Stop dat! Forgive the "Stop dat!" but you guys should see him on The Streets Of San Francisco season 5 episode Dead Lift. His character is a body builder who is emotionally unstable and his hyper sensitive to criticism and laughter mainly from women and at the beginning of the episode he meets some gal while they are jogging in Golden Gate Park and she invites him to her residence and wants to know about how often he works out and why. First the girl wants to record her interview with him he starts blowing his top by saying "Turn this off! Turn it off and I'm no freak!" then when he flexes his muscles like an ape does she laughs at him and tbh it is rather funny and he gets really upset and she told him why she was laughing he really goes psycho and says "Stop dat! Stop it. I don't like it. It's beautiful. It's what the body is supposed to look like!" and he killed the girl by shaking her to death

This movie is not so bad it's good. It transcends the concept entirely. It is both a dumpster fire and a masterpiece simultaneously.
I agree wirh you. The movie was made to be more like a comics, than a movie. The costumes, the decor. It was a nice one, but people want a more simple movies I guess. Here you need to have certain point of view to be able to see the picture.

I distinctly remember that Schwarzenegger said he'd never play another villainous role after being evil in *The Terminator* , because I'm guessing that Schumacher gave Freeze a sense of humor with all of the ice/cold puns and jokes, which is probably why Schwarzenegger agreed.

True. It isnt exactly her usually style. She used to be an intellectual with witty sarcastic statements. This version isnt horrible, it's just so different. I wish they would have taken some notes from the older cartoons.

I think people underestimate the brilliance of Ivy's actions here. By 'killing' Freeze's wife and pinning it on Batman and Robin, she is able to direct Freeze's rage toward the rest of the world to suit her own plan. Quite clever, really. And Freeze himself is so consumed by rage and a desire for revenge that he never once realises that he and Ivy's plans (freezing the globe and populating it with mutant plants, respectively) are completely incompatible.

What's so interesting is that Freeze and Ivy did not start off as bad people. Ivy turned into an egotistical maniac once she became a literal walking plant to save the vegetation and influenced a vulnerable Freeze who wasn't entirely evil but did some pretty criminal things all in the name of love and rescuing his wife. It just goes to show what happens when good intentions conquer human ethics and grief conquers humanity. Plus also what happens if you have bad company around you.
Really love how nuanced this take is in an otherwise abomination of a batman movie

Also just an FYI in Comics Bane’s time looked like it was limited at this point bc the venom had some health side effects. It was sort of implied that he would die anyway.
In an episode of Batman Beyond, Bane was a sick, frail old man by then, because he used Venom way too much in his younger days.

People saying this movie is bad. It's MENT to be corny, and they do it brilliantly. This movie is excellent.
That is EXACTLY what I missed as a kid watching this when it first came out. It is meant to be campy as a homage to the 60s show. That went over my head and , I think, most people’s head. It’s a really fun movie.
Ivy trying to murder Nora is easily the most evil thing she did in this movie.
God, right there, I felt the pain Mr Freeze felt when he thought his wife is dead by Batman's hands and that idiot Poison Ivy manipulated him to hate him even more, even though Batman is aware of what Mr. Freeze is trying to do and that is help him find a cure for his wife without costing lives.
Finally someone says something. I felt like I was the only one that would bring it up. Instead everyone else is joking about how he sounds or making jokes about Ivy trying to kill his wife. I'm glad someone can understand what an emotional moment this is.
Yeah. The movie is mostly campy, but when he thought his wife was dead and saying "I shall repay them for sentencing me to a life without the warmth of human comfort", I felt that.

The scene “worked” fine until 2:13, they could’ve cut it just before Ivy spoke.
Even though this movie is unintentionally funny and stupid but I love Freeze's love towards his wife and especially when he helps Batman towards the end to cure Alfred even though its pretty ridiculous that Freeze's wife and Alfred has the same disease.

In hindsight, pairing together two villains who have goals that completely contradict one another probably wasn’t a good idea. Seriously, these two want pretty much the polar opposite of their partner. Freeze wants to turn the planet into an ice cube, while Ivy wants nature to take control. Their goals do not coincide at all. This team up was always going to end in betrayal.
Wdym? Freeze just wants revenge for his dead wife, while Ivy wants plant supremacy. Both goals require killing all humans

They literally picked two villains who are nearly the polar (no pun intended) opposite of each other in their goals. If Victor has his way, it’s more than likely that Ivy’s plants might not survive, and if Ivy’s plans come to fruition, she will be accomplishing something Victor doesn’t seem to want. In other words, these two would end up trying to kill each other once they had Gotham. Ivy was already manipulating Victor by trying to kill his wife. What surprises me is that Victor actually fell for it for most of the movie.

I was very dissappointed when that snake/flower hybrid didn't made an appearence grown as a giant monster in the movie climax, we've seen something like that in different animated series. It would had been much better than just Poison Ivy comming out from that giant cabage that we got.

I didn’t like this movie much when it first came out, but as an adult I absolutely love it. What I missed when I was a teenager was that this movie was purposefully campy and it’s so much fun. Uma is amazing and these costumes…..whether you hated this movie or not, this movie should have gotten an award for costume design.
