@@rona2524 Nah, back when they released preferential MM tanks. THOSE tanks were slightly worse than their tech tree counterparts because they didn't have to fight tanks 2 tiers up. No other premiums were worse than tech tree tanks or are you saying that Lowe is worse than Tiger 2? SU122-44 worse than SU152 with the 122mm gun?
This is why the British light tanks are so bad, so they can sell the premium.
That doesn't make sense as an argument.. because it's no longer a crew trainer for
any mains? IE: there are something like 2,300 Manticores in total the EU.. compare that to 600,000 Lowe tanks on EU

Even if they release somewhat decent premium, I dont think many players wants to buy it because tech tree sucks. WG literally cutting the branch they are on

So WG puts out an entire line of light tanks that are inferior in every way, and then they put out one premium tank that out performs them tier for tier in every way.

You forget (?) to mention that it has around 9% absolute values less camo rating, (39% vs 31% when it is maxed out). Actually this is like 25-30% less camo.

@@Sam-ge9bm and the pen, 229 is monstrous for a LT, the others are in the 180pen range. So sencal isn't for sure better in every-other-way.

I feel QB side stepped the argument of WG's insidious plan of under powering an entire branch of tanks in order to make their premium more attractive. I know WG has previous with this but it seems so much more cynical & blatant this time around. Hopefully they will buff the tech tree in due course claiming to of listened to players feedback & in turn wanting recognition and applause for doing so. I am Furthur irritated by the crew skill upgrades offered with the packages to "sweeten" the deal.I have ploughed more money into this game than I care to mention but if I cave in and purchase this latest offering I will have an underlying feeling of being mugged by WG.

I think I underestimated the size of the British tech tree vehicles and how good they would be as passive or active scouts. Still waiting till a large number of players unlock them so we can get real win ratio statistics out to see if sacrificing a huge chunk of combat capacity to gain scouting ability results in a poor win ratio.
That doesn't really make much sense though does it, why have a good crew trainer for a terrible line of tanks? There is no incentive there, plus as he said whilst the Senlac looks amazing compared to other British lights, compared to other tier 8 premium lights its nothing special, both the HWK-30 and M41 90 offer similar view range/camo packages, similar gun handling, more DPM, more alpha, similar pen, similar mobility and even better high pen HE shells. the HWK-30 even has 410m view range.
The simple reason the British lights are bad and I don't want to grind the line, puts me off buying this tank because what am training the crew for? For some hope that the British lights get buffed at some point, but look at the Rhm. at tier 10, its been awful for ages and just ignored. If I want a good tier 8 premium light well I have an M41D, HWK-30, LT-432, plenty of fun competitive tanks there that do everything a senlac does.

If only the standart british lights were as good as the premium one i would definatly play the line
While it looks interesting and normally I would be all over it I'm put off by the current state of british light tanks. Why would I spend money for a crew trainer for a line that is subpar and frankly aren't fun.
Juha Pöyhönen and that’s exactly the problem. I’ve played through the Setter and am part way through the LHMTV, and they are just not fun. They are simply dull, there is no reason to play them over other lights that you may already have. I don’t expect them to be better at everything, just something that makes them interesting and fun to play. You know, just something a bit different. This may be the only line that the only half decent tank in the entire line is the Premium. This does not bode well for the future. Having said that, people will buy the Senlac, and WG in their increasing arrogance will claim the British Light line a resounding success.
No QB, they didn't put a lot of emphasis on the size of the tanks. They put a lot of emphasis on the fact that you pay for one of them.

I picked this one up yesterday, pleased with it so far. Much better than the LHMTV, and getting the job done!
I have to say after using the Setter this is a breath of fresh air. Its very enjoyable with no real weaknesses. OK I'm british and try to play my nations vehicles, but I would play the Senlac through choice. Oh and the name given after the hill at the battle of Hastings in 1066, good research.

Boycott buying the Senlac in protest of the British light tanks. If it hurts there purse strings, WG may do something to improve line.
Pardon my ignorance but are crew trainers really needed anymore? Can't you just grind credits in any comfortable premium and then buy skill books?

If anyone has a problem with Quickbabys modpack not working check if you have installed wot in its right folder. I previusly had it in wot.ct and not regular wot

Thats a good idea, but it have sg like 20 more. If it is ridiculously heavy, like 10 tonnes, than the original 25(?) of the LHMTV has to be around 12t.
One round should not be significantly bigger than a 2l bottle of coke, it can't weigh like 50kg.
But that's just a few thoughts, doesn't really matter at all.

It looks like it is bigger than the standard tier 8 British light. I really think that the size of the British lights is a bigger advantage than most give it credit for, at least for the average player.

This was a fair and comprehensive review of the tank. Thanks for the video! It's a bit of a shame to slide this tank into the "pay to enjoy" category. I wish the game was more "download to enjoy, pay to support and get unique stuff" instead of "download to get a small taste, pay to enjoy." Oh well, it's a design philosophy that's completely up to the company. They do as they see fit :)
I'll wait for the standard British lights to be worth playing before getting a crew trainer.

The stats I look for are view range, cammo and mobility. The low cammo is what holds me back from getting this tank.

Well Boys and Girls QB has upgraded the British Lights from useless to really not very fun. Makes me was to grab my cash and run to the WG Store.
Is there a reason why QB stats on tanks.gg are different than the stats I or other streamers got there? I noticed that on a lot of videos...

You know what i think? They should do like a 15% damage increase so it would actually feel like a high 1-shot-and-out tank! That would make the british light tanks so much moar competative.

I am guessing that the NA server got the tier 6 version of an underpowered KV-13 as a heavy, AKA the OBJ 244 instead of the Senlac. Maybe next month we see the Senlac and EU/RU servers get the OBJ 244.

I wonder if the standard GB light tanks are what all light tanks should be like in WoT but several years too late. They are forced to have a clear scouting role rather than a damage dealer. But then throwing in poor map design and the current light tank design we have ended up where we are and they dont work
