Guys, can you recommend leather brand shoes for wide feet? I dont like my feet to be squished and the shoes pointed.

Could you do a video about shank buttons with a chin attached to them. I see them on coats but I don’t know the purpose of them and if they have an actual name besides them being described as two buttons attached on each end of a piece of chain. It would be really helpful if you did a video on that.

I prefer straight heels, no tapering. Because my legs below the knees are a little bowed I need more stability.

I think trying to do remote bespoke for shoes is hit or miss at best. Even at a lot of well established bespoke shoe makers who take the measurements in house, the fit of the finished products are often disappointing. And on a first or even second pair of shoes, this happens surprisingly often. Shoes are very hard to fit because the foot expands and retracts all day long. Once the shoe is finished there really is no way to make additional adjustments. And certain types of shoes such as loafers are particularly difficult to get right. I think if someone wants bespoke shoes, trying to do this remotely in order to save money is NOT the way to go, especially for a first pair. You need to go to an established house and have someone who has a lot of experience in measuring, size you. Watching how you walk is also part of the measuring process. There is both an art and a science to achieving a great fit with custom shoes.

Unfortunately, not everyone has access to bespoke shoes locally, and fortunately, today everyone has a phone where they can snap videos. I certainly sent Simon videos of me walking and wearing the trial shoes. Of course, unless the trial shoes is made from the same leather, it will feel very different when you wear it. That was the case for waymanbespoke too. Even if you go to a local shoemaker, the first shoe is likely not going to be perfect, and every once in a while a shoemaker has to remake a pair. It is possible to add a bit of material underneath a sock liner for sure... I made a loafer as a first with waymanbespoke and overall they are good. I can wear them all day comfortably. Would I make some changes with a subsequent pair? Absolutely. Now I am currently also making a video with my local bespoke shoe maker and I think we will do a video comparing both loafers, and experiences... So stay tuned.

It's no surprise with a new era of machine learning and the convergence through augmented reality technology will transform the sector of apparel to enhance consumer tastes and with the benefit of greatly reducing customer returns which can eat into profits.

Understandable. The problem is shoemakers are not belt makers or wallet makers or watch band makers. If you want top quality you have to make each item with a specialist…

I want a video on what kind of casual shoes for grown men to wear that are not sneakers. If a grown man, whether he is 25 or 32, wants to dress more proper and more sophisticated, what kinds of casual, non-dress shoes does he wear that are not sneakers? I need a guide to shoes for non-dress purposes for men who want to dress like a proper grown man.
