My grand parents fled Russia in 1911. They were Germans that had been recruited to farm the steppes. Things were going down hill in Russia and many Germans from Russia ended up in Lincoln, NE, USA. Lots of Latvians came here after WW2. My next door neighbors are Ukrainian. Seems like within a couple of generations you can't tell where people are from. Politicians ruin countries. Hope you find comfort wherever you settle.
Really Larry SCHWEITZER your family is German!? 😂 😅 🤣

My parents and grandparents still remember living with Volga Germans in their villages cause they were deported here, to Kazakhstan during WW2 by Stalin's orders. They all said only positive things about local Germans.

In August I traveled from Russia to Georgia, by land. That was a ridiculous experience of crossing Russian border (the customs asked me a lot of personal questions) and easy Georgian border (literally just "welcome to Georgia"). Glad you've made it to Georgia, Natasha! Tbilisi is a fun place to explore
please stay there and dont return to russia - we russians dont want you here. russia is for proud and patriotic people, not traitors and embarrassing people.
Are you staying for a long time? It's funny now because so many of the Russian CZcamsr (in english at least like NFKRZ, you, Natasha, etc) have moved to Georgia.
Do you worry about them pulling CZcams offline there?
Niki has not moved I dont think.
Funny, I crossed the border too but in June, 19. No questions asked. At all. On neither of two border controls.
My great grandfather fled Ukraine for Canada in 1920 to escape the civil war and being forced into the Bolshevik army. He was 18. I'm 18 right now, I've seen photos of him from that time he looked just like me at this age. I haven't even left my hometown of Calgary, Alberta for more than a month before. Could never imagine just having to pick up everything and start a new life in some random country across the ocean at this time.
just imagine packing everything and moving to newfoundland or montreal, same country but 30+ hours away.
it really isn't that complicated.
It is simple to imagine ,if you watch titanic, now this movie is my life,i hope for a life boat though)))
I am freaking excited for whatever you put out next - and I’m soooo happy you are free!
The old man that used to come haul our trash to the dump was born in Russia. His parents fled Russia to come to the U.S. and they both died on the way. He was an orphaned boy, alone, in a new country so they put him on an orphan train and sent him out here to an orphanage on the Nebraska prairie where he grew up and lived out his life. I thought that was so sad but he was always cheerful and smiling.

@@IvorMektin1701 Thank you. I’m gonna look that up and watch it.
Did he leave the Soviet Union or Russia?
I had a Russian friend who drove me through Belarus into Poland. When we crossed the border into Poland, he exclaimed "freedom." He really felt it.
IS there some kind of separate body to puvuvstvovat freedom? How to feel or measure it?
So happy to hear that crossing the border to my country feels like freedom and you can be sheltered here. Hope we treat you well here in Poland :)
Why Poland still allows Russians in is beyond me. They should be permanently banned to not allow Russia to claim that they should be “rescued” from oppression.

Соевый куколд твой знакомый,
Hi Natasha! I was just watching Niki Proshin's latest vlog from Istanbul where he has just arrived. He mentions how you helped him with your phone number. I want to add a big Thank You for doing this. It is wonderful of you to help him out. Like everyone else, I believed that he would remain in St. Petersburg for much longer, but for his safety, I'm glad that he (and you!) left Russia when you did. Almost all of my Russian vloggers have left Russia, or are trying to do so. (Crazy) Sergey has turned up in Mongolia, and you're in Georgia. Wow! Such a huge exodus. Be careful and be safe! Cheers from Texas.
I one hundred per cent affirm your thanks to Natasha for helping Niki. I will be interested in hearing from Natasha in her next video how she is adjusting to life in her new country and city. I wonder what impact she thinks the 10s of thousands of young Russian men fleeing conscription in Russia will have on her and other Russians who arrived earlier and for more ideological reasons opposing the war. I'm sure there are some of those in the new arrivals but a lot are fleeing sacrificing themselves in a pointless war, which I understand, but some were mouthing support for the war until they actually were called up to participate and lose their life. Will she help some of them become adjusted to their new city and life? Is she helping others, like Niki, escape? How does she think Georgians will react to the Russian draft dodgers. I saw some protests at the border and they didn't look too happy at the Russians streaming in.
Fantastic! Thank you, Natasha! Even though some people call Niki a deserter and coward and his fame will get him in trouble, at least he's safe (took him a while to finally listen, but glad he did).
Yes. I just saw that video...detailed video...and I am glad he has left. Istanbul is gorgeous and a more different culture than that of European Russia would be difficult to find. Let us all hope that the safety of these young and courageous people remains that way. How stressful but liberating at the same time.

Well done to leave. I'm only surprised it took so long. Where can you go from Baku? I had only one guess ... and I recognised Zack's voice before we saw him, which only confirmed the answer. When I was waiting for a USA H-1B visa after my similar Russian work visa ended (in 2018) I considered resting in Georgia, as it is maybe the only country in the world where I could visit for 12 months without a visa. In the end I spent just less than 6 months at home in NZ (less, so as not to regain tax residency), and then five months in Fiji. Russians also can be four months in Fiji without a visa by the way -- and you only have to leave for a day or two and return to get another four months.

It's worth pointing out that in most Western democracies you would *never* be asked why you are leaving the country only why you are entering it. Georgia looks lovely, enjoy your new life.
Yet....
If I was asked that I would say it is because I am the ressurected bin Laden is disguise. I would also ask for the officers name and number for my complaint. I would go full Karen on that situaiton.
I'm French and I travel quiet often. From my experience, in "western democracies" airport security don't ask why you are leaving the country, but they want to know why you are boarding a plane. Especialy when the country is at war, or when you take a plane to the U.S. (in fact, in most airports I know you're supposed to be at the airport 1 hour in advance for a domestic flight, 2 hours for an international flight, and 3 hours for a US bound flight).
I'm in the UK, and been asked why I'm flying out a few times.
Uh... I mean they usually ask business or pleasure and some perfunctory stuff like that.

They do, which is more than understandable. There seems to be a huge Russian minority there and since a) they didn't even fight for their own state and let Putin have free reign, because most of what Russians do is flee and complain that "not everyone is like that" b) having a large russian minority seems to be a big reason for getting invaded to "protect their needs"; so, as a state, having many russians living inside your borders is like a jackpot in having only problems facing your future and no actual help to expect from them.

Outside gov send random or the goergian cops to capture people for them. Ur not safe until people don't know where u even are.
Free and safe 😂😂😂
Greetings from me from Atlanta, Georgia to you in Tiblisi, Georgia...I'm so glad you were able to make it out of Russia safely! Looking forward to your upcoming videos. :)
...из борделя :)) Хотя не смешно: я сочувствую Украинкам, которые теперь массово попали в западлячьи бордели.
@@user-oq4uj9vf6j Disturbing, if true. What are your sources?
@@user-oq4uj9vf6j What about you my dear Putin lover? Maybe you would love to end up in one of his brothels 🤣...

Amazing! You left right before they announced the Russian military draft. Wow amazing timing. I wish you all the health, success, and happiness. Looking forward to more videos
Good for you! You will not regret it.
A moment many of us have been waiting for. A lot of people have love and respect for you! Keep going!

I'm pleased you got out, well done
This is such an exciting new chapter in your life!
Welcome to Tbilisi 😊 Please do keep in mind tensions do exist between Georgia and Russia for obvious reasons, and since hundreds of thousands of Russians have moved to Georgia recently, some people may be somewhat apprehensive since random “Z” symbols and other similar behavior has recently taken place in Tbilisi. Georgians will welcome you with open arms as long you maintain your decency and respect ❤
Natasha I am SO HAPPY for you. Look forward to seeing your future videos and traveling with you via CZcams. Health, happiness and a new life.
I've been watching your videos for a long time, I am fascinated by your experiences.
My wife is from Miass in the Urals.

It was also so good to see you hanging with Zack, I’ve watched many of his videos since you’ve introduced him and I find him very admirable and courageous. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing future videos as you explore Tabilisi and the rest of Georgia!!!

Looks like you made it out of Russia just in time. Congratulations!
Women aren't mobilized in Russia, usually just men.
@@caim3465 Not true, women are mobilized as well as men. However, in many cases the Russian army mobilize them as doctors and nurses.
@@A1lexander thnx, i didn't know that.

Glad you were able to make it out safely without to much trouble. It will be interesting to see what you show later on.
It's definitely a sad thing to leave the home country, but it's a reminder to all of us - we can be left in a very unfortunate position because of the politics. Sometimes it seems so distant, but eventually it has significant impact on every individual. Stay strong, Natasha, be independent, keep doing what is best for you!
when you live in our country, this video would have been stupid. people praising you is stupid. the world needs to no that we are the same and stop making war.
there will be a time that humanitie needs to get of this planet and we will need to work together. SO STOP THIS SHIT
War is not only politics, it's hundreds of thousands human lives taken intentionally
Obama jailed 10k people during occupy wall street...assange is poisoned...Natasha still treated quite well compared to some other folks.
@ihor exactly, I came here to say the same thing. This isn’t mere “politics”, it’s pure physical destruction and horror. It’s thousands of people being killed, maimed, raped, tortured, and disenfranchised. These horrors are perpetrated by hundreds of thousands of Russian soldiers and supported by millions of every day Russian people.
You are both correct.
i'm happy you made it safely out of russia! so excited to see you in georgia, you genuinely sounded like you had already had a weight lifted off your shoulders. i'm looking forward to seeing how your adventure in this beautiful country goes, and seeing you return to wholesome happy travel videos instead of the more depressing but important videos on all the bad things happening in russia. georgia is a fascinating country and i look forward to seeing you show it off!
One good and interesting thing about this horrible situation with Ukraine is that I/we also get alot of info about (atleast for me, and I think for alot of english-speakers/non russian/ukrainian speaking ppl) alot of really nice places I have never really knew anything about before! When all this is over Im really looking forward to visit alot of new places I did not know existed before.
Yes, she is funny actress) She made kind of show of usual process of emigration. 😂
We were concerned about you. Glad you are safe. Wishing you all the best in your new life. Stay safe
Natasha, thank you for these lists on leaving your mother country during these distressing and difficult times. We support you and your quest for freedom.
That was tough; but you did it and you were kind about the motives of Airport Control. Could drive the sanest person a little crazy, eh? A new adventure, Natasha! Well done.
that was tough? what a joke.... you know what is tough? facing 15 years in prison for standing up for what you think is right...|
WOW RUNNING AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS AND FASCIST LEADERS, SO BRAVE, SO STRONG. RUNNING AWAY IS REALLY THE BRAVEST THING SOMEBODY CAN DO.
psh millennials
@@jacksteven781 They get many days of freedom to live. Some people just prefer that to being the minority with no future (jail, execution, deportation to inhospitable Siberia or gulags) in a country with no hope as many people eat pro-Kremlin lies than the hard truth (which is also escapism).
Hi Natasha! I’m so happy to hear that you have decided to take the leap into this new chapter in your life. I wish you good luck and all the best that life has to offer in this world. I hope this is the beginning of a new life filled with peace and joy and freedom of expression for you. I’m so excited to see how this new freedom will allow you to grow and create. And, also, I think your response to the airport employee was an obvious and normal reaction because you were already nervous and anxious about your trip, so your guard may have been up and instinctively were defensive when questioned . I think it would have been different and expected if airport personnel questioned you like that on your way INTO the country and not on the way out. Sending good vibes your way.
Good luck in your travels, may it bring real freedom
best luck on your new journey. I think those who can get out and are are wise.
It's very uncharacteristic of me to watch a channel like yours, yet you've hooked me! I've been fascinated with the content you've produced these past few years. Hearing that you are in Georgia, and that you are a little bit less restricted on the work you do for us, is great news! I am looking forward to seeing how life unfolds for you, Natasha. All the best from Pittsburgh USA.

How many Georgians do you know? Georgians still think its OK to murder a guy that slept with your daughter and didnt marry her lol
Hey Natasha, best wishes. Take care, look after yourself. I think you left at the right time.
The airport and plane food look really good. I am suprised at the modernity of your trip. Safe travels.
@@myvictory8294 Well, the Ukrainians say that we don't have toilets, that we are savages. And the liberal citizens of Russia say how bad and poor Russia is. By the way, something tells me that the author of the channel is just a liberal.
