Yep! It’s basically a completely new monitor screen so it has to be connected at all times

I always struggled with sound in Krita, especially with FPS higher than 6 (which is smol)
converting mp3 to wav really helped and improved it

question, do you know any free editing programs for pc you would recommend? or an you used it the past that worked well?

What brush presets do you use? I couldn't see what they were because of your gif icon in the corner
When I paste the copied (ctrl + c then ctrl + v. The default options) section of an image or its entirety on the animation timeline I end up having that image on the earlier frames too. I do add blank frame all the time and also did try it without adding it. The other detail about it is it also adds another layer that shares the same name. Surprising there is no single article about this. Anyone help?

I'm currently working on a krita animation and I'm still very new to the process, but I've hit a snag. I would like to use one background frame multiple times, while being able to manipulate it slightly without redrawing the frame. It's a Portal animation, so I've drawn the portal surface, and the background that will appear once it opens, but I would like to keep the portal surface frame in place, as I gradually open a hole in it.
If you have any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!
I think I understand what you’re trying to say! So basically make the background thats inside the portal as big as it needs to be (example: how it should look on the final frame or the frame where the portal is largest)
Then copy the frame as many times you need to for each frame and place them in the right places on the timeline to match with the timing of the portal opening.
Then erase the edges that show up outside the portal where needed in each frame.

oh I would not say it is a free photoshop alternative..... its much more than that. GIMP is a free photoshop alternative. I just started with Krita not so long ago, but it is quite clear it is not only capable of making animations but has emphasis on creating digital artwork and painting. It is like what if Photoshop would have a sister who loves Games, and Painting more than just editing photos. The right click pie menu is something Photoshop could learn from.
how do you save your animations on Krita? mine save as individual frames, is there a way to fix that?
When rendering make sure to select ‘both’ or ‘video’!

I use a specific one! I believe it’s just called ‘pixel’ and the icon is a pencil
As a paint tool sai user I find krita very complicated :( i want to learn it but there are so many options that I dont know how to draw there.

In animation terms it means turning your animation into a video file like an mp4 or mov!

@@Angelicmoon40 I’ve had Huion but it was very much a beginner’s tablet without a screen, it was literally the size of my hand haha. From what I’ve heard Gaomon is better, Huion is more expensive too
