There was one guy claiming that this entire thread was false because most of the women pictured seem infertile without “child bearing hips” and going on his account led me to a bunch of white supremacist tweets. He was also worshipping this random Twitter account similar to the one in this video calling him “master” and “sir” to get advice about women. It’s terrifying but I couldn’t help but laugh that these people actually exist.
This is also the same feeling I get whenever I see a complete lost cause of an incel. Nowadays people are being way more open about their negative feelings towards women but the low key stuff has been at least somewhat normalized for a very long time. It’s something that is taught but usually not on an obvious level. Sometimes it’s something everyone is expected to roll with and it’s in the background such as chore distributions in households and childcare responsibilities that keep women at home. It’s the stereotypes about being overly emotional and the way society shames men for doing literally anything seen even so much as as feminine adjacent. Men aren’t taught to value feminine qualities and often are taught to outright reject those traits in themselves. It’s not always as obvious as a rating scale, although that too was very much normalized and still is in certain circles. I think the dehumanization runs deep and even women can begin to devalue and dehumanize themselves and other women because of how women are portrayed overall. Society doesn’t treat traits decided to be “feminine” as useful or positive unless those qualities are used in service to others, usually inside the home with those traits directed specifically at a husband and children. Not all men, yeah, that’s obvious. Great men exist, yes. Most men, I don’t think, are mask off women haters, but low key misogyny has been instilled as a normal way of life. It just benefits men, who happen to also be mainly blind the the effects, more than it benefits the women who buy into it.

I have been with several men who follow these weird Dan rules or some version of them and every single relationship with one devolved into full blown abuse whether it was a gay or straight relationship. I am not sure why these dudes are so prevalent and seem to garner a following. It's like a weird abuse cult thing, not a genuine attempt at helping men find good partners.

My favorite thing about "making yourself seem bigger than you are" is that I worked nights for a few years during college (and a little bit after) and there were times where people would ask me, "Don't you get scared walking around campus at night?" I don't have Twitter, but I did a quick look up on Dan's profile. He has some crazy things posted. He seems to be a weird conspiracy theorist about human history and how the planet works. The grotesque comments about women and modern culture are par for the course, but like, he's more unhinged than he presented in the thread about women. And that was massively unhinged already.

I have never seen the manosphere rating system being used to predict a woman's personality, and even using the Big Five traits to make a statement. This is very bizarre and a little bit sad to think about a person actually spending time writing something like this.
