- In this video we motion tween a background so the car we animated looks like it's driving.
Make sure to check out the short film we are working on in Krita as well, just click the link below.

I'm so happy I have krita on my Chromebook OS touchscreen Laptop, I'll be making some amazing cartoons and Anime fan Films with it soon, it's going to be for my channel here.😉🤙🏽📽️🎬📺
Fabulous tutorial - thank you! First animation lesson that I totally understood first time around.
Yes Krita can be a little complicated but once you know how to use it doing animation becomes easier.
thanks
i wanna start animating and it realy helped!
Sorry to say but i'm just saying don't hate me but u mean Really*
How would you go about looping the background? I tried copy and pasting the transform time section but the loop spot is super noticable.
Good question. In order to loop the background you would have to draw a beginning that looks the same as the end and then when the background animation stops it will look like the beginning again. You would then set this up to play continuously, I have done it in a few of my videos but I will make one to explain it in more detail next week. Another cool way to do this Is to create a compete background animation then import it into Krita. I will also explain that one too. :)
Thank you that worked great.@@animationstationm
Looping video will be up next week. Click link below and thanks for watching. Cheers czcams.com/video/EZCJHZjdJ2g/video.html
Good video. I'm commenting here because I find it hard to find resources about tweening or using curves in general on this software. I like working with curves but I'm finding Krita's kind of unwieldy. Trying to animate specific properties, it doesn't seem there's a way yet to create a curve keyframe for one or a few specific properties.
But most importantly, which is linked to the above... any way to reset all transformation on a transform mask at any frame? I guess that's all I need. Maybe there's some nice long discussions on some forums about this topic, but I wouldn't mind discussing it here either.
Good question. I'm not sure entirely but there is a way to curve a tween. I will do a video on it in the future. The best way to get the information is from the Krita instruction manual. Found at this link, you may have to do some digging though.

@@animationstationm I think I've gotten the hang of it after some experimentation. The answer to the question about keyframing specific properties is irrelevant because you don't have any real need to do that; if I'm not animating a property, it doesn't matter if it's being keyframed because all of its keyframes will be the same.
About resetting transformations, all properties except scale start with a value of 0. Scales start at 1.
Hi great video. I got a question to make the shining shade true the car you use the same function is the one on this video. Using the keys?
I don't think I understand the question, can you please repeat it. Also, to make the "shimmer or the shine" I just turned the opacity down so that the color I choose was "clear or transparent".
Hi yes you have a fade light shade going from the front of the car to the back light reflection moving so mi question is how you make that. You use the same technique as you show on the video ? On a separate layer with a mask?
Yeah you call it the shiny in front of the car that move across the side at the binging of the video
New sub here bro..nc turorial....what are the size of your BG?
The background can be imported at any size but the canvas I work with is 1920 x 1080P. I use this size so that when I export my animations they are perfect for CZcams. You can set this up in the settings.
I heard krita isnt good for longer animations is this true ive only done short ones so far
I love it because I do all my animations one scene at a time. It works great for longer ones as well you just have to have a good computer. I recommend 16-32Gigs of Ram min. See my video for setting Krita up for animation and you should be fine.

How did you import the picture? Are there template pictures in Krita or where do you get them? - thanks
I will do a quick video on that an post it. You can import any picture you like.
Thank you
Thanks for asking...I'm also new into krita I tried what I saw on the video but sadly I couldn't import and I was trying to animate a talking emoj
@@Thabza_mk did it give you any type of error? It may not accept the type of image you’re importing. Try the process again with a different image and see if it works.
@@animationstationm what I meant is i don't know how to display/kinda import into animation timeline maybe it might that I used the transform option I don't know but the wasn't any error I just can't do it
How mau frames make a minute in krita pls
Not sure about that but it would definitely all depend if you were animating on "ones" or "twos". You can always leave long pauses between frames for effect as well. Here is what I found online about Krita.
10000 frames is quite a bit its over 6 mins of animation when animating at the standard 24 fps.
At 24fps it would be 24x60 sec
Thank you@@berizzle
