The Thrustmaster Eswap controller has been out in Europe for over a year but has finally made its way into the American market. We had our initial unboxing and overview of the product but I withheld my final thoughts and criticisms for this final review after logging some use with the product. All PS4 compatible controllers will work with the PS5. The ESWAP comes in at $160 - $170 and I find that pretty competitive vs scuf and other professional controller builder companies.

Any thoughts on it now that you’ve had it for 9 months? Thinking about buying it, personally I have small hands but I wouldn’t use the back pedal buttons anyways but besides that idk what to do. Any advice
For any one that has astro c40 I commented in bears video but I think it's something that needs to be said again for that one. Battle beaver customs makes a module that you swap into the casing of an old stick for the c40 and it is a game changer for the longevity of the sticks and they cost the same as the astro modules

Great review I took your advice on the Astro c40 I think I’m happy with Decision but ur are so right about the thumbstick modules going out it’s always a concern when buying an elite controller
U remember ur boy cronos back in the day where u were doing stream sniping streams?
For about 3 months ive been using the both the strikepack and/or Ps4 back button attachment with added precision rings, grips and extended triggers basically a DIY scuf/elite/astro etc! My issue with the setup is the bulkiness of the paddles but its more of a ME issue than the products itself because now i have to use my middle fingers! Strikepack is more comfortable by far! The paddle placement on the astro C40 is ideal but the reviews are subpar for that price point! Best way to get new finger memory for me is to play racing games where i can shift gears alternating the L/R paddles!

Bought the Nacon Revolution unlimited pro controller, returned it after a day due to poor headset quality coming from the cheap part used in their controller, which is a common problem with the Nacon. Turned out to be a blessing because the controller wasn't very good in general. I swapped it for the Thrustmaster controller and it was a great decision! The Thrustmaster feels good in the hand, the customisation is incredible. I have had this controller for 2-3 months now and it is definitely worth purchasing this controller!
If I can get my hands on one of these, I’d love to give it a go based off your review. Here’s hoping it comes to Canada at some point.

Been waiting for this since his unboxing video. This is actually one of the best comments he gave on a controller. Way more positive than what he said about all his Scuf controllers. I think I'll get this tomorrow.
No hair triggers / trigger stops though. So not the best for shooters. Might wanna wait for battle beaver to make something for the ps5. That's his favorite brand.

Got mine in the UK at the end of last year. Absolutely loving my time with it so far. I have had to buy new thumbstick modules which was less than ideal, but thats my only complaint with it

Little suggestion from a long time viewer: Have you considered testing the controller latency in your reviews, i know that some controllers have more input lag than others as it was shown by the Rocketleaguescience guy, im sure that you could find a way to test it so that we could compare the latency.

I own 7 scuf controllers and every single one of them work perfect. I dunno what you guys do to your controllers to break them so easily. Going on 2 years with them as well.

I know I for one had issues 2 weeks after getting one. Didn’t smash it, slam it or anything. Simply just stopped working properly.

@@ConspiracyDrakonian Just know this. That's very uncommon with Scuf controllers. Most people's Scuf controllers go bad very fast because of bad quality control. Hell, 2 of my friends had theirs go bad in less than a week. And they bought directly from Scuf.
Sorry I’m late but I got here as fast as I could. I just bought one of these last week, and mainly because of the mini steering wheel module. I really suck at driving any vehicle with a stick and I’m hoping the wheel helps. I’ve only had it for a few days, but I’m liking what they did here with the replaceable modules. Great vid, by the way.
Air : do know what's gonna be so good for back paddles if they customize ps5 controller and put Astro c40 paddles in the back of the ps5 or ps4 controller >>>>?

way back in the day of the original PlayStation I had a thrustmaster controller for it. it was my favorite PlayStation controller. second was a madcatz controller. just thought I'd throw that out there

I’ve been looking through your videos and I don’t see a video on the power a fusion Pro. As someone who has owned the only one in elite to Xbox controller I find the fusion Pro is basically the same controller for half the price. Please review?
Can anyone find the polling rate for this controller? I have gotten used to using my scuf impact overclocked to 1000 polling rate I want to try this controller but I don’t know if it is overclockable and I can’t find the standard polling rate anywhere
You can overclock this controller. You can overclock it to 1000 polling rate. I did it myself it's amazing.
As an owner of this I have a question regarding sensitivity curves. This is my first time buying an elite controller, what thumb stick sensitivity curves did you use when trialling this? Did you stick with the standard 30/30/30?

i left mine plugged in the console. then i sensed burning plastic - short circuit. i have to use it with a different cable now. i don't like the sharp edges of the dpad. i don't use the analogs, but the fight pack circular dpad. strangely it works very well

hey i just bought this one off amazon for 149 USD was in the market for an ‘elite’ ps4 controller, watched a buttload of your videos and decided i liked this one the best. purchased off amazon about 30 hrs ago, arrived 8pm last night. been playing with it since ... maybe 12 hours-ish ... and loving it. really love the clicky dpad and shoulder buttons. not having an issue with the actuation on the shoulder buttons or touch pad, must be the way i grip it, but they are always clicking as expecting. and rather impressed with the long usb cable, i was sort of worried about that as everything else i use is wireless, and no longer sitting on the floor in front of the tv like when i was 12, but the cable fits my set-up just fine with no extension needed. the only thing that i could say feels a little weird, and its prolly just a personal thing the way i am gripping, is the ‘removeable’ grips seem to rock/slip/slide a little sometimes during play. not really an issue or a minus, but just unexpected. but hey, thanks for all the vids in helping me make my purchasing decision. cheers, =:3

Hey man for the heightened thumb stick you need to buy one of the add on packs. The silver or yellow packs both come with heightened thumb sticks and adjustable tops 👍🏻👍🏻
how is the tension of the taller stick? 🙏
in the end I bought the yellow mod pack, the taller stick and swapping in the convex stick surface is great for FPS. the taller stick seems to have the same increased tension as the stock Eswap stick: t.co/k1bOCWIIme?amp=1

@@ayoubjafar2448 its convex stick is too large to fit kontrolfreek, while its concave stick is too small to fit kontrolfreek 😅
@James Woo I have a nacon revolution unlimited and kontrolfreeks fit, if it’s convex it fits if it’s concave it also fits

Just want to add as somebody who has tried controllers with paddles. The buttons on this controller may be out of the way but I would prefer that over the fusion pro that I would press accidentally all the time

I have this controller and I use the Piranha thumbgrips and they work on the analog sticks the controller came with!

I have one great controller the buttons are in a nice place for my fingers to press. Sometimes the sticks move fast then slow software problems. When you are trying to write a message it wont let you move about the letters which is annoying.

Damn man. Almost had my Nacon break the other day from my own dumbfuckery so I can feel this. Hard to replace older elite controllers when the qualities differ.

I bought this controller in de EU after youre vids. I realy like it BUT can you help me with the sensitivity? I play shooters and i cannot find anything to help me.

You could wait till this potentially drops in price before checking it out. It's apparently this maker's first pro controller, so the next one might have better button layouts for the backside.
I'd say go ahead if you don't mind the possibility of being unable to use the backside buttons.

The fighting modulo dpad is trash, its literally the same dpad as the original with a circular plastic. When i want to do any diagonals.... trash i get a lot of missinputs. The original dpad... trash its hard to do triple forward, you have to click very deep compared to the original ds4 to get an input, its really bad i dont recommend until they do a new dpad, but the other buttons feel really good, just the dpad is trash.

I have the Astro C-40, I've never had any issues with it. I use it exclusively for Titanfall |2 and occasionally Apex Legends. I think a lot of people are just too rough and not careful enough with them.
Its possible and I'm glad to hear someone liking it. All these reviews throw a person off from almost any pro controller. I think it's possible some of the controllers can be slightly defective as the technology grows and in little time we'll see the reliability of any controller with swappable modules go up. In that case astros will be one of the first or the first to have the best because their products are generally really good. I have A50's from 2014 that still work really well besides the mic not always muting after being flipped up, which isnt the biggest concern to me because they still sound whore well.
Do you play with Xbox layout or PS?

@@vincentlonbird1806 Playstation layout, there are plenty of pro controllers that are catered to Xbox players for some strange reason. This is one of the few that come like a Playstation controller is supposed to come. Is that really a problem? That's concerning, I've never switched the layout and wanted to switch it for my Brother who plays on Xbox.
Kontrol freaks will fit but they are a bit loose and not a snug fit. Can be done though
