Honeymoon is the most cinematic album of hers. Really love it, and, yes, it's underrated!
Swan Song makes lana cry. She said this about the song:
"It’s the antithesis of hopefulness. It’s about trying to find beauty in giving up. If I had my way, I would continue to persist in all areas of my life, but it can be quite challenging because I can be too trusting too soon. The burn that can come from that really can incinerate your whole thinking life and your daily processes"

What is so special about one song's instrumentals transitioning over into the next? I see this mentioned a lot, and I just don't get it? Madonna did it 10 years earlier with every song on her 'Confessions on a Dancefloor', and by then it was already done on a gazillion other albums. Our cult sometimes really is a cult, isn't it?

As i said, nobody said the transition was revolutionnary and that nobody did things like this before, just nice that he noticed the transition, so why would you compare Lana and Madonna, just bc they both make music and transitions in their albums ? That’s definitely fair - I’ve seen a lot more chatter around Born to Die, Ultraviolence and NFR and this and Lust For Life just feel a bit forgotten about!
At the time of release, it was shitted on by a bunch of morons
I’ve been a fan since BTD and this album had the least hype because UV was everybody’s die hard favorite project until her recent work.

Honeymoon is tied in the Top 3 Albums from Lana for me, right along side NFR! My favorite of hers is actually Ocean Blvd, which she references in the song Honeymoon, which I never caught! Haha. But what a Masterpiece Honeymoon is, am I Right!? 😭
And I wanted to share this amazing discovery I found about two songs on this album!
So, Burnt Norton is one of my all time favorite Interludes, of any record, and it amazingly transitions into Religion, BUT!
If you make a Playlist of Just Burnt Norton and Swan Song, and set you crossover delay to 2 seconds, Spotify or whatever you use, it brilliantly transitions into Swan Song!!
I cannot describe the feeling it invokes ❤️

Love the reaction but don't miss out on Lust For Life it is not very focused but it helps to separate it into halfs. The actual songs on the other hand are all great just not that cohesive. The first half is lust while the second is life. Also do the Paradise EP it is a really interesting piece of work that is an integral part of her discography.

Salvatore is such a gem! I think you tried too hard to "get" it and maybe that took away from the experience. The song gives summer days lying on the beach or on the grass under a blazing sun while eating tangerines (or soft ice cream lol)
