Trench sequestration is super effective. I struggle with trap door tech but I think it's just my technique
I agree on extra water in pc, I use 3.5 quarts. Also Packing rags in around media bottles, grain, sub helps with the regulation of pressure as well. Eliminates boil over, strectched bags.

question: in the instance where we want to cover the existing agar in a plate with new agar to only have myc come out on top, what is the maximum temp of the new agar being poured before it destroys the myc? thanks

@@AV4U2 Look into Thailand and Vietnam. Best places on earth. You need money. Either online, independently wealthy, or a degree to get a teaching job. Tons of videos about it.

I don't know where to go though, I'm just looking to chill with smart friends and enjoy in my little cocoon home and take my time exploring, doing fun little projects here and there, or whatever... But if I'm gonna start a reef tank for example, I wont be traveling away for a long time unless I got friends who could spot me with my tank while I'm gone. I don't know... it seems hard to have real friends nowadays... I got a dog here too, he's a brave great dane, my best friend of 140 lbs actually, talking about friends. Do pans need all fae when colonizing
I wanna let n it colonizE....then when colonized.. case.. n put outside in box....so it can get fae... n grow ....but not sure if n they need it (fae) the whole time while colonizing.
When I am colonizing spawn, I make the grain bags smaller so there is more air in the bag. When I S2B, they seem to like more FAE. I fruit the same as cubes.

I have made like 30 plates of clones on agar and 3 of them have contams penicillin being the culprit, it’s always on the parts of the agar that aren’t colonised,
I’ve never had a plate that is colonised fully get penicillin contam, is there any reason why? I do all my mycology in one small room and don’t have any problem with my monotub,
I sterilise grain for 4 hours , and my coco coir for 4 hours .
Is the mycelium just stronger than the contams? I had 30 tubs with a 100% successs rate and I can imagine the room is sterile at all.
I see many people who have problem with such contams is this due to there environment and introducing contams or the contams where already in the substrate and spawn?

@@bengreatrex1364 I think the Penicillium is happy to sporulate and move on. No reason for it to colonize the entire plate.
Contams are everywhere. A lot of it does come from the environment and poor techniqes.
