That loud squeak means "pleaaaaaase leave me alone, you're scaring me, I'm harmless" and I've heard it a few times when the pig of lowest rang in the group gets cornered.

I'm used to watch Horror movies. But this tension was nearly too much! I always feel so helpless in these situations. The only thing I want to do is tell them it's gonna be okay.
@nevaeh peanut yeah i learned my lesson! This was years ago. Now i have gloves i use but have never had pigs fight again. It was just those 2.

That being said, Minnie needs to accept there's another queen in town!

Was one of the more intense introduction I was worried if there was gonna be a fight that broke but Gatsby was a nice relief during the whole thing cause she was being herself

Aniya Turner you should never buy just one guinea pig they are social animals max needs a partner .. it’s a really sad life for them when they are alone
We had an intro like that. We had a bonded pair join our herd and the dominant one of the pair & our herd’s dominant sow had lots of noisy exchanges. Finally, our dominant sow asserted herself enough that the other backed down. There was a moment I thought I might have to separate, but blood was never drawn & they get along splendidly now. Oddly, the sow we adopted that was a lone piggy for 3.5 years, had zero issues integrating with a herd of 10.

Minnie looked like my guinea pig just after I gave him a partner, he still is kind of stressed sometimes, he was alone since very little and my other guinea pig came from a BIG herd. They took a lot of time to get along :(

This was very hard to watch! I just wanted to swoop in and save Lulu. Must be very traumatizing to lose your friend, move to a new home, and then have up to 3 guinea pigs at a time coming at you. I hope they have since been okay. Did they draw blood on her ear? Hard to see. Lulu is very cute and I love her face when she wheeks and her ears jump too!

It shows Sylvester is the oldest of the bunch because even though he was angry he was one of the only ones who was trying to calm things down
Lulu is the prettiest guinea pig I've ever seen. A dramatic intro but they have the best owner and will be very happy.
This is exactly how all of my introductions go when I add a piggy. They eventually calm down after a few days. To this day it's still hard to watch cause you always want it to go very smoothly.

This is a really good video for showing guinea pig behavior.
Sylvester really shines (I mean he always does) because he's normally so calm and gentle, but in this video we get to see him working, doing what the dominant boar is supposed to do.
Lulu brought a lot of intense energy to the group and put them on edge. Minnie in particular was not having it and was ready to throw down. I was starting to wonder if we would see a fight but I see it didnt come to that.
Poor Nugget. I wanted you to comfort her a little but I know you can't interfere.

So much sass! I think the new one was overwhelmed. She did ok for the first minute but then the others noticed there was a new pig and they all moved in to say "hey" and she was like "whoa, back off". She's gorgeous!

This video actually gives me peace about the guinea pig I had to bring back to the shelter. Both my mom and the shelter owner had implied that maybe I was more distressed by the introduction than the piggies, but seeing your 'less smooth introduction' makes me realize that what I saw was indeed a bad introduction and wouldn't have worked out in the long run. There wasn't just chasing and peeing on each other, the new piggie was immediately submissive (and grew up in a herd) but was always chased away from food and intimidated in front of her house (my old piggies would sneak in and nip at her and then run away again) I will miss her forever though, she was the cutest and had the best piggy smell
Watching this video breaks my heart as my guinea pig just passed away.
I came home to a guinea pig laying on its back, legs and arms in the air and vomit covering her face.
