Very good points Brother! Even for their age, they sure do provide me a lot of enjoyment. I also wish that they still made NA V8s like that. Have a great weekend!
A fully sorted, slightly modified 996 Turbo is hard to beat... 100K miles is no problem. Perfect second car for those that love performance. 355 has a ton to love as well, but it's more of a perfect 'third' car, as service costs, parts availability and mileage depreciation are going to keep it in the garage *much* more than the Turbo.
I also really appreciate your honest review. So many people beat up the 355 for the maintenance. Sure it’s expensive but if you are prepared, it will be a very fun and rewarding car to own and drive. You can’t always look at these cars objectively as they are much more than that.
I own both, not a 996 turbo but a 996 40 Jahre and the choice between a 996 C2 or an F355 (I own the Berlinetta) for me is easy, 996 any day. It is more fun to drive, just as fast, doesn't fear the rain when standing still (hello spark plug gaskets), is not temperamental, pollutes less (valved exhaust), burns less petrol going fast... And although handling is different, the 996 is communicative, the F355 is a pure GT with dull/bad steering with very little feel and over assisted and uncommunicative suspensions. The sound of the Ferrari is crazy and nice (and I have stock exhausts so I am talking quality not quantity although it is still loud enough to be tiring after a few hours Vs minutes or less than 60 minutes with most third party exhausts). The sound of the 996 is nice but the car is quiet on smooth roads in normal driving but can be improved with sport exhausts. Being my daily for the last 17 years I kept standard exhaust too. Now if you asked me 996 Vs 348/328/308 that is another question, I would still take the 996 for all around abilities but I love the 348 rawness and the 308/328 rawness and vintageness that puts them in vintage Carrera category more or less as equals. I am keeping the Berlinetta not because I love driving it, I don't really do, but because it was my dream car as a kid and it is beyond beautiful... But I drive my 996 and 328 regularly. As a driver's car would I buy a 348 instead of a 355, absolutely and any day, an F348 with F355 wheels and possibly spacers handles incredibly well but on standard wheels it can surprise you and snap way more easily.
355 for by by a long shot. At least it doesn't look like a car that was designed in the 60s. Yea, the 996 is probably faster but then again you have to be seen driving it. When I get done w my S2K, we will have to go for a spin in that one... Great video
I had a feeling you might be in the 355 side Brother. I hear you, and am ready to shoot your incredible S2K when you are done!. I am glad you liked the video!
Sorry I just realized that I did not get back to your text. We took Natalia skiing and there was no service on the hill. That information made my day. Who would have thought that the 355 would do so well!
Tough decision there Adam but I’m with you on this, the 355. Those carbon fiber door panels in your 355 adds quite the touch & the sound is unbeatable. However, I can see why you also love the 996 Turbo. Both are beautiful.
The 355 was my first Ferrari, so it will always have a special place. I am glad I do not have to decide between the 996 Turbo and 355, because that would be an agonizing decision. Have a great week!
Thank you, great video. Serious Porsche man 20 years, including turbos, would never contemplate a ‘temperamental’ posers Ferrari. Then thought screw it, traded my 997.2 Turbo S, bought a F430 manual coupe last year. You’re SO right. Head always said Porsche, everything now says Ferrari…all the wayhay!!!
I am glad you liked the video Brother! You are better off without any supercars. They are a whole new world of issues. You have to love them to deal with them. Good question Amigo. Today, my favorite is the Murci. Tomorrow, it may be the SV.
@@AdamSaruwatariXtreme oh i guess too boss, imagine those were like at least 20years ago. But he said Hi and he has his own youtube channel, check him out ( Ben Alameda Racing), it might bring back memories. Keep safe boss.
love this guys' voice...
Great comparison, amazing collection!!
996 hands down for me! Great video brother 🙌
I am glad you liked the video Brother. I put you on the 996 Turbo side. Have a great weekend!
You have a lovely 355. No wrong answers here, both are iconic for their brands. I’ll take the singer 355, wish they still made NA V8s like that.

I could not have said it any better myself Bud! The cost to own any of these all seem relative to me in the end.
Back with another classic. You still have the best camera and audio work on CZcams lol 😂.

I own a 996 turbo and love it. The point is although I’d love a Ferrari the 996 is half the price.
I cannot argue with that my friend.

I always loved the look of the 355, but I know the 996 can be a real beast with mods.
Well said Bud. I am thankful that I do not need to decide between the two. Picking between two children is always tough.
Oh yea, forgot, have a look at the value of the Ferrari and then the 996.
Sorry I just realized that I did not get back to your text. We took Natalia skiing and there was no service on the hill. That information made my day. Who would have thought that the 355 would do so well!
355 man. Loved that sexy sleek look!😍👍

Hey boss, do you know Ben Alameda?
Hello my friend. That name is not familiar. I have met a lot of people through the years though.

It is very possible Bud. I just do not remember. That feels like a lifetime ago. 😁👍

No importa el Ferrari, pero el nueve once no me gusta que lo forcen
you can convert a 996 to rwd..
That bumblebee style
