest in the vehicle.
My personal take:
5: difficult, and not fun to play
6: once fully researched is fun and interesting
7: fun and interesting
8: fun when played well, but difficult to play well (at least when you are making mistakes like me)
haven't gotten to 9 or 10
I think some adjustments are needed here and there but... the whole line (except tier 10 but that one has alpha advantage) has exceptional gun handling which means there's no need for v.stab. So you have a free slot that can be used for... turbo which in turn makes those tanks the fastest medium tanks in the game (except tier 10...).
They are not flashy but they have very comfortable guns (something you often only get at tier 10) and they are fairy mobile with high top speed. Honestly, I don't need much more than that so I'm quite satisfied with them.
how would you feel if they were given the launch mechanic that the ebrs were originally gonna have, could provide a more fun gameplay making them unique but not over powered
Will they add the puma next?
That the AEC is the first on the line is... weird to me. So, there's the Humber, which had a 15mm autocannon and later a 37mm cannon, the Daimler, which had a 2 pdr, the (Australian) Rhino, which had a 2 pdr, and the (South African) Marmon-Herrington, which also had a 2 pdr.
Why the line doesn't start at tier 3 with the Humber, and the Daimler at tier 4, I have no idea. (Rhino and Marmon-Herrington being fine fodder for tier 4 premiums). (Also, the AEC had, across the marks, a 2 pdr and 75mm as well).
You ain't nothing but a Staghound, firing all the time, You ain't nothing but a Staghound, firing all the time, but with piss poor traverse you ain't no friend of mine.
When I played the AEC yesterday, I noticed another thing in common with the French EBR. Even without armor, the wheels will eat some shots with luck xD
the suckage is stronk in this line
In the first game look at the scoreboard, some pretty high numbers on the wheeled brit tanks. A guy on Quickys side got 6 kills and on the other side someone got 3. The numbers are obviously a bit skewed as it is a new tank and everything but darn! 13 kills by three tanks that on paper have very dubious stats
P.S Lovely paint job on the tier 7
so for average play this line you must put bounty equip....starting from tier 5....😮
Is this on console cause i cant find them on the tech tree
The tier VII shoots better than my Grille 15 fully aimed at one third the distance.
Where's the brit tho ?
Ikr 😂
I’m just having fun with all the soft targets right now😬
What about the t8,9 and 10?
I continue to be surprise at the use of the term "tanks" for the new armored car line. These vehicles were never intended to replace tanks except in the reconnaissance role. Comparing the two types of vehicles is like comparing apples and oranges.
Can’t wait for the american wheeled tank deatroyers
The last two British lines to come out makes me think WG hates the British.
They hate everyone non russian.
121 base penetration is actually great for a tier 5 xD
I don't like the staghound. I got a Cromwell B as my first premium back in the day and have played the Cromwell a lot. The Staghound pales in every way except gun handling. The main issue I have is the turning radius. It is so inflexible I have a hard time maneuvering the gun into position on any sort of slope. I might just have to free xp past it.
Staghound increases its gun handle compared to crommie so much that I actually think its a good sidegrade
It used to be like that on console the defenders in the town.
What mod for reticle to use with this gun now do not work now
The grind up to tier X is the most woeful experience I have ever had in WoT. Playing against tier X’s with a tier 7 gun is just stupid.
Sounds like a disney star wars sequal tank to me🤔 GG QB👍
Fun fact: the 77 mm OQF on the Comet, actually has a caliber of 75 (or 76.2?) mm, the Brits just called it the 77 so they would not get the guns of the Comet and Cromwell (75 mm OQF) (or 17-pdr?) mixed up.
Thanks for the info!
Hi, you dont play onslaught?
Way way back in the days you spawned in the middle like now
I'm coming back to the game after a couple year break, and I feel I would be more excited by a new arty line than this.
that is just a T-50-2 that got slowed down and given more rate of fire
thnx
Bizzare balancing between tiers - tier 5 has aboveaverage penetration, then tier 6 has below average, then 7 has above average, then tier 8 has average again.
They say they are supposed to be sniper tanks, so shouldn't they all have above average penetration? Buff that on tiers 6, 8 and 9, and camo rating for entire line, and then they would be pretty good imho.
they should have made them fast meds with good camo to make up for the horrible DPM and armor, QB should really play the buffed Brit heavies, as WG forgot to buff their gundep.
Hey, hey did a jingles and misnamed a tank. Called the M8A1 an M4A1
introduce tanks underpowered, then monitor their statistics over time and buff them as needed to fit their intended role
It's all in their reverse speed and good guns. I'm starting to love the 1010.
Not flexible enough, there's many tanks that can do that but better and don't have to suffer with atrocious camo and no armor
Let me guess wheeled vehicles aren't stopped by Dragon's Teeth? So not only are they in no way similar to the real vehicles, where a real vehicle existed (e.g. the Staghound with its real 37mm gun turret replaced by a Crusader 75mm gun [which it never had either, topping out at a 6pdr] turret), but they somehow have "tank like" obstacle crossing capability.
6:52 “Looks like an absolute freak…” as if any other tank in the game looks any better?
Enjoying the tier V and VII, the tier 6 isnt great tho
Look like a British AMD 56
The thing i hate the most about those new wheelers is the driving performance. you cant turn like EBRs nor you can drift like tracked tanks. And the braking and reversing is the worst. Enemy can almost go for a tea break before we change our direction
No Saladin?
respect🎉
Hate that these things turn like a barge despite having wheels. Feels so bad.
i think siegfried is much more balanced. previously i never went south cause i knew it is lost every single time when defending.
So if I put a top crew, bounty equipment, premium consumables, and get a dose of CC RNG the british wheelies are meh to ok. Thanks for explaining that QB 😂
W you find the tank ?
Really weird seeing the tier 5 and 6 turn like that.
I'm pretty sure they weren't able to neutral steer like a tank as the AEC in actuality drove like an armored car, with a steering wheel.
@@chez6459 Exactly!
got s[ammed with gold when i played them, but i was defo spamming HE lol them
So far, they suck on ice. They are fast in a straight line but turn like a full cement truck.
for me in my opinion the Scheme A is the better looking of them all
In my opinion the tier 7 is better than comet. I hate comets low standard pen. So far i really like the tier 7 wheelie.
With 600 Tanks, a new Line Just has to be OK and offer variety. They cant Always invent the wheel again (Pun intended).
So Its a nice Line introducing some new known Tanks :)
Yeah but who wants to play wheeled CDCs that turn like a Bus?
qb fully missing the overpowerness of tier 5 and 6. tier 5 tank said has 120pen and 180 gold pen. this is more like tier 6 pen. t34 85 has 144 pen and 180 gold pen in tier 6. the smaller calibre guns usually have even less pen on regular rounds. and tier 6 staghound gold pen is again more of like tier 7 pen. this makes it super easy for them to pen with gold rounds. and this is overpowered because your armor wont matter much if you get a bulletrain from a gun that has next tier penetration. i really think that rn they have been very well balanced so really. gj wargaming.
I find that these new British wheeled vehicles do not offend my sensibilities as much as the dumb-ass-Ferrary-with-Captain-America-wheels line. These may even be decent fit to the game.
