The Porsche 996 Turbo and Ferrari F355 are two of my favorite cars in the similar price range. Would I chose the same path if I did it all over again?
Converting To a Type S NSX
zhlédnutí 4,5KPřed 2 lety
How much would it entail to upgrade a regular second generation Acura NSX to a Type S? My friends at Honda were nice enough to give me my own copy of the Type S Parts Catalog. Now I can answer some of the questions that many of you have been asking me about getting a regular NSX to look like a Type S. I was also able to check on parts that are shared between the regular NSX and Type S Thumbnail...

I decided to upgrade my Lamborghini Aventador SV to the Novitec Suspension. My friend Alex at SP Engineering has been trying to convince me to lower the SV for quite some time. I had to do it after seeing his SV. Let me show you how I did it. @spengineering @dpewheels

Crazy Builds

Hanging out with Dino is always a blast. He takes me on a tour of his amazing garage, and explains the driving force behind his builds. Dino tells me why I should start adding Alfa Romeos to my collection. The GTA Junior, Giulia Super, Giulia Sprint GTB, Giulia Spider Veloce, and Giulietta Spider are very clean projects.
Hanging at Honda With The NSX Type S
zhlédnutí 19KPřed 2 lety
I head to Honda's shop to get a preview look at the Acura NSX Type S. The car looks amazing, and I am very impressed all around. Special thanks to George Kudo for setting everything up, Acura PR for allowing me to shoot the car, and John Yoshinaga for working with me every step of the way on this project.
The SV vs The Murci
zhlédnutí 486Před 2 lety
The question of which car in my collection is my favorite comes up often. It comes down to the Lamborghini Aventador SV and the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. Join me as I go through what I like and dislike about these two cars. Usually it depends on the day, but I define the one that would be my choice.

Dru, Natalia, and I were looking at properties in Florida when a moment of clarity took place. News broke on a new car that I had to have. My Good friend John Yoshinaga, again, regrets being friends with me. I am very excited about this new adventure. My Bud Sebastian Laposse helped me out with the allocation of the Type S, and more on that when the car lands. Special thanks to: @hfpcivic @conc...
The Carrera GT, GT2 RS, and GT3
zhlédnutí 498Před 3 lety
I head to Vegas to hang with Dino Crescentini, a true Porsche enthusiast. The Carrera GT has always been one of my favorites that got away. The GT2 RS has been on my list of potential purchases, so it was great to see one first hand and get the take from a person that daily drives one. Seeing Dino's GT3 really makes me consider if I should put it on my list of potential purchases? Thanks to JC ...

Great video! You rarely see the 955 cayenne anymore! Still looks awesome! Well done! Maybe some hubcentric spacers to push the wheels out just a bit more..
This legend deserves more subscriber
Wow never thought Inwould see this car alive again! Palmdale Battle of the Import days hell yeah! Did you ever get to run Abel in Flacco back in the day? You guys both became legends back in the 90s! Glad I found your channel while I was looking up Porsche content! Rotary enthusiast still tinkering w the 13B in 2024!
C32b 3.5l legend
Thank you sir.
Thank you from Germany ! Helped me alot with my 996 Turbo. Where do you have the BOSCH fender cover from?
Mid 1990 saw that rx-7 ran just love it Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX.
Very pretty and unique; wish we have similar kits for latest models
Thanks so much, my battery was flat and won’t charge so I’m swapping it out!
Mobil 1 has just 10 percent of PAO, Ravenol on the other side has around 70-80 percent of PAO! Stil thinking the same? I have the Ravenol VMP 5w30, after 10 miles the oil ist stil amazing!
That R100 is the best!
I'm doing this right now, so it's very helpful! and boy, you weren't kidding. those bolts are hella stuck on there. anyways thanks for the content, threw you a sub! hope you're still doing gallardo stuff despite this video being 2 years old
1 year fast forward. I did not get the Type-S, I was disappointed 😥 but not the end of the world. I bought a regular NSX. But, I have no desire to convert just to look like Type-S because it's not a Type-S. The best modification I did was, by cutting the two mufflers out (delete the quite valves too) and simply weld a stainless pipe. I lessen the heat in the trunk and hear beautiful sounds. Shaved 25 pounds of weight and cost me nothing except my labor.
"Sorry, Honey. I'll be gone for bit because I'm trying to save us all some money by driving each of these cars from Point A to Point B... you know how it is. ;)"
P.S. Not scoring much now-a-days, either... don't call-out the wife on Social Media, for your benefit, though. She's just as attractive as my wife, let's appreciate them for who they are... our best friends. ;)... sexy stuff is something we all have to work on. Also, your kid is doing much better than our cats at skiing! :D
lmao @ if you have small children you know you must take half of your house with you every time you leave it
🤣🤣🤣
This dudes delivery is cool as. He could be talking about Hornby Railways & it would sound interesting. 😊
Thanks Bud! I appreciate the kind words.
new video bro
No TE's Adam? =[
Would you suggest Honda Coolant Type 2 Nowadays?
This guy is a very genuine person. I met him a day or two before Nopi nationals 1998 or 1999 I don’t quite remember but he was either unloading or changing wheels at Atlanta speedway and he had one of the cleanest gen 2 integra I believe a gsr so 92 93 and the rare thing is that he didn’t have tinted windows. Anyway we introduced ourselves he just said his name was Adam and we went about are ways and then Saturday came and my friend and I were walking the garage area where the vendors were and all of a sudden we hear are names from a familiar voice and it was Adam called us back to the nitto booth. He said he wanted to thank us again. He stopped signing autographs for hundreds of people that just helped him. If we would of known or recognized him we would have fanboyed for sure. All I say Adam is one of the most genuine people I have ever met on my journeys just a good dude and wish him much success. Do you still have that integra man it was clean
This is an old post, pre pandemic. But I'll take a shot. I own a Spa Yellow 97, since 97. You said something the interested and confused me. The timing belt. Like you I've changed mine more than a few times on time not milage. I'm at 69k and had it last changed four years ago. How long you think I can go from here before I need to do it again. Besides what you said getting a good person to do it, is the cost, it keeps going up.
Just viewed this. You are a good teacher: cool, competent and genuinely interested in what you're talking about. Great job.
great story with HKS. thats how early the days were. you can actually just go to SEMA, meet them and get a dealer account. something like that requires a huge buy in and monthly minimum now. they wont even talk to you if you dont have a huge warehouse. im kind of jealous of guys in your generation. yeah there was hard parts but the industry was definitely in your favor. you guys got in right when these companies started arriving and the internet was in its infancy. people had to go to retail stores to buy parts. lots of them were charging msrp and making everybody wait. they acted like big shots thinking it was going to last forever. and it could have but turns out most of them closed their shops due to them being young and reckless. they could have rode the internet wave early and made tons of loot. especially after fast and furious hit big and the whole country wanted imports. id say 90 percent of the shops in LA closed down since the 90s. anways, random ass thoughts
Thank you for this video! About to change one on an 03 so this helps. I like that wheel lift!
Glad to help my friend. The wheel life make like a lot easier for me. Take care!
Great info. I'm taking your advice on the extra window regulator and the brake fluid tester. My NSX is now 26 yrs old and has never given me a serious problem. Just need to keep the preventive maintenance up to date! Thanks Adam.
Glad I could help Bud. I am glad to hear you are enjoying your amazing NSX!
Great job!
Thanks Bud!
Adam, what are your thoughts of 2WD conversion on the Murci?
I prefer RWD, and have no plans to go back my friend.
@@AdamSaruwatariXtreme good to hear. which conversion kit did you use?
I used the Reid Performance conversion, and I have not had any issues.
Hey man I love your car,do you mind telling me what modifications you put. Because the front of your sv just hits different than normal ones
Hi thanks for the video. Can you please share the part numbers of the oil filter, plugs and washer sealing rings etc? Thanks
Thank you for this.. My PPI missed that I need brakes. So stupid. Going to try to tackle this one on my own and this helps!
Sorry to hear about the PPI missing that you need brakes. What a bummer. I hope the video helps you.
Thank goodness there's a dipstick. 850$ ouch. 40$ worth IMO
Really nice 996 TwinTurbo . You’ve got a lot of expensive upgrades, though I must say, good for you. I Purchased, my 2003 about four or five months ago , in June and it had some nice GT 2 mods Anyway, just wanted to say you got a nice Porsche
Thanks Bud! Congrats. On your new ride. I am sure it s amazing!
That vid is still pure classic import....2023
I could not agree more Bud.
Awesome sports car! I want one !!!
You and me both!
I searched for this, thank you so much.
Glad I could help Bud!
Love your video's man. In my mid 20's a had a FB 1984 RX7 GSL-SE I loved that car. I drove that car for years and it was so much fun to drive. I since been driving classic Honda cars like the 2nd Gen CRX, a 5th Gen 2000 Prelude and a 2004 V6 Accord but my current favorite is my 1991 NSX. The NSX is the ultimate car and I can't really compare it to anything else that I have ever driven and I used to work for a car rental company so I've driven hundreds of different cars in my lifetime. 😄
Glad to hear. Congrats. On everything!
Whats the ECU?
Very simple job if you have a lift. Unfortunately I do not. No way to get under it safely
Nice video.
Great comparison, amazing collection!!
Amazing Video Adam! Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge with a great informative vid. 🙏🏽
Best looking car in the world just right with performance and safety not over the top disasters like some other cars
Really appreciate this!
this is so so true this car is dope most people are actually sleeping on it ........ I WONDER IF THERE'S one here in SOUTH AFRICA
Oh my, Gary has gotten huge!
996 all day long
thank you much for this very useful video. Is it right, that there is no rear diff-oil, that i need to change? Is the rear-diff included into the trans? Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback
Looking forward when you get your NSX Type-S seeing DIY maintenance and fluid changes. Thanks Btw, the NSX has an engine out valve adjust about every 80,000-100,000 miles, or when it gets noisy. Maybe a video on that in a few years/decades lol!
Where did you get those headrest covers ?
